We really enjoy coming here! It's a great place for dinner with friends. Free parking which is great in west midtown. The portions are small so I'd say 4-6 plates for a couple is perfect. We got the patatas bravas are different than your normal kind. The sauce had some zing to it. My favorite plate we got was the egg bao. It was a breakfast dish but you can have it for dinner as well the eggs were so fluffy and creamy. I highly recommend ordering this when you go here.Service was great but the bartenders were a little slow- maybe a knew trainee.Overall good experience we will be back.

I was taken on a date here and let me say that I hope to return and receive a better experience first and foremost, but for now this place needs a little bit of help overall. I will start with pros first and then speak to where I know they can improve and really hit the mark. Ambiance + Decor: 10/10 The place is gorgeous. There is a large bar sitting in the middle of the action with gorgeous neon lighting throughout. Food Overall: 4/10* Garlic Sambal Shrimp: 4/10 (to start, the entire dish was extremely lukewarm, almost cold. The sauce was very one note. Not specifically salty, sweet, smoky, or anything honestly)* Tempura Mushroom w/ Miso Mayo 2/10: the potential is there but this was SO oily and there was one mushroom that was so large it just was overwhelmingly holding oil. I recommend draining these a bit better before serving. * Pork Belly Bun: 7/10 this was the best bite for the night but also very average. Drinks (can't remember names): 5/10 they were just okay. Now to the sore spot of my visit. The service is...well...almost nonexistent. We sat at the bar and it was not busy with 3 bartenders behind the bar. It took almost 30 minutes to get my drink and then when I watched the bartender start talking to someone, I called him over and had to remind him of our other drink we ordered at the same time. He was nice enough to comp the drink due to his forgetfulness but it just didn't make any sense. In all honestly, server seemed tipsy themselves and I think it affected the entire experience. I think with some more training and overall focus on details, this can be a super cool place to visit.

Food was great! Ambiance classy upscale.Service was not good. The server took our order. Someone came and requested to hold our card for the night... The server never came back and the bar was empty. No service.

Ok, this place was definitely an unexpected surprise. I was on a solo date spot hunt and found this dim sum gem hidden in the west side of Atlanta. Here are a few take aways:The ambience is nice, it's a little dark but they have mini lamps on your table for good lighting, pictures, the ability to see the person in front of you. It's perfect for those who like a dimmer setting. The food is in small portions so be prepared to order more items as an individual. I didn't receive anything I thought was shareable except for the patatas bravas. They were good. The staff was friendly and inviting. Now for the food, I ordered edamame, beef gyoza, and pork belly bao to start. The sauce on the bao was amazing. The beef gyoza did what it was supposed to do and the edamame with rock salt was an excellent touch. I ordered a off the menu mocktail. Oh! And did I tell you that they have a happy hour menu from 4pm-6pm? I came just in time for that! lol so my starters were on the happy hour menu. I ended my meal with the crying tiger steak and patatas bravas. Delicious. And if you like spicy, even better. I would just say a little less sauce would have been fine for me. They also add a gratuity fee to your bill so just be prepared for that.

I randomly ended up here one night but had been wanting to check this place out for a while now. This spot is actually much bigger than I expected, with a main bar and area downstairs and another smaller area with lounge type sectional seating and a bar upstairs. The downstairs area was quite empty when we arrived but I loved the décor of the entire place and the music was on point. Definitely good for a late night option with drinks and music that doesn't have all the "extraness" of a typical club. Parking was also easy, which is always a plus.

Came here with a couple friends for happy hour and a quick bite. Very cute place for either girls night or date. The seating was a little awkward, but we made it work. I didn't really care for the first drinking ordered but our waiter was so nice and attentive he got me another and I was happy. Food is tapas style for the most part and our selections which we shared was pretty good. If you're really hungry you may want to order several items or go elsewhere. Parking was free only because we arrived before 6. After a certain time it's valet only with a $10 charge.

The food was good, I ordered the Thai Basil fried rice, it was a huge bowl and pretty good ! The service was great and on point- my group orders like drinks and food came really fast! The ambiance was fun and puts you in a party mood with guest DJs ; this night it was celebrity producer Dallas Austin (TLC, Monica, Pebbles, etc). Expect to see celebrities I met Dallas Austin , who was very cool and down to earth !!

I came for drinks one night with a group and it was fine. I came back for dinner with a different group and yikes. They weren't busy. Service is extremely slow. We barely saw our waitress. Food and drinks took forever. If they weren't out of something. Two people in our party didn't even get their food. While the food that we did get was ok, waiting 2 hours for entrees is ridiculous. The manager did come by at the end and apologized, but the damage was already done. this area blossoming, they need to get it together if they want to survive. Can't say I'll be back.

A friend and I came here for a girls dinner because the idea of Asian small plates was fun and something different. The ambiance and atmosphere was very fun and new age with lots of cool lighting and decor. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was okay but nothing earth shattering. The prices are about average for small plates and decent for drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I would avoid the bao buns as mine (Chinese Sausage Bao) was very dry and lacking filling for one (1) $6 bun and while my friends bao (Mushroom) had filling, the hoisin flavor was so incredibly overpowering that she couldn't finish it (mind you, $6 for that thing!) We then went to pay and found the restaurant charges a "credit card fee" which was added on to our bill unless we paid in cash. Thinking this only applied to CREDIT cards, I paid with my debit card only to find that the fee was still charged. I think it's a bit ridiculous to require the customer to pay a card fee when it should be either the responsibility of the business OR a cost that is worked into the price of the food and drinks. This place was okay for the night, but the experience wasn't very memorable and we won't be returning.

Been meaning to try dim sum and I've heard and seen a lot of reviews about Bar Diver so I had to check it out. Came on a Friday night at 8pm and opted to sit at the bar since most of the other tables were occupied with reservations. I sat at the downstairs bar since the upstairs one was packed. The upstairs area has those cute little pink flowers you see on social media and the DJ is upstairs so it's definitely the more livelier area but all around the ambiance was great.I ordered my drink the Come on Barbie which was pretty decently priced. It was about $12 which to me is a good deal because some places charge $15+ for drinks. It was a sweet drink with more of a citrusy taste than a strawberry taste which was interesting since the ingredient listed strawberry puree. I'd order it again tho because it was right up my alley. So, when we finally ordered food, I kid you not it took us AGES to get our food. I wanna say borderline 30+ minutes which is INSANE considered we ordered small plates not anything super extensive. I ordered the Chinese sausage bao, shrimp shumai, and the rangoons. The rangoons and the shumai are a must order as they were super good. The Chinese sausage bao was decent but I think next time I'd just order more of the dim sum as opposed to one singular bao.Like I said, super lively place with good vibes so I did enjoy my time. Plus the drinks were good and strong so I know that means for a good time. I just hate how slow the kitchen was. By the time our food came we had forgotten what we ordered.I will be back though to see if maybe they were having just a slow day. Don't let my 3 star deter you though, I do think everyone should check this place out. Plus valet is only $5.
