The bar was at the very center and in a massive square form. I liked how the menu was super colorful with the type of beer and alcohol content labeled. There were also seltzer drinks too if you wanted to go lighter."

"A true hole in the wall with amazing Italian food!!! La Grotta is perfect for when you want to be fancy and get great comfort food. It's always pretty busy so flexibility with your reservation is key! We happened to luck into one a little earlier than I usually like to eat dinner, but it was super worth it. We shared the carpaccio as an app topped with truffle oil, arugula, and parm. The truffle oil worked so well with the meat and it was a great way to start off dinner.We then shared the sacchetti and the special scallops and risotto for dinner and both of them were amazing too. I liked the sacchetti a bit more as I'm not really the biggest fan of risotto, but I do love a lot of cheese! We ended the night with the tiramisu which was pretty good.Overall la Grotta is such a fun cute place for Italian food, and I'd love to come back!"

"Booked this place for a team morale event back in May and finally posting my review. Thank you for Breonna Thomas who planned and coordinated everything with me. Give her a raise.We reserved lanes and ordered food. The food was great, and everyone had a good time bowling. Place was cleaned, well stocked and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.We got their southwestern taco buffet was was $28.99/pp, some veggie pizzas at $21.99 each and chicken wings which were $118.99 for 60 wings. Soft drinks were added at no charge and were unlimited. Shoe rental was $6.74/pp. For 3 lanes to play for 3 hours, cost was $907.20.Reasonable, easy to book and would definitely work with them again."

"This is a 21 & up restaurant. It's located close to Chattahoochee Food Works, right next  door to Axe Throwing Atlanta. If you're coming on a weekend reservations are highly recommended, it's a small space. On this visit I only had cocktails in the Speakeasy. Your entire party has to be present. Tip: You must book the Speakeasy (The Midnight Room) under Experiences in Open Table if you want to visit the secret room. It is reservation only. You will have an hour and a half in The Midnight Room. FOOD IS NOT offered. There is no menu in the Speakeasy which also means you have no idea the price of your drink until you receive your check. The mixologist asks you what type of cocktail you're interested in then they create you a drink. Get creative and step out the box. It was pretty cool to see what he created for our table of 6, everyone's drink was very unique. I requested a bourbon spirit forward drink and said I like ginger, the mixologist made a Manhattan without the vermouth and added maraschino flavoring and cardamom. I enjoyed it! It was perfection and something I probably would never order. My Manhattan cocktail was $18 plus gratuity is added on to the bill, 20%.  Enjoyed the spot and would like to return to eat in the restaurant."

"We went around 2:30 on a Sunday. They have a really large space with tables spread very far apart. They also have a really cute outdoor area with seating 6 feet or more apart. In COVID times, the bartender was wearing a mask. They have one way in and one way out (even though we saw people blatantly ignoring that rule).We got the GOCA Benefit Blond Ale, Circles of the Sun, and Black is Beautiful Stout. All were very good!We liked that it was tucked away and wasn't on a main road. We really like this brewery and would definitely come back!"

They also have a good menu with options for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. I went for an afternoon of telework and decided to try the salmon po boy with fries. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, salmon seasoned wellAnd the sauce on the bread was a great addition. My fries were a bit soggy but when i let my server know she was very nice and quickly corrected the issue by getting me some fresh hot fries. I would have loved to sit outside and take in the beautiful views of the city however it was a bit breezy on the day of my visit so i opted for indoor seating at one of the table ls that had plenty of space and outlets."

I think Velvet taco is right across the hall. We sat at the bar which looks long but the seats are spaced so well that it has limited seating. I like the space. The drinks here are delicious. We tried the expresso martini, henessey island, and Georgia Peach on Peachtree. My favorite was Georgia Peach followed by Henessey island. I love drinks that are balanced with taste and spirits. The bathrooms are extremely clean and they have full stalls with the doors going from the floor to the ceiling. You have to register for the games at a kiosk. It costs about $19 for 9 holes. The games are extremely fun. Your golf ball has a chip in it. The system keeps up with strokes and points. There are bonus points at each level.I will return."

"Had a nice dinner last night. First time there. We were seated near the open kitchen. Was fun to see the different dishes coming out. Got the tuna tartar and it was very yummy. Three of the pieces of tuna were really tough and I'm not sure why. I've never had tough to eat tuna in a tartar before. I got the steak. Was good but needed salt. The sauce it came with was very good. I asked our server for some sea salt. I should have taken a photo of the tiny amount she brought me in a small dish. I laughed thinking it was a joke! Also my potatoes were definitely from a box. They really had no flavor and I was disappointed in the texture and taste coming from this type of establishment. My guy liked his scallop entree and the burrata and strawberry salad was really tasty!Valet parking outside only $4. Very nice!"

The only type of food they are missing is a dessert restaurant/bakery.Specifically, I ate at Pretty Little Taco. 3 stars for PLT.The good: the food.The bad: the service.The ugly: the cook picking his teeth with a fork in the cook area and then rinsing his mouth out with water in the sink for all patrons to see.The young lady that took my order seemed more interested in being on her phone than taking the time to explain to me some of the menu items.Luckily, the cauliflower tacos were amazing and the peach cobbler empanadas were really good. The guacamole was okay but extremely over-priced, $6 for a sample size container. The chips, which were an additional $2, were stale but seasoned well.Not sure if I'd eat at Pretty Little Taco again even though the food was great, because of the disturbing service and behavior of the cook.However, I would absolutely visit Politan Row again."

Anyway, they were still cute with Valentine's entrees (a pasta special, chateaubriand for 2, and maybe 1-2 others) My husband had the doctor is in & the Macs old fashioned (makers mark) & he really liked both. The second came in a smoked glass and had a cool presentation. He was definitely tipsy by the end of the meal so I'm pretty sure they were both strong drinks not too bad... Around $13-15 ish each I had a mint lemonade spritzer ($4) and it was great! Would def order that again but their cocktails also looked delicious. They also have mocktails (mactails) but they didn't pique my interest This trip we got the chateaubriand, lobster Mac and banana cream pie We accepted the bread and I'm not sure if it was complimentary but if was delicious with honey and butter & a super soft yeast roll each!We ordered the chateaubriand medium but its a thick cut so definitely came out more medium rare/rare and they did cook it more for us because I'm pregnant so I only ended up eating the most cooked pieces they gave and my husband ate the more med rare side. It was delicious though and the bone marrow compound butter ($9) so worth it! The sauce it came with too was also amazing. I was dipping everything in it like the fried lobster, the potatoes, parsnips, everything The lobster Mac was SO good with a great cheese pull and tons of fried & baked lobster. Would 100% order this again The complimentary aligot potatoes were ok. Nothing exciting but they're complimentary so ‍ no cheese pull lol We were torn on dessert because they all sounded good so I looked up pics on yelp & the banana cream pie sold us. First of all, It was huge. Could split between 3-4 people post meal. It's like a whole small pie and it was so creamy, so flavorful yet not too sweet. Bruleed bananas on top, a banana mousse that could've been ice cream, flaky crust, meringue... A must try. Honestly I'm excited just thinking about eating the leftovers of this one. We didn't finish any of our food because it was a ton for 2 people Whole bill came out to $230 pre tip They do have a wheelchair lift but she said you had to walk a stair or two after it so not really handicap accessible. They're attached to the raw bar portion though so might be able to sit there if handicapped because the chophouse downstairs only has booths. Parking is not a breeze in the square if you don't want to pay but there are a ton of garages/lots in the area & street parking is always full."

Back in Atlanta many year later - the 4th Ward has surprised me.The industrial backdrop venue provides a dim lighted & warm ambience with exposed brick, vintage lighting & wine barrels throughout. The lounge space boasts a stage, various table/seating options, an elevated bar encompassing a very lively & social atmosphere. The friendly service team moved at a good pace & in a synchronous fashion. Even amongst the tight spaces between tables. There's little room once you're seated & you have to turn your body/neck to see the performances. I understand maximizing ticket sales, yet stage the tables for the patrons to be comfortable while enjoying their meal & live performances. Suggestive budget around $120 per person for live music, food (limited for Vegetarians/Vegans) with a nuances of wines, beers/ciders, crafted cocktails & mocktails.Easy navigation on the website to view events & purchase tickets. Ticket prices varies with fees are around $14. Ponce City has abundant fee parking (app & kiosk payments), mostly in the parking decks. Valet parking is available right in front of the venue. Follow the signs (Security provided directions when we visited) to go upstairs for check-in/will call & you'll be guided to the venue."

"I stopped in to Mary Mac's on the recommendation of a friend and it did not disappoint! It is honestly just a simple restaurant with delicious home cooked southern food. As I was by myself, I hopped in a seat at the bar and was provided with a drink immediately. I was then able to quickly order a chicken n dumplings meal with bread, sweet potatoes, and broccoli casserole. Even with a sweet tea added in, my final bill was barely $20.00! Let's just say that I tipped generously on the bill, as I also received top notch service. This meal was exactly what I needed as I had a long drive home ahead of me. And I was incredibly grateful to not have to overspend on my last dinner in Atlanta."

Its located downtown on some busy streets so I expected maybe a work lunch type spot.We walked in and immediately looked silly. We had made reservations for their other location. They weren't too busy yet so we were still able to get a nice table. I was impressed right away by the décor. Their was a style that was classy. The touches like the multi colored steel tree were one of a kind. The lighting was especially unique. I started with a nice beverage called the Egress. Strawberry. We ordered and got rather quickly our appetizer, Sushi tots. It sounds like a gimmick but actually was really great. We then got chicken and waffles, and I got the shrimp and grits. Both were classically good.It started with a low bar, but 5Church jumped way over it."

We had a table, but didn't sit down much because we were playing games. There's lots of interactive games to play including bowling (for an additional cost). We ordered drinks from the bar because they only allow one credit card per table. The drinks were strong. I would avoid the drink tree that has samples of their signature drinks. They were tiny and weak.We didn't interact with the server much, but the bartenders were friendly and helpful. Parking is free in the deck for 2 hours and you will be charged 20% gratuity for anything purchased at the establishment."

"i cant believe ive never been here before. we got a rec for this place for our work dinner and so glad we made the drive over. its got a huge interior and outdoor seating. we were a large party so they had us in one of the private rooms which was nice. the cocktails are really creative and yummy. i got the rosebud which came with a giant ice cube that had SB on it. for starters we got the fried green tomatoes & wood grilled cauliflower. for mains we tried almost the whole menu. i got the meat & two (pulled pork w bbq sauce, coleslaw, & seasoned fries). the bbq sauce was literally amazing. along with the coleslaw and fries. i liked everything i tried! need to try their desserts next time for sure."

The food was great. Service was extremely slow. The waitress was patient and answered all of our menu questions. But it wasn't crowded and our drinks took probably 20 minutes to get to the table. Though the drinks did not disappoint. But from the drinks to the appetizers to the entree... very delayed. I would give it another shot because the food was delicious. I had strip steak and the jalapeño cornbread. The Mac n cheese was just ok. But that cornbread was memorable for sure in a great way."
