I stopped by for dinner most recently(probably recommend doing brunch as a first go here), and enjoyed a quiet evening. We started with drinks on the patio by the river(river bar isn't opened everyday so call ahead if you want to sit there). Then went inside for dinner. Reservations are a must! We enjoyed the smoked salmon and kangaroo to start. Then I had the duck dinner which was cooked perfectly."

We were seated and our server was phenomenal! She was actually training, but you would never have known. She is a star and whoever does the hiring made a great selection! The place was lively and the wall art/decor was quite interesting! Check the website for the eye-catching menu before you go. What we ordered: Vegetable Omelet - Sautéed peppers and onions, spinach sun-dried tomatoes, herb cream cheese, your choice of side, salad, breakfast potatoes, watermelon or creamy grits served with croissantSalmon Egg Rolls - Seasoned salmon with mozzarella, peppers, & onions and a "mumbo dipping sauce"Chix & Pancakes - 4 Crispy, fried wings served over a short stack of pancakes with fruit and apple cider syrupYum! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the beautiful ambience - perfect for a romantic date night. I decided to start off with their happy hour, and the drinks were absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, although I will say that the surf and turf dish was on the smaller side. Despite its size, the flavors were outstanding and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. I'm already considering going back today, that's how much I loved it. And to top it off, they offer validated parking for the first two hours.Overall, a great dining experience that I would highly recommend."

Adalberto M. "If you are in town and/or want to try something totally different? This place is for you. First off, don't think you are going to casually walk in without a reservation. Be sure to have reservations or you will not be seated at all! 8:15pm reservations on a Saturday night we were seated a few minutes after, shared long table for two we sat right across from each other. The server handed us a paper menu and explained the way this place works. Allow me to break it down: There are anywhere between five and seven (+/-) talented chefs cooking in plain view and offer a menu of shared items. The list of about 10 items or so will come out randomly, brought out by the chef who made it and you get to decide whether you want it or not. The catch - if you decide to pass on it there is no guarantee it will come back again. So, review the menu and when it comes your way you have an idea if you want it . Anxiety level? 10 at first! We said YES to the first three dishes but after that we got the hang of it. Don't like it after you accepted it? You're stuck with it, buddy. Drinks? Cocktail menu is broken down into two - the ones they have at the bar and the ones they prepare table side. Yes, table side - pretty cool. There's a video i posted. Take a look! The menu changes either daily / weekly but here's my ultimate lowdown. Food: Talented chefs. The creation on the plate makes you think you're on a TV show (except you're paying for it). The flavors primarily were on point and the presentation was without fail. The tableside cocktail drinks were definitely a show but felt it was lacking on the alcohol level. Final thoughts: Great place for something DIFFERENT. Who knows, you may have just stumbled on the next greatest chef. The concept is like something we've never been part of. Food was good overall, even the ones we passed on looked appealing but we can't eat EVERYTHING!The service? For being this busy was top notch. Very attentive and making sure we were good. 5 Stars. You'll have a great time if you are open-minded. Just give it a try. Oh - last thing. Crab Stuffed Chicken Wings. HOW? You'll have to go to find out."

Parking: I believe it's complimentary valet only but there may be self parking tooAtmosphere: upscale, riverfront, steakhouse vibes. Definitely check the dress code! The interior is very bright and open with incredible views to the river. The patio is just so lovely with a little garden.Staff: everyone we encountered was totally incredible! We felt taken care of without being crowded. Felt so upscale!Drinks: wine list was great! Food: alright here we go y'all. My partner and I split everything and I highly recommend that!Bread basket - worth it. We couldn't get a picture because it was gone so fast. It's not your average bread service with flavorful seeded crackers, raisin bread, and sourdough. Tuna poke (I think that's what it was called!) - oh my LANTA this was delicious. I don't think I've had tuna wish rice puffs before but it was a harmonious textural balance and totally let the tuna shine. Absolutely delicious. The wedge - sooooo delicious - wedge salads are just intrinsically good but their dressing was definitely homemade and the bacon shined bright. They even split it in half for us to share. Chefs kiss!Del monico ribeye Oscar style - I recognize that this is the height of luxury. The Oscar style is crab, a cream sauce, and asparagus. It was. Decadent. The steak itself was so incredible but with this add just put it into another category. Every bite was better than the last. Because we had split everything this was a perfect portion to split. Crème brulee - we were totttttally full after the steak but it was my birthday and they kindly brought this over but we ate it all up. Fresh, great berries, and a delicious way to end the meal. Price: this is definitely an indulgent meal. We were celebrating but it was steep. So worth every penny though!!! I hope I get the opportunity to go back!"

