"Writing this review has left me feeling a bit conflicted. On one hand, I absolutely adored the ambiance and the service at this place. The food was served promptly, which was a plus. However, when it came to the dishes themselves, I wasn't entirely satisfied. The vada pav, to my delight, surpassed my expectations and left me wanting more. However, other items fell short of the mark. The pav bhaji lacked the traditional flavor I was hoping for, and the rajma-paratha was not good. On the bright side, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. This dilemma leaves me unsure about the rating to give, as I would lean towards a 3.5, but alas, that option is unavailable. In the end, I'll settle for a 4-star rating. If you decide to give this place a try, I highly recommend going for the vada pav and sandwiches, as they are truly exceptional."

"I've only ever got take out from here so cannot speak to the restaurant ambience. The delivery is always quite quick for Indian food though, I love that!!THE AVAKAI CHICKEN DUM BIRYANI OH MY GOD. Such authentic South Indian flavors. I am so particular about Indian food but this avakai tasted exactly like the one we eat at home. The taste is SO worth the price. I just wanna eat this biryani for every meal now and cannot stop thinking about it. It was spicy in the best way and every bite packed so much flavor. If you're craving biryani, pls look no further. This biryani is so ridiculously delicious. My only note would be, the chicken is boned so you don't get too much food for the money you pay but trust me the taste is worth it. (I've heard that the Vijaywada boneless biryani is not as good, so If you're eating here maybe skip that and get the avakai dum biryani!)"

"This place is totally ! I didn't know what to expect when I heard the name of the restaurant "Naanstop" because it was a play on the Indian bread "naan" but it didn't disappoint.I've been to cultural food spots like this that plays on fast food (think Mexican Chipotle or Korean Bibibop or Chinese Panda Express) but this place hands down keeps it authentic. The naan was suppurb and the choices of meats hit the spot. They were voted top samosa(think Indian egg roll with chick peas) of Atlanta. You start off choosing the type of entree you desire (bowl, naanwich, or salad). You then choose your meats (chicken Tikka masala, turkey kabob, lamb, chola(chickpea), Gobi(cauliflower) or Punjabi dal(lentil). On to the toppings like grilled onions and peppers, corn salad, cabbage slaw or spinach. Laslty you finish it off with chutney sauces which are either cool, sweet, medium or hot.They also had a great choice of beverages like mango lasi, chai tea as well as india's favorite soda, Thums up!Definitely would hit this spot up again when I return to Atlanta!"

"This is my second visit to Blue India. My first was for a Yelp event. If you're looking for a Pan- Indian fare and cocktails with an upscale dining experience, then this would be it. The ambiance is very chill and cozy, and the staff is always helpful, friendly, and accommodating. It is located in the Metropolis residential lobby with a few other restaurants. The food is very flavorful. My favorite dish is the Chicken Tikka Masala, but I decided to switch it up for the Chicken Sixty-five and the salmon bites with a side of garlic Naan. The only downside to the Chicken Sixty-five is that the dish can't be altered in spice level. I like my Indian food very spicy, and this dish is just tossed in a mild chili sauce. I would definitely circle back and get it again regardless. Blue India also validates your parking for two hours, so be sure to bring your ticket with you."

