Vickery's Bar & Grill - Glenwood Park

Vickery's is a great neighborhood restaurant that consistently serves delicious meals. I've been here quite a few times and I've always enjoyed myself whether I'm solo or with a guest. Some of my favorite items from the menu are the wings, calamari, bourbon shrimp and the trout. The drinks are really good as well.I've always received good customer service each time I've visited. Street parking is available and there's a small lot behind the restaurant.

My girls and I stopped by Vickery's for a Sunday evening dinner and it was everything we needed! There wasn't a large crowd, so it was perfect for conversation and we were able to interact with other patrons nearby.The weather was nice so we opted for outdoor seating. Our server, Alex, helped us select an appetizer that was tasty and would work with our dietary restrictions. If you like Fried Green Tomatoes, you must give theirs a try!We also had the salmon, fried chicken and Jamaican jerk chicken and loved every bite. The salmon was excellently medium! Kudos to the cook. Even if you're not in the area, Vickery's is worth the trip!

This place was cool. I liked the neighborhood and parking was free. We went in a Saturday night and we managed to be seated quickly and park easily (I found parking in the front). The service wasn't that good because the waitress hardly checked on us . My crab cake sandwich wasn't hot when it came out. We also didn't care for the fried green tomatoes. The batter was too thick.On the good side, although my crab cake wasn't as hot as I'd like it was good. It wasn't fried and it was more like a baked patty which is what I'd prefer. My side of macaroni was super good. They use about three cheeses and I'd get that again!!!My cousins ordered ribs, calamari, salmon , and fish sandwich. They all liked their food a lot. Especially the one that had the ribs. She said the ribs were 8/10. They fell right off the bone. I tried the calamari, it was also good!The prices were also reasonable. I'd definitely return!

Great spot for lunch meeting.. Good service.. No private parking so just have to find street parking which was good and easy.. Service was really good, pleasant and fast.. Food was great.. Catfish was blackened and had a lot of flavor and the grits was good with cheese and grilled peppers and veggies.. Cedar plank salmon was great with the yellow rice and it had some type of apple/ sweet flavor sauce on it.. Lunch time was crowded at all, plenty of space and good ambience..

Great neighborhood restaurant. Service very efficient. Warm inviting atmosphere. Enjoyed my crab cake sandwich. Option of sides was nice as had soup , which was chicken with cabbage. Great desserts.

I always like to support our local food restaurants but this might be the worst experience I've had in a while. I'm a plant based vegan and the menu clearly said there were vegan options. Well what a surprise. I ordered the black bean patty (burger) WORST EVER. Now for the service: the host acted like this was her first day on the floor taking orders. There was a few minutes between water and her actually coming back and she asked for if we needed anything and proceeded to walk away when one of the guests had to stop her and let her know we wanted appetizers. One person ordered a martini and 30 minutes later we had to call her over and repeat the order. We had two people to go order bottle waters and let's just say, one came and the other one didn't. He ended up with a glass of sprite that was ordered when he first sat down. Suggestion: don't attempt food without sampling it. It was like crushed black beans and a hard crust on the outside. The fish was breaded to heavy and the pasta was over cooked. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. I'm sure the bar is successful because the food is NOT!

We had a fantastic waitress the night we visited. Her name was Regan and this is why we gave Vickery's the good rating that they received. For starters Regan was awesome and very knowledgeable about what was served and what drinks we should order. She had a pleasant attitude and was very accommodating. The food was nothing to write a review about. It wasn't terrible but it was not a meal that I would be willing to drive 40 minutes for. I purchased the Vickery burger which sounded really good. It was cooked the way I requested but it was like a hamburger I could make if I was at home, I was a little disappointed only because I think I was expecting to be wowed and I wasn't.My husband had the ribs and they were good, They were falling off the bone which is good but his mashed potatoes tasted like a factory which was surprising. We did not eat the asparagus but they were large in size, kinda like a tree trunk lolThe drinks, we order was the strawberry Margarita . Let just say I wanted to send this back to the bar. I was under the impression that the Margarita would be sweet like a usual Margareta This was not the case. Regan offered to bring more sweetener but that to me did not do the trick. Our table spent over $200 for our meals and drinks and I felt like we could have spent that much elsewhere and would have had a better outcome.On the plus side the parking was great. We had 2 hours free in front of the restaurant so that was good. At the end of the day I have to say I will not be returning to this establishment,

We came to Vickery's on a Thursday evening. There isn't any designated parking, but there is street parking that can be tough but free. It definitely can get very packed.Vickery's indoor seating is really not that vibe-y and kinda drab. Outside is definitely the move for a nice evening dinner. Service was pretty average and you'll have to ask for water refills regularly. I ordered the Classic Cuban with fried okra and it was really just okay. Cuban itself was bland but after dipping it in the 'sauce' it would give some more flavor, but still lackluster. The sauce was more-so salty broth with seasonings. The fried okra was great! My friends got the steak sandwiches and one of them had a steak that didn't even cover 1/2 the amount of bread they got. They also said their food was just okay. Would I be back for drinks? Yep, but would skip the food.

This place is great. I've been twice and love it every time. Very comfortable vibes and the staff is so friendly. Shout out to Bo to always making everyone feel at home. The fried calamari was delicious. I genuinely loved every bit of it. I've also had the fried chicken dinner and that was so good as well. Make sure you're hungry if you're ordering that though because it is filling. Drinks are great too! A great place to stop by whether it's brunch or dinner.

I attempted to have lunch at this establishment today unfortunately that never happened. Waited 15 minutes and had three waitresses walked by me without a single acknowledgment. Finally, the host comes and takes my order, 35 minutes later and I still didn't have my food. This is so unacceptable for Vickey's very very disappointed And unfortunately, I will not go back there. Almost racist.