D. K. C. "If I had to sum my experience up in one word, it would be Astonishing. From the Pre-Arrival to the departure, everything about The Southern Gentleman (TSG) was amazing. Deciding to take my sistie out for her birthday, TSG appeared in my Yelp search results. Exploring the images and the reviews that appeared I decided to checkout the website. After falling in love with the menu it was a green light. I clicked the link to make a reservation and was taken to Open Table. The process itself was simple, easy, and to the point. Once it was booked I was able to send the info to all those in my party as they could add it to their calendars. As we decided to go on a Saturday at 2:15 pm, I called TSG the day before to ensure that when they closed at 3:00 pm we wouldn't have to leave. As I anticipated, since we would be inside already, we didn't have to depart while they switched over from brunch to lunch/dinner. The young lady who answered the phone was super pleasant, very vibrant, and understood my question. She provided first call resolution and further enhanced my excitement to experience TSG. Can you tell it was my first time? LoL!!!Finally Saturday was upon us and it was time to go. As TSG sits in the area with all the shops, parking wasn't the easiest on the street, however, there is a valet option. TSG sits on the upper level so needless to say I was lost for a few minutes. Walking up to the restaurant, the scenery is gorgeous and the ambiance is immediately set. Beautiful clean lines, white drapes, open patio, glass front, I'm talking all of that and more. The space is infectious and truly draws you in. I opened the door and was greeted by a hostess with a huge smile and pleasant demeanor. She welcomed me in and asked how many. Once I provided her my name she showed us to our seats and the TSG experience was in full go mode. Taking a moment to get settled in our booth and take in the great artwork, eye-catching bar, and beautiful hardwood floors. I told y'all, astonishing. Mykieya approached our table and I was instantly amazed. Her smile, her warm introduction, her service first approach to taking our drink order, whew! Mykieya understands the art of providing stellar service which led to my astonishing experience. Ok. Now! Hear me out. We have gone through the Pre-Arrival - Awesome. I just brought you on my journey of arriving - Awesome. By this time I am on a Happy Service High and I haven't even ordered yet. Speaking of ordering... Babeeeeeeeeeee!!!Hear ye, Hear ye! As if the service wasn't enough, the nerve of management to hire a chef that literally knocked EVERY SINGLE DISH OUT OF THE PARK!!!!! I'm talking flavor, texture, blends and soul pleasing moments of pure bliss. Whew!Let's talk food:For Appetizers,Mac & Cheese - Cheesy, Flavorful, Perfectly Done, WELL above any restaurant made Mac I have ever had. A truly homestyle, grandmother made experience. Chocolate Chip Banana Bread - This secret dish was spot on. Sweet with notes of Savory and all moments of soft baked, well crafted goodness. Deviled Eggs - OhEmGeeeeee. The Deviled portion (LoL) of these eggs was thick, creamy, well blended, well seasoned, and then... as if I wasn't already in love. The gall of the chef to top it with crumbles of perfectly crisp baconnnnnnnnn. Mj Drink,Sweet Tea - Hunni, the brew was Brewin and this tea hit the spot. Sweet. Southern. Stirred. Very Delicious. Very Demoure. My Main Dish,Southern Fried Chicken - ‍ Why did I order this???? This dish stole my entire heart. The pancake tasted like my mother was in back showing off with that cast iron skillet. Crispy edges, soft middle, thick, and huge. This pancake was a showstopper all by itself. However, hold on because in comes the Maple Syrup. Whoa! The syrup was thin and rich. The thinness of it allowed the pancake to soak it up even better. Forget the fact that the chicken was well seasoned, well battered, golden fried, southern seasoned, and best of all... The Bombbbbbbbbbbbbbb. Yes! Forget all that as the pancake had and still (4 days later) has me in a chokehold of love and yearn for another. Every Single Thing I Tasted at TSG has a place in my foodie museum in my head. The portions are great. The pricing point is in line with the quality of the food. And who could forget the service. Great Good. Great Ambiance. Great Service. This was a TRUE DEFINITION of a 5 Star experience... I'll be back VERY SOON!!!!"

The price for what is received is not worth it. Very keen seafood eater here and not all the seafood tasted fresh. Nothing had gone bad but shellfish was all fishy, and you could even taste it through the various sauces. The shrimp was the best part - tasted fresh. The lobster roll was also a disappointment - way too much bread. Now onto the good parts - everything we chose for the 4 courses was delicious. From crab fritter, to mushroom tart, to duck, prime rib..everything was perfectly created to a tee. Loved all the little deliveries from the kitchen as well throughout the meal. We definitely were stuffed by the end.Definitely recommend and would come back. The restaurant itself is also gorgeous rustic chic."

