Speakeasy the way they should be: not cheesy but nice with stellar cocktails. If you are lucky enough to get Greg, you will be well taken care of. Highlights:- GREG + dealers choice = Life changing! -- Hub told him what type of drinks he liked and they were polar opposite: more bitter type like an old fashioned/ sazerac or fruity tiki. Was expecting one or the other, but without hesitation Greg said he could give him it all in one drink. And delivered. An old fashioned with tropical fruit infused in somehow. The perfect child creation of his two favorite types of drinks. -- I asked for an old fashioned not so sweet that was more coffee chocolate nutty and it was one of the best I've had.. Walnut and pistachio plus ancho chile chocolate bitters. AMAZING! Made me so happy.- Speakeasy-ness: you need to look for bell to find and go down through unfinished basement like area and stunning reveal when you open the door to the bar.- Atmosphere: classy, loungey, and dark with semicircle booths - Menu: there is a menu where others chose their drinks and enjoyed them--some unique and some traditional.- Easy booking: text them on the number found on the website and got a quick replyLowlights:- Greg ruined me for life: I will be hard pressed to find a custom cocktail this good anywhere else. - Other bartender on staff I could tell wasn't as amazing since he insisted people choose their one type of drink and they were completely unhappy with what they got back. Catapulted up to one of my top cocktail spots I've been to (and there have been many).

Fun speakeasy bar with a secret door and hidden location. The drinks were great, classy atmosphere although I wish people would dress up more. Would be great if the staff had uniforms. Live music would be great as well. Some of the booths had a side chair next to them to fit people, not a fan of that.

The Boys & Girls Club, a fancy little speakeasy? Ok!Came here with friends while visiting Denver. $15 per person reservation on Tock. I believe resy is required, then you get assisned a time slot. They give explicit instructions the day of your visit. Located inside the Halocyn Hotel. It was challenging finding the entrance from the street. As it is truly hidden in plain sight on a dark alley, but we did it! We were escorted to the bar down an industrial looking hallway by a hostess. And arrived to a chic tiny bar. We were greeted soon after being seated. I think you get 2 hours for your Resy. Service - was great. I belive our server was Ryan. He was wonderful, jolly, and informative. Gave some solid recommendations. But our receipt says Audry, so maybe we had multi servers?Drinks - First drink I had the Torture Chamber. It was well balanced cocktail. Second drink I had the Corpse Reviver #2. It was delicious. Would order both again if I ever return. Based on the reviews, the food is fantastic. Sad I didn't eat here. Bring your purse, it's pricey. Drinks are good, worth a visit!

B&GC, Boys & Girls Club, is a glamor & glitz, clandestine cozy bar nestled in the back of the Halcyon Hotel in the affluent Cherry Creek neighborhood. Make sure to make reservations through Tock before arriving! The entrance is in the back of the Halcyon Hotel where you gain entry by pressing the same gold doorbell as featured on their website. A bit hidden as you'll be guided by the check in attendant in the back room (poor thing!) I highly recommend you ask to sit by the bar to chat with the bartender(s) for recommendation of drinks. I tried their Pandan Express which tastes like a spiked lemonade. I enjoyed their bacon wrapped dates and chocolate cake a lot! Overall the decor and ambiance brings you into an enthralling romantic mood. Highly recommend you check this place out for a date night!

I was visiting Denver for work and came with a friend on a week day. This is probably my favorite speakeasy to ever visit. It was hidden and tucked away where you had to search for the doorbell. We did not have a reservation and were turned away, but made a reservation for 30mins later and came back and were seated. The inside was pretty, and the menu boasted an awesome array of specialty mixed cocktails with many unique flavor combinations. I loved the darkest sour which had notes of sesame. We sat at the bar and one of the bartender/mixologists was very kind and talked with us some. My friend wanted a drink similar to a bloody mary (not on the menu) and they were eager to please by making a custom drink on the fly that she said was great. If you are visiting denver I highly recommend B&GC!

A great speakeasy with knowledgeable bartenders and balanced cocktails. Make reservations online. Entrance is via the alley in a door marked "private". You'll enter through what seems to be the back corridors of the Halcyon hotel. Stepping inside is a vibrant room that strikes just the right balance between intimate and bustling. The service was fantastic. They indulged me in custom cocktails based on elements that I like from various cocktails. I love Sfumato, and they were able to make a cocktail based on that. I liked it, but didn't love it, so the next cocktail they built on my feedback and made something outstanding. Don't sleep on the cocktails on the menu either, they were also great and unique. The Fajita Effect was one of my faves. We had dinner beforehand, so didn't partake much in the food menu, but it's a decent selection if you're hungry. Definitely work checking out if you're into speakeasies or cocktails.

Came here on a whim after seeing it nearby! Was fantastic but you have to text first and get a reservation. Full of history and charm. Will show felt drop back again for another drink. Got the prison system and the Mexican shoot out or something and both were really good. Overall a fun hidden speakeasy! Just be sure to text first and wait to make a reservation. And the place is hidden but if you wander down the alley there is a golden doorbell which helps locate the door.

We were taken to this speakeasy by someone in the know...fun figuring out where it was and entering into a magical space. The decor is a nod to art deco, very classic and dim moody lighting. The bartender was outstanding, put on an understated but incredible show. We ordered off the menu for our first round. Loved my artichoke Negroni and the Penicillin was a cut above a usual one. Wow! Second round we let the bartender choose based on our preferences and he did not disappoint. He was magical.

Definitely make reservations before going! Reservation link can be found via their IG (@bandgcdenver) or going here: https://www.exploretock.com/bandgcdenverMy husband made reservations two weeks prior for 2 at 8:15PM Thursday. We were ahead of schedule that day and showed up early. They were kind enough to provide us a new reservation time at 7:15PM. The building entrance is in the alleyway so just look for a sign that says "Stair 3" and a golden doorbell. The front staff gave us fun facts about the building as we made our way to the main bar; we were told it used to be a post office building. From their site, it seems this used to be the former Cherry Creek Post Office.Getting to the bar from the main entrance was somewhat convoluted but the staff told us to follow the painted black arrows on the wall to find our way out. The bar was already packed at 7:15PM with medium noise level. This would be a great spot for date night! :) They provided us a QR code to the online menu (https://bandgcdenver.com/menu/). We ordered the Sakura Sour $18 (Toki Japanese Whisky, Pecan Infused Plantation Rum, Italicus, Lemon, Purple Yam, Cherry, Jasmine, Fee Foam) and Say You'lI Be There $19 (High West Double Rye, Allspice, Gingercello, Honey, Absinthe). The latter tasted very similar to a whiskey sour but was not as bitter as I thought it'd be. Bar seating was nice because we got to watch the bartenders make the drinks. You could tell a lot of thought was put into the menu. Highly recommend :)

B&GC is my favorite speakeasy in Denver. From the sophisticated-with-a-hint-of-scandal decor, the attentive service, and the absolutely amazing drinks, I loved it all. What an experience! It all began with finding the place itself which was a fun seek. Got seated at the bar and the fun immediately began. I went with Dealer's Choice which is where you tell the bartender what alcohol and profile you like. My base was a Hendrick's Flora Adora, which if you like gin, I highly recommend this. Two bartenders created my drinks and I loved each of their creative interpretations. Their skills are top-notch. The food is also great. I'm a fan of their chocolate chip cookies. The place does get loud but it's lively. Highly recommend B&GC!