There's a TV one on of the walls displaying the specials for the day as well as additional items (e.g., desserts).I also liked that the menu was reasonably straightforward in its layout, separating the vegan/vegetarian items from the other entrées. For lunch, it comes with a mulligatawny soup and choice of potential upgrade for certain appetizers/breads.The mixed vegetable dish was simple but tasty and filled me up much more than expected. "Planet Bombay is a great place to get Indian food at a reasonable price! I'm particularly fond of their Malai curry, which is coconut-milk based. Their vegetable samosas are also excellent. There is also a small eating area in the front with cover. I came in an ordered a bowl with brown rice, chicken tiki masala, paneer tiki masala, and kaboob. I added grilled peppers, onions, spinach and the hot seasoning. The flavor was not as impactful as I thought. The hot seasoning was hot but they gave me a small amount. Bowl was pretty small as well. There is street parking and also a lot off of Pierce Drive.Here's what we got:- Veggie Samosas ($6 for 2): Very good! Indeed, with a variety of tofu-based options in addition to some of the more usual dishes from the Indian subcontinent, there was an abundance of choices.My takeout took a little longer than I expected, but clearly some work went into it, with deliciously prepared dishes well packaged to avoid any sort of spillage. My soup was garnished with fried onions and was robustly flavor, my tofu deliciously fried, and the noodles on the side were of ramen-like quality with some distinctive spices. Ordering an extra rice dish was unnecessary, but I'll find a use for it. They had an okra and lentil combination which I've not seen before, but it was as spicy as I asked for and quite filling and delicious.Everyone else was getting takeout as well, but they had a small but reasonably nice dining room and a larger banquet room next door."

Of their numerous dosas, I ordered the house special, and it was indeed a special filling with delightful black chickpeas, mung bean sprouts, fried noodles, and all manner of flavors. And that's before you start adding in the chutneys and sambar. These things are an embarrassment of riches when done right. So much flavor."

"When I was out looking for a drink after dinner, I came across Gokul Sweets and really didn't know it existed. I mean, there's ANOTHER Gokul Sweets location not even a mile away in the Patel Plaza. This location is closer to Cherians.I came on a Thursday evening right before they closed, and man, the colors! There's just so many snacks that range from the hot pink to the bright yellow, and they all catch your eye. My drinks plan went out the window and I decided to start selecting sweets from their displays. Tonight I got:Badam Tarbooz x 1 ($9.99/lb)Pista Barfi x 1 ($7.99/lb)Coconut Barfi x 1 ($7.99/lb)Kaju Pista Katri x 1 ($9.99/lb)Dry fruit milk shake x 1 ($5.50)Running down the list of desserts, the Badam Tarbooz was delicious! It looked like a small little slice of watermelon, and guess what? It TASTES like a little slice of watermelon. I laughed when I bit into it, shared some with my mom and sister, and they both laughed too. It's not at all what you expect, but it's dang good!The Pista (Green color) and Coconut (yellow color) Barfi squares are both very rich, and flavor of both are also really good. The pista is pistachio and the Coconut is, well, coconut. Both have sliced almonds covering them. I think I preferred the coconut one more of these two.The Kaju pista katri is also a pistachio flavored snack that is almost a tiny diamond shaped sandwich. You can peel these apart and eat each individual layer. I think the pistachio flavor here wasn't as pronounced but it also wasn't bad. Still, this was my least favorite snack.The Dry Fruit milk shake was surprisingly really good. Very slightly sweet, and filled with finely chopped nuts including cashew, pistachio and almond as well as spices that made me smile. If you like a sugary sweet drink, this may not be for you, but luckily they have several drinks to choose from.In addition to all the sweets i'm talking about, don't sleep on their actual meals. Gokul sweets throws down with all sorts of traditional indian and not so traditional dishes. I tried none of them this visit, but due tho their tues-thurs specials they mentioned to me, i'll be back to try them.Located off of Dekalb industrial way, right across the street from Waffle house, just before you reach Scott Blvd., it's a small little parking lot but you should be able to find a spot. Getting in and out aren't too bad either.I don't have anything bad to say about Gokul Sweets. I'm just sad that I didn't find it earlier"

We were asked if we wanted to order. So we placed our order. Wife got buttered chicken and buttered naan. I ordered the weekend special chicken biryani. I was so excited because I love biryani. The food came and the portions are extremely generous. I will give that a five star. I was ready to dive in and was told it was spicy. No problem. I dug in and the first bite was so salty. I thought I maybe had the one spot. Kept eating and it got saltier. I could not eat it at all. I eat everything and left almost all of it. The waitress never checked on us and didn't ask me anything about the food. We paid and left. I wanted to like it so bad because everything else was awesome."