We started with some drinks. I got the kiwi gimlet and my husband got a glass of wine. Their cocktail menu was awesome. Lots of interesting drinks. We got a few dishes to split. We started with the Hawaiian rolls. One order only comes with 1 roll. They are large but so good! We got 2 but honestly could have split 1 with all the other food we got. We also got the pommes macaire. They were sort of like potato and cheese logs with a chipotle Mayo dipping sauce - incredible! We got the tomato tart as well. Probably my least favorite thing but still good. And for our main entree we got the ribeye. The steak was amazing. So tender and flavorful and cooked just right. I loved that it came with a few veggies as well. The service was decent. Not overly nice, but nice enough. It's a pricey meal which is why I'd say save it for a special occasion or when you are just feeling fancy. They don't do anything for your birthday which is kind of a bummer. Service was fantastic- very, very attentive. We tried the farm egg over grilled bread ($12) which is a unique but amazing dish. It's a creamy egg with celery flavoring that you dip bread into. Amazing. We also tried the Chinese Pancake special for $14 which was an upscale version of Scallion Pancakes which was a wonderful take on this classic dish. The two apps alone were worth the dinner. We tried the steak for $38 and the fish of the day for $44. Both dishes were fantastically flavored, plated, and seasoned. My fish had almost Indian style flavor which I wasn't expecting but was delicious. Despite being full, we indulged in the ganache cake for dinner ($13) which again tasted as good as it was presented. It needs a deep clean, a fresh coat of paint, and a refresh. It looks dated and just tired. Light fixtures caked in dust, really beat up walls. Doesn't scream "high end" like the price point would require. The cocktails I remembered as being a bit meh from my last visit but tried again this time. They were fine, but not great and I'd probably just skip ordering a drink next time. Tried the King and a seasonal old fashioned. They need to get large ice cubes if they're going to have a seasonal old fashioned menu. Especially a restaurant at this price point. The salmon was really good. Great, even. The "cheesecake" isn't a cheesecake...it's like a blondie in texture and size.Overall it just wouldn't be my first choice in the area. On top of that, Bree was nice enough to add me to the rewards program. I had (2) of the best old fashioned I've had in some time, a dirty martini, and a Sazerac served up at my request. All of which were sensational. For my food choices, I elected for the half dozen happy hour oysters, a soft shell crab bao, and a blackened salmon taco. The mignonette for my oysters was really tasty. The friendly service team moved at a good pace & in a synchronous fashion. Even amongst the tight spaces between tables. There's little room once you're seated & you have to turn your body/neck to see the performances. I understand maximizing ticket sales, yet stage the tables for the patrons to be comfortable while enjoying their meal & live performances. The second came in a smoked glass and had a cool presentation. He was definitely tipsy by the end of the meal so I'm pretty sure they were both strong drinks not too bad... Around $13-15 ish each I had a mint lemonade spritzer ($4) and it was great! Would def order that again but their cocktails also looked delicious. They also have mocktails (mactails) but they didn't pique my interest This trip we got the chateaubriand, lobster Mac and banana cream pie We accepted the bread and I'm not sure if it was complimentary but if was delicious with honey and butter & a super soft yeast roll each!We ordered the chateaubriand medium but its a thick cut so definitely came out more medium rare/rare and they did cook it more for us because I'm pregnant so I only ended up eating the most cooked pieces they gave and my husband ate the more med rare side. It was delicious though and the bone marrow compound butter ($9) so worth it! The sauce it came with too was also amazing. I was dipping everything in it like the fried lobster, the potatoes, parsnips, everything The lobster Mac was SO good with a great cheese pull and tons of fried & baked lobster. Would 100% order this again The complimentary aligot potatoes were ok. Nothing exciting but they're complimentary so ‍ no cheese pull lol We were torn on dessert because they all sounded good so I looked up pics on yelp & the banana cream pie sold us. First of all, It was huge. Could split between 3-4 people post meal. It's like a whole small pie and it was so creamy, so flavorful yet not too sweet. Bruleed bananas on top, a banana mousse that could've been ice cream, flaky crust, meringue... A must try. Honestly I'm excited just thinking about eating the leftovers of this one. We didn't finish any of our food because it was a ton for 2 people Whole bill came out to $230 pre tip They do have a wheelchair lift but she said you had to walk a stair or two after it so not really