The Oink Joint Newnan

This place has great food. I came to town on Sunday but they were closed. Went back Tuesday (followed the smell for blocks) and got some really tasty bbq. They had a pretty nice special: pork sandwich combo for $7.00. If you want ribs, come on Friday or Saturday.

My wife and I went to Oink Joint last night and ordered two individual meals....Pulled Pork Nachos and one Brisket Taco. After ordering, we came to find out that nearly the entire restaurant - which was pretty full - had been waiting an extended period of time. We placed our order at 7:25 which got delivered to our table at 8:30. There were people who had pre-ordered for 7:00 pick-up who didn't get their ordered until 8:15 or later. The dining room was a mess the entire time. To add icing to the top of that crappy cake, there was grease tailed across the street on the way to our car, and my wife slipped and fell. If you're the owner, you'd better start paying attention. This is crossed off our list for a good while. Unacceptable, even though we tolerated the terrible service for marginal food last night.

I had a friend visiting me from Pennsylvania and we went to this place. I had never been there either, so I wasn't familiar with any other bbq places in the area and bbq was what we wanted to eat.We walked in, placed our order and had a seat. We were greeted courteously at the counter. As we seated ourselves, I didn't notice anything particularly outrageous. The environment was relatively clean and the staff was friendly. The food was just ok in my opinion.

Hole in the wall destination BBQ. Food and sauce selection was very good. Brisket was a little dry but good flavor. order at the counter service and they bring to your table. I would definitely go back again

The meat was very tender but not much flavor, potato salad was good too. Wondering how old this Mac n cheese is? You literally can't see the noodles and its form is shaped to the container and it was not smooth or creamy, literally chunky. Also, we ordered online and with the grilled cheese sandwich it let us order a drink for a $1, but when I got in they said they I had to pay the difference. But like why? Not my fault your website is messed up

The people are very nice and it has a great atmosphere. I just was not a fan of their sausage or their macaroni and cheese. The sausage was very dry. My husband had a chicken sandwich and thought it was good. It was just okay for me.

As a KCBS master judge and grand champion winner of many bbq contests I love to stop at new bbq places and check them out. Wish I kept driving passed this one. Got the pork plate and the pork was so mushy just put it on the roof of your mouth and it desolves with NO taste whatsoever. The sides I had were baked beans and Brunswick Stew. Although better then the actual bbq and was just ok. Almost 17.00 I expect a whole lot more out of it then I got. It is a order/pay up front then sit down and wait. Ambiance was ok, it was somewhat crowded but I think most people are here from out of town like myself as Newnan is a small tourist type town and being Halloween as well. But if your coming to Newnan GA please don't stop here and go to a quality place.

From outside great smell. Inside a little disappointing. Both ordered a lunch brisket sandwich. Opinion, so-so. Brisket, even adding sauce was dry and a little tough. Expect brisket to be much more moist. One of us ordered a side of tater tots. Nice sized portion,but that is probably because they had overcooked a batch and the were just sitting. Had to get rid of them. End result, arrived cold. Service at register was very good. Dining room appearance needed a lot of work. Tables were dirty as well as the floors. Drink station needed attention. Didn't seem for lack of staff. Since at least one of them just seemed to be standing around. Like barbecue so will probably give the another chance. Hope for better next time.

The stew was the only edible item I had. Ribs were dry, over cooked and the seasoning was mostly salty. The baked beans were the worst I ever had. The service was horrible. I ordered to go and it took 30 minutes to get my stew and rib plate. The front of the restaurant was run by Kids that need a lot more training. The food was not worth a 2nd trip ever.