An outpost of the better known Chai Pani restaurant in Decatur, Botiwilla aims to bring a small, but carefully crafted menu of Indian street delicacies to this industrial space.The wraps in naan are generally the go to item. Always constructed well, without skimping on ingredients, they are a decadent street food that's sure to satisfy. Where things could be better is that the chicken tends to be overlooked and slightly tough. The same can be said about the lamb, which is usually on the tougher side. The rest of the preparation is great, with fresh ingredients that are sure to satisfy. Botiwilla does not have draft beers, but Taj is available in big bottles. The establishment is always clean and staff are friendly. Thus, can't go wrong here. If only the protein preparations got a bit better, Botiwalla has the potential to be a landmark in the city."

"I truly didn't have Biryani Point on my radar when I was cruising around Clarkston looking for a snack. I literally drove past it, saw it, and immediately turned into the busy strip lot. What I couldn't believe is that there was actually no review or page for Biryani on yelp! With expectations in check, I walked on in with fingers crossed!So interior wise, this place is very spacious, and if you google it, you'll see several parties have been held here. There's a small handful of arcade cabinets to the left, and a series of flat screen televisions hanging from the ceiling. You really have no problems with a large group!After checking the menu, I ordered the following:Chicken 65 ($10.99)Veggie samosas ($3.99)When I initially saw the price, there was a bit of sticker shock. 16 bucks for basically two appetizers was a whoa moment. When I got my food however and looked at the amount of food, I quickly realized that not only was the price fair, but it was a bit of a bargain!, The Chicken 65 was a large mound of bright red chunks of fried chicken goodness. It smelled of peppers and the individual pieces are marinated in ginger, garlic and spices. They do provide a slow burn in terms of spice, but nothing crazy. These were crispy and ridiculously tender, and the flavor of these were spot on for me. I'd happily order these again!The Veggie samosas came in 3 big pieces, that were crispy and the filling of these were peas and potato. These also had a slow burn to them, but less so than the Chicken 65. The flavor of these were not bad, but here's the thing....they were pretty greasy. I had to wrap it in paper towels to remove some of the grease. Located just steps away from the popular Refuge Coffee, Biryani Point is sort of a hidden in plain site restaurant, especially if you're not looking for it. There's two entry points for this lot, and I didn't have any problems getting out of the lot onto Market.Biryani Point is a fantastic little indian/nepalese location that serves up solid, authentic flavors that I think you may like. Give them a shot, will ya?"

The guy behind the counter was friendly and engaging. The food is then brought out to your table after you order. I got a gyro and fries and enjoyed them. The prices on the website are not consistent with what we were charged. They need to update their prices.The service was great. Not as tasty as we've had at other restaurants. Disappointed.- Tandoori Naan ($2.99 on website, but charged us $3.49): Fine.- Chicken Tikka Biryani ($13.99 on website, but charged us $15.95): Pretty dry. The small container with the yogurt sauce was not enough for the whole dish. Would not get again. We went with an order of gobi Manchurian and chili paneer, both of which were delicious and oh-so-spicy (buyer beware). We rounded out our order with tasty paneer tikka, dal tadka, a nice light raita to cool things down, and a couple of perfect tandoori naan. On top of it being delicious, it was a great value and lasted for days. A new favorite for Indian takeout."

I was with my family and we were the only people dining it at the time for a late lunch. There were a few people that came in but I think they were just ordering take out. We ordered main dishes: chicken tikka masala, mutton biriyani, chicken 65, and palak dal. We also ordered beef, chicken, and veggie samosas and gulab jamun. Positives/favorite dishes: mutton biriyani, chicken 65, and palak dal, veggie samosa. Spice level was great, it really sneaks up on you! Portion sizes for each dish are large enough to feed a family of four! Least favorite: beef and chicken samosa- both samosas did not have much flavor and wasn't our favorite.Chicken tikka masala- we didn't like this dish as much as the others was because it wasn't creamy enough and it did not come with plain rice. I also did not like the fact that some dishes did not come with rice... we did order garlic naan and that was very good but I believe that all dishes (that aren't rice/noodle dishes) should come with plain rice. Overall, i had a great experience and i would definitely come back to try other items on the menu!"