handicap accessible. They're attached to the raw bar portion though so might be able to sit there if handicapped because the chophouse downstairs only has booths. The cuisine is New American and Mediterranean.Fia is pronounced "fee-uh." It's Italian for flickering flame or little fire. The restaurant opened in December 2019 inside the Burgess Hotel, a boutique hotel. The hotel's co-owner and executive chef is named Burges Jokhi. Burgess and Burges. Coincidence? Burges owns the place with his partner, Freny Jokhi. The hotel bar, Mr B Bar, was named after Freny's dad, Keki Bunshah. The Burgess used to be a Wingate by Wyndham. Initially, the Burgess was part of Wyndham's Trademark Collection. Now, it's in Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.Hotel restaurants are notoriously hit or miss. I'm happy to report Fia is one of the best hotel restaurants I've dined at in metro Atlanta and one of the better ones anywhere. Fia was named a Yelp Top 100 US Restaurant in 2022 (#32).Reservations are recommended. It was packed during our Saturday night visit. Those without a reservation either had to sit "outside" at the bar or wait until one of the last seatings of the night. That night, I noticed a walk-in party return to be seated around 9pm. Book your reservation using OpenTable and earn dining points which can be used to redeem restaurant discounts, Amazon gift cards, hotel stays, and more.Free self-parking is available on the sides and back of the hotel. For a hotel of this "caliber," the parking did strike us as a bit sketch at night. And getting from the parking lot to the front of the hotel involved walking onto the driveway and into traffic. Not the safest. The restaurant and hotel are gorgeous. It's a distinct, eclectic mix of both traditional and modern design, decorated with art from different cultures. It sounds gaudy, but they managed to pull it off. The international flair reminds me of The Consulate restaurant in Midtown. Fia's dining room is cozy and offers a variety of tables and seating -- white tablecloth, wood and stone surfaces, booths, banquettes, and armchairs. There's also an outdoor patio.During our dinner visit, the drink menu featured over a dozen cocktails from Mr B Bar plus wine and bottled and canned beer. The food menu had many salads and apps (e.g., Warm Goat Cheese & Tomato Tartlet, Grilled Giant Prawn), a handful of entrees (e.g., Braised Lamb Shank), several woodfired items (e.g., A5 Wagyu Ribeye, Bell & Evans Moroccan Chicken), and large sides. Here's what three of us had:Specialty Cocktails* Coconut Pecan Old Fashioned ($17) - coconut-washed bourbon, spiced pecan demerara, bitters* "Dirty" Martini ($18) - vodka, Italian vermouth, olives* Base Camp ($17) - vodka, rose nectar, grapefruitWines by the Glass* Red / Cabernet ($17) - Katherine, Alexander Valley, CA 2021Salads & Appetizers* Beets & Burrata ($18) - sherry balsamic vinaigrette, basil oil, pickled onion, toasted pistachios* Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi ($19) - beurre monte, white truffle, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese* Pork Belly ($17) - Jack and Coke glaze, heirloom grits* Charred Octopus ($19) - roasted pepper, artichoke, olives, capers, lemon, olive oil* Grilled Ciabatta ($7) - tomato-rubbed, chimichurriEntree* Pan-Seared New England Scallops ($37) - saffron risotto, artichoke, oven-roasted tomato, basilFrom the Fia Woodfired Grill* 8 oz Center-Cut Filet ($49) - cognac peppercorn sauce* Whole Branzino ($42) - fennel-citrus saladShareable Side* Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($13) - pear gastriqueDessert* Bananas Foster ($15) - vanilla gelatoEverything was excellent, both in taste and presentation. The plating was beautiful. Each dish was a work of art. The attention to detail was evident. The tableware was unique and artistic, some with colorful floral patterns. My favorites dishes were the Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi, Pork Belly, and Pan-Seared New England Scallops. Between the mushrooms and cheese, the gnocchi dish was packed with umami. Buttery too, but not excessive. And the gnocchi had perfect texture. The quality of the pork belly was terrific. The meat and grits were delicious. The scallops were fresh and plump -- among the best I've had in recent memory. Together with the risotto and veggies, the dish was really tasty. If you like burrata and octopus, I recommend both the Beets & Burrata and Charred Octopus appetizers. They didn't disappoint. The beets were well seasoned. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The Grilled Ciabatta turned out to be a great recommendation from our server. It worked better as a side than an app. The Whole Branzino was well executed and fileted to have barely any bones, which I appreciated -- another wonderful dish. The Bananas Foster wasn't finished tableside, but was still fantastic. The drinks were superb as well. I enjoyed the "Dirty" Martini in particular and I usually don't like martinis. Our server Zoe S was amazing. She was very friendly and attentive."

