Jessica M. "I was PLEASANTLY surprised with the food here! The vibe is def day party brunch. The music is hip hop and R&B.We sat off to the side at a table. There were groups celebrating birthdays. Our servicer was super sweet and brought our food out quickly. It did take a while for the drinks and the hookah my friends ordered never came.I ordered the red waffle and chicken. It was delicious. Chicken was flavorful and cooked well. Waffle had a tasty glaze. I also ordered the Gouda grits and braised collared greens. The greens were great! A little sweeter than im used to but still cooked well. The grits were good but needed extra cheese."

Megan Y. "I came here for my friend's birthday brunch this past Saturday afternoon. I came early about 20 minutes due to a miscommunication, but the staff took care of me during this period and gave me a free water.Parking is at an adjacent apartment/retail garage or at the intersection of Huff Road/Ellsworth Industrial Blvd for parallel parking. We had a party of 9, some of us showing up at different times. Our server Taylor did such a great job at attending to our table, with drink refills and food orders. Later I paid using Apple Pay and she was also helpful.I ordered a sweet tea as my drink, and it was delicious. It sounds like you have to pay for refills, so I didn't get one.For food, we shared the bread basket and I got the Shrimp & Crab Cake Benedict, Mac and Cheese as a side (of course), and the Peach Cobbler for dessert. Everything was so good. The portions are big, so just note that. I was worried the bread basket wouldn't be enough for 9, but I think we all got to try a little bit of each bread type. The dip they provided was very yummy. Overall, everyone at the table enjoyed their food, so I might consider returning to try more menu items - especially the fried green tomatoes."

Imagine that your granny and her friends opened a soul food joint and then made it sort of trendy with a bar and soft soul music on the radio. The plat I ordered was the fish dinner with a side of grits and collards. I am a collard cooking fool and these measures up. Really good flavor with a tiny hint of sweetness. The fish is cornmeal breaded, just like the ones we have in South Georgia. My server Rann helped me choose this. He is the best, he suggested the grits as a side. The grits btw were perfect creamy corn grits. Not hard or watery, they were perfect. Finally, the corn muffin was great. It was a cross between sweet and plain meal."

Betsy M. "On a recent trip to ATL, with my Canadian colleague, I insisted she try some good southern cooking and soul food. After perusing a variety of restaurants we landed here on a Tuesday late afternoon. It was not that busy, lots of staff standing around. Not sure if this is a newer restaurant in terms of location (I know the backstory and it has been around for decades) and that is why things felt disjointed. Our server took about 10 minutes to even come to our table. We ordered some basic (non bar) drinks. Water and a ginger ale. I was disappointed that the entire time we were there the staff never came to refill the waters as I chug through at least 2-3 glasses when dining. The food was GOOD. I ordered the fried chicken platter, my sides being brussels and mashed potatoes. I will say that the brussels were DELISH, and the Fried Chicken was excellent. Moist and juicy with just the right amount of 'fry' to it. Seemed to be the same coating/batter they use for the fried green tomatoes. Saved some room for the famous peach cobbler which was good, but did not knock my socks off or anything. I loved watching the robots deliver the food to the tables. Very cool, and nice that servers are not having to run back and forth however it seemed like they did not utilize that time to ensure their tables had refilled water or my colleague wanted another ginger ale but never got the opportunity to order one. Food was good - service was good balanced between things that went well and opportunities."

The oxtails were too salty for my taste, but were quite tender and yummy nonetheless . And the yellow rice was slightly hard. But the Mac n cheese and collard greens were so delicious, maybe the best I've ever had. I wish I could have tried all the main proteins! They had so many to choose from, from smothered pork chops to fried chicken to fried fish. I recommend this place!"

Expect to get patted down at the door by security. They only have like 10 tables (2 top) and the other half of the spot are pretty much booths. I didn't try the food, only the drinks, but looking around, nobody was ordering food anyway! It was only drinks and hookahs all around. But the menu actually looked good though, I will have to give it a chance, but on this occasion, it was libations! The vibe was a hood vibe (which was fine), service was okay, not the best as far as being attentive, but it was okay (had to track my waitress down to pay). But I would give it another shot. It is what you would expect in this type of establishment."

I order the "ready" items but seems like the "to order" items did not take long as well.SERVICE:: there was a very nice man taking our order by the front of the line, super nice staff, cashier was super nice too. just be sure to check your bag prior to leaving so you can make sure you get all your items because they are so busy in thereFOOD::Ox Tail - massive portion, over a bed of rice, which they didnt mention on the menu! flavor was so rich and decedant. We called ahead to make sure they had brisket and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes but when we got there they said another hour maybe. This place needs to run more efficiently as a business. The Food needs to be cooked and ready to serve customers. They are going to miss out on a lot of business due to this problem. We ended up getting Turkey ribs with green beans. Here is my review! The gps will bring you directly to the small plaza so slow down so you don't have to come to a hard stop to turn! There is Also plenty of free parking in this small parking lot so no worries on parking fees! The line for food is similar to that of a lunch line. All the "cooks"/staff are friendly but definitely gives the lunch line check out ambience. There are a few seats for you to sit in the back but for the most part it's ran like a in and out type of establishment. The meal is set the same daily as I've been 3 times and no difference in menu was present. Also, the drink does not come with the meal but you can purchase it and deserts separately. Now the food- quality was not to my liking. Green beans tasted canned, the chicken was good. The homemade gravy and stuffing was nasty to me. Kinda disappointing if you had your mouth set on authentic southern soul food. This is truly my opinion. Maybe your tastebuds will be open to the flavors but for me it was giving bland! Well per the menu, I saw things from fried fish to fried chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, Black-eyed peas turkey necks and I think oxtails. I tried fried fish where I had the option of catfish whiting and tilapia. Luckily, one of those three I like. I asked for a side of collard greens, but I got green beans. It was OK. It was still really good. I also had yams with my supper. It came with a big healthy slice of cornbread. I asked for some peach cobbler for dessert. I figured since I was getting all of that I might as well go all the way. They dropped my fish fresh so by the time I got home it was piping hot. Also by the time I got home, I forgot that I didn't grab my peach cobbler. After enjoying my dinner, I drove back to get my peach cobbler, and went to score of the last one. Everything was delicious. And the greens, yes lawd, add a little hot sauce and I'd think I made them myself. Chick'n nuggets are seasoned very well. It didn't take long to get the food and everything was contactless.