Numerous signs stated to take the elevator up to this restaurant, but it was down so one had to walk up some stairs. It was open on a holiday, but unsurprisingly busy. I got takeout, but there were chairs and tables unused on the balcony outdoors.They promoted their chole bhatura as being a signature item, and they did a great job with it. Even in takeout, an extra contained with pickled onions, a bit of chili pepper, and a lemon to squeeze were included. The chickpeas themselves were warmly spiced and bursting with flavor, and although I didn't get a really giant bread, two breads of reasonable size made for a large portion overall. I added a veg manchow soup, which came with separate crunchy noodles. It was salty and delivered a flavor fix that allowed me to skip the nearby Indo-Chinese place.They did forget my soup, but I wasn't too concerned about it as they rectified this quickly and it was a busy day for them. I wasn't sold on them being the best of many restaurants nearby, but I'd certainly like to come back."

"This place is in a slightly separate area from the famous Patel Plaza conglomeration of restaurants; it's kind of hard to get into due to construction on the road, so I actually parked at the plaza and walked over.It seems like everyone that posted pictures of this place got the chana bhatura. And when I walked in, the place was crowded despite the off hour, and there were a lot of chana bhatura tables. Indeed, one couple just got two orders of this. So I'm not being overly creative by saying I ordered the chana bhatura. But it is every bit as good as it looked. The freshly puffed bread and the complex and slightly spicy chickpeas would be a meal by themselves, but this place really does it right with accompaniments. I got a fried chili pepper and a fresh one on the side with some pickled vegetables that add a wonderful contrast of flavors and textures. One of the best renditions of this dish I've ever had, and I've had, and I've had lots. Ordering a chai wasn't a bad decision either; it came with some little cookies for dipping and while there was sugar on the side, it was flavorful enough without.This place was bustling despite ample competition. The rest of the menu looks full of delicious vegetarian specials. The name on the door speaks of sweets, but if I'm being honest, I've never really gotten into Indian desserts despite having tried several. But come for the savories for sure."

"New place, or so we assumed by the "now open" signage. (We're from out of town.) The cafeteria style, fast causal setting was easy to follow. The staff was nice and service was fast. I chose the largest rice bowl. You get to choose a base (two types of rice or greens), a protein (curries) and then topping like shredded veggies, fried goodies like samosas or potato cakes, and sauces. You could also choose some flat breads on the side. Portions are fair, spices are there, and overall, a very versatile meal. Veg friendly, vegan friendly, could make it super 'unhealthy' with lots of fried add ons, or go fresh with raw veggies on top! My dining partners were pleased as well. We ate outside on the patio which was pleasant. Not a stellar meal but overall worth a try! Go check it out!"

"I'm not sure I should be giving 5 stars given my digestive issues that night but my weak stomach isn't yours. Service and food were excellent and the restaurant, while not unique or very pretty, is classy and pleasant for dinner. Came here for our anniversary. We started off with their Brussels sprouts appetizer and I got their spiced old fashioned. The app was similar to a tuna tartare in the way it was served. Very unique for Brussels and tasted delicious. The old fashioned was superb. Loved it. For my entree, I went with their specialty that was made with chicken. Let me start with that it was delicious. I loved this. Spicy and full of flavor. I would absolutely eat this again IF I could turn back the clock and be in my 30s. Unfortunately, my 40s have brought with it a digestive system that simply can't handle what younger me could handle. And here, they don't ask you for your spice level. They make it the way it's supposed to be made, which is Indian spicy. Don't get me wrong-I loved it and actually brought home the leftover sauce. But it was difficult on my system. I would love to come back and just try a standard tikka masala or butter chicken. Something that I know won't rip a hole in my intestines. Old age sucks. But Tabla is superb."