Kevin W. "I came here for dinner and it was a pleasant surprise. This place has a very nice decor. It feels like Italy. The building has three sections: main inside, bar, and outside patio. The main inside has plenty of booths and tables. The bar is at the entrance. The outside patio has a cover for the weather. The bar is inside and nice with limited seating. The staff is friendly but the place was packed and slowed down service a bit. I ordered the slow roasted pork shank, sake martini, Rye redemption, and dessert pizza. The cocktails tasted great. The Rye Redemption is pretty much a Manhattan with a splash of bitters. The sake martini has a Japanese fruit puree in it which makes it sweet and balanced. The pork shank comes with fried Brussel sprouts and grits. The Brussel sprouts and grits are amazing and made this dish worth it. The pork shank was a little tougher than I expected and it was a low temperature. The dessert pizza or apple pizza is a fried tortilla with cinnamon sugar as a base. Then it is piled on with cinnamon apples, blue berries, crumbles, and mint leaves. The dish came cold but they took it back and warmed it up. They also put a bit of vanilla ice cream on top. It tasted great the second time."

Amber T. "I really wish I could add half stars, as I would rate my experience a 3.5. I went on a Saturday around 5 pm. It was still considered brunch up until 6pm. They have a private parking lot in the rear of the restaurant. There was a $10 parking fee so I would have assumed the lot was being overseen by the attendants who were out there, however that was not the case. I'm assuming they only charged because it was brunch time as by the time we got back to the car to leave. The parking attendants were gone and it was now free to park. There is an entrance off the main road, as well as an entrance in the back. For the rear entrance you have to walk up a couple sets of stairs from the parking lot. Outside the rear entrance there's a grass wall. The restaurant is honestly inline with most grass wall restaurants. It's good to sit back and vibe. They offer hookah of course, but if you choose to partake you're sat in a separate room. The playlist was on point, with quite a few Beyonce songs played. Not sure if that's why it's called the hive. However the music was really loud, we could barely hear each other during dinner. We were seated immediately. Our server was very nice however it seems staff would communicate what items are sold out prior to ordering. We placed our order, and afterwards she came back 3 times to advised items were sold out or unavailable. The food and drinks were definitely overpriced but everything was honestly very flavorful and delicious. The waters and non alcoholic beverages came out in clear plastic cups. When asking for the dipping sauces that were supposed to come with the egg rolls they brought them out in black wicker type basket along with extra napkins. It was definitely throwing off the setting with the picnic-esque items."

Linda K. "Atlas, located in St. Regis, is an upscale, swanky restaurant that has a very popular tasting menu. (They have an a-la-carte menu too but when I looked around, it seemed everyone was doing the tasting menu!) The service was very personal and the food tasted great with great presentation. It's pricy, as expected from anything in St. Regis. We went in October and this was the tasting menu we received:Course 0: Amuse BoucheThe amuse bouche here was some small bites provided from the kitchen - a foie gras cookie with jam, some homemade chip with homemade dipping, a soft and crispy cracker with some beet powder salt and a small ball of deliciousness I can't remember exactly what it was. Everything was amazing and made me so excited of what's to come next.Course 1: Kristal CaviarIt does seem like if you want a Michelin star, then some form of caviar must be on the menu. I love caviar, so I'm not complaining. This is served with otoro (the under-belly inside the tuna), and ponzu creme. The ponzu creme is in the middle there. The flowers tasted like chocolate. The caviar was below the first flower, and tuna was below the second flower. I'm not sure how I was supposed to eat this whole thing but it was delicious.Course 2: A Waldorf Salad of SortsThis was a deconstructed Waldorf salad, and they poured liquid nitrogen on top to create a beautiful white smoke. Everything in this salad was heavenly and I loved the presentation.Course 3: SquashThey called this course Squash, but clearly there's more lobster than squash here, but who's complaining? There was also sea buckthorns in here and some kind of emulsion. Delicious.Course 4: Hen's EggThis course was a hen's egg, served with parsley, morels, and a pastry made with truffles. The two funny looking things towards the back of the photo is the pastry. The hen's egg had the colors of a century egg, sitting in a gravy type of sauce. The inside of the egg was soft. I dipped the bread in the gravy. My mouth is currently watering as I'm typing this because it was SO good. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night.Course 5: Poached