We were able to pull this place up based on your Yelp reviews. I put in "seafood" for Little Havana, and this is what came up, although they had only a few seafood dishes.The hostess was unbothered. She took her time getting up off of her stool where she was fanning herself in order to haphazardly seat us. Thankfully, we had to go to the ladies' room, and when we returned, someone else was in our seat. Thus, we were able to be seated in a more welcoming space.Our happy efficient server made it better.Perfect guava daiquiri! Happy hour was buy one get one free!The tropical salad was delicious! The burger was good, but I expected more guava barbecue sauce to Cubanize it. The pork rice and beans dish was good as well, except the pork was a little dry.The live band began to play at 6:00, as did the DJ in the back. That was worth staying alone! They started doing fireworks at the bar, and other people started dancing.It was a great night. Worth returning.

Let me make this very clear. WE LOVE THE FOOD HERE!!! Always is a 10/10The drinks/mojito have been 6/10The only bad thing about this place is the customer service!! Horrible!!! Some of the girls have a nasty attitude too. Only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars. Come for the food but be aware of the customer service. Takes them forever to come to you when you enter the restaurant. They take forever to take our drink/food orders and even worse to bring our tab. I hate waiting as it is. But even to bring me a container for my leftover food they just seem to forget!!!! Have been here multiple times to know this is accurate. On a brighter note, I love the live music. Absolutely love it!!!! But yes I will be back but only for the food and music. Maybe. Hopefully they get their service together!!!

We stopped in during the middle of the day on our way to the airport, luggage in hand. It was blazing hot outside. July hot. The hostess said we couldn't sit at a table unless we ordered food. Fine. Whatever. Water. AC. Don't care, get me in there. Once we were sat it was great! Mojitos were delicious, complete with a sugar cane stick. So good! A band started playing Cuban music and it was so fun. We ordered churros and they were good too! I would love to go back to experience it at night. Looks like fun!

I am huge into dancing , and wanted to take everything I've learned in dance class, and apply it . I was searching for a place that felt like the movie dirty dancing, and I could dance some Salsa . This is the spot !!! I loved that people of all level were dancing salsa ! They have salsa Sunday . There was definitely a great crowd . I will definitely have to come back for the food .

Stopped in for lunch. Food was ok, lots of very greasy fried options. Service was good and management checked in on us. They had a band that played live music that was pretty cool. Ambiance reminds me of a salty Key West bar, minus the interesting characters. This place is full of tourists and a walking tour full of tourists stopped twice in front of the restaurant to talk about the history of Ball and Chain, which is quite interesting. I recommend going at least once, and once is definitely enough for me.

With suitcase in tow, I was a bit limited in exploring everything this spot had to offer. I visited midday, in broad daylight, and I'm sure the vibe transforms at night, but this decorated cavernesque hidey hole is certainly worth the trip at any time of day for the live music and spontaneous dancing alone! Here's the thing, maybe it's the Texan in me, but the price tag for this spot is wild. I had a mojito and the mahi mahi tacos and my price (with 18% recommended tip included and without adding additional tip) was $44 and some change. I came ready to try two to three drinks, but quickly changed my mind after seeing the price point. As I noticed many of the drink and eats are designed to share, I'll certainly go that route next time. I'll be back for the dark chocolate tres leches.

My friends and I dined in the Calle Ocho area this weekend for dinner and we always heard great things about Ball & Chain and wanted to stop in for a drink or two and to enjoy the music. The employee at the front door looked at me and said I couldn't be let in because I'm wearing shorts which I thought was a little odd. Then we scanned the crowd inside and noticed at least 10 other people in shorts at the bar. One of my friends questioned the employee in Spanish about it and he changed his story and said it wasn't because of the shorts it was because I'm wearing flip flops. It was like he changed his story on the spot and felt really weird and I personally felt targeted by the guy.There are no signs anywhere about dress code and nothing stated online on the restaurant/bar website other than age and ID requirements. It was around 9 pm and was still pretty quiet and not busy for Miami standards so the whole thing was pretty strange so we left and took our business elsewhere.
