Amazing experience, all the staff is so nice with a great energy, the location it's so sexy, it feels you are in a rooftoop in New York and you can disconnect with the classic miami vibes. The cocktail are really well made with amazing balance and tastes so good especially the Noble.I really suggest you to give a try you will be surprised.

**Response to the owner's comment: I did not go during Music Week, I went early February, it was a not so busy night, and still I felt unsafe as the place was out of control, and people got injured with broken glass and did go to the ER. Maybe you should spend more time on-site, or do a improve security for the safety of guests. There was no dress code. At all whatsoever. It's a low end venue. This Bar in the heart of Downtown Miami, is promoted as an upscale venue, however after checking it out on a Saturday night, I came to realize it's definitely low end. The place is decorated nicely, they do have good music.. however there is no dress code or standards. The night I went patrons were hurt & taken to ER with broken glass injuries, as glass breaks, the staff doesnt't clean the areas, men were crowd surfing, and there were fights. I really did not feel safe, staff has no control over patrons acting out of control. I do not recommend this place, or women going alone..

Look, Bar La Real is beautiful, very nicely appointed and is located in the attic space of a downtown building they're calling the "Republic Entertainment Bureau". So why only 2 stars? Well, there's a metaphor called the "boiling frog" which says if you place a frog into boiling water, it immediately jumps out, but if you place the animal in tepid water, then slowly raise the temperature, it doesn't realize it's being boiled alive until its too late. It feels like this exact metaphor is playing out in the Miami area bar and cocktail scene, and Bar La Real is the latest to raise the temperature on us.A decade ago, the going price for a well-poured cocktail was about $7 or $8. Then, somehow $13, then $15 became the going rate. People bristled, but continued to patronize those places. At Bar La Real, their slogan is "Tropiglam - The thin line between extravagant and elegant", and they've kicked the boiling frog metaphor up a notch: All the "elixirs" or specialty cocktails listed on their menu are $19. The cheapest wine by the glass is $18 and even a bottle of water will set you back $12 and, of course, "for your convenience" there's a 20% gratuity added to every bill. How kind of them to consider how convenient this is for their customers.Sorry, Bar La Real, but there are too many other places in the downtown and adjacent Brickell areas to get a well crafted cocktail without spending an astronomical amount to enjoy one.

This downtown cocktail bar was tough for me to rate. I wanted to check this spot out forever and finally made it with some friends. I was really hoping to give it a higher star review based on the pictures and menu I previewed. Love the vibe and decor of the place. Five stars for the historic building turnaround and carving out a beautiful vintage feel cocktail bar. It's super nice inside and even before you get up. It's classy, but they didn't seem pretentious. It's still up and coming in terms of crowd, and they know it: offering a happy hour that ends at 11pm. You read that right. My bar tender was friendly when I could get words across (barely could) and the drinks look good as they came out. The place seemed well staffed. Now for the challenging part which are more related to taste preferences and ideally easy to fix if they felt it necessary. Of course they are my personal desires for the space, you might have a different opinion or enjoy what they are doing. The music tonight was far too loud. It was hard to have a conversation, from ordering a cocktail to talking with friends. One friend left with barely a voice. At times the music cut out all together and I found myself awkwardly yelling at a friend and then jokingly apologizing for it :/While they know the vibe of the city in terms of music, I felt they could have tried something a little more risky and differentiated to a more vintage cocktail bar and lounge feel. This, in my vision, would be so cool and not something you see too oft in Miami, which is sad because it's a city with actual history. This spot could have been a great place to showcase it. Alas, when we got there the music was too loud for the few patrons in the spot. There were far more staff in fun uniforms than guests. Though it did fill out as we were leaving. I felt happy hour pricing was ideal, outside of this I can't say the drinks can justify their pricing. Another hit or miss point: while the cocktails looked great, half my party didn't love the flavors of what they got. That's a miss for a cocktail bar like this. I give them points for having a decent mocktail selection. One friend felt shafted at the non happy hour $10 beer. I can't blame them. They also only had two beer options. In short, I felt their mismatched curated music and non exceptional cocktails or beer menu were a miss tonight. I don't love ultra loud music especially right off the bat and if I'm not feeling it in the space. While I do wish them tremendous success, I can't say I'd rush back or steer friends here outside of a very specific experience to showcase. I think they have an incredible space, but aren't taking advantage of its best and unique features. I love how they are activating downtown, but perhaps make it more vintage. Little Havana has you beat on the Latin music scene. Sobe on the club scene. Carve out something uniquely fresh fitting the rich history of this place! Jazz it up a bit. Lower the volume. Make this loungey with great tasting and priced drinks and a place for conversations and laughter. We desperately need a spot like this. Not everyplace needs high octane and loud music. Let your neighbors, who don't have the luxury of this beautiful space, milk that market. Give us something fresher!

Oh man, what a terrible experience. As a fellow bartender, this place is everything that's wrong with Miami bar culture. An overly gaudy and pretentious vibe from the decor to the staff interaction. Every interaction is made for you to feel very upscale and luxurious but just falls really flat when you're being treated like dirt and paying huge premiums for it.They blast the same generic reggaeton music that literally every place plays. You can't hear anything or anyone. The drinks are ridiculously priced and poorly made. My buddy who was visiting picked up the round when we got here, 50$ for an old fashioned and a whiskey ginger... and I had to wait for the bartender to stop dancing with her staff to finally make it... really? The only people who I think we're enjoying themselves here were the type of people who HAVE to spend a lot of money to feel like they actually enjoyed something, sorry but I don't need to validate myself like that.Take it from me, go across the street to tipsy flamingo, or around the corner to lost boy, better drinks and ambiance and you won't be charged an arm and a leg. This place just feels like a scam and I feel sorry for anyone that genuinely enjoys coming here. The place is called La Real, why did every piece of it feel so fake lol

My friends and I have been wanting to come to this bar for some time now. After being at an Art Basel event, we decided to walk over since we were in the area. At the entrance, they did not want to allow us in because of our wardrobe. We looked completely fine, we were not wearing sneakers or hats, etc. It is unfortunate that if you're not wearing a button up shirt and some slacks and outdated dress shoes you aren't considered "dressed up." After waiting for the manager they allowed us in. The bar is located on the top floor and is some what of a speakeasy. It is very nice and the concept is cool. The music was not good and the crowd was definitely not it . My friends and I ordered 3 Moscow mules which tasted terrible. The drinks came out to $70. We didn't even drink them and decided to leave. Even though the place is nice, I don't see myself going back.

Come down to earth! Me and my girlfriend were in the area and decided to check this bar out. We regretted that almost instantly. There is a $20 cover for men and women. After paying they give you 2 drink vouchers worth $10. Upon review of the menu we see that every drink is $20 or $25! What a scheme. I order an old fashioned for $20. It was close to the most mediocre old fashioned I've ever had. Watered down with commercial ice, no bitters, no syrup, just an orange peel, soda and a shot of bourbon. The setting is interesting but certainly not worthy of the price. Too many great bars in this city at much more reasonable prices to justify returning here. I don't mind paying $20 for exceptional quality, this was certainly not that. Didn't enjoy the pretentious atmosphere either.
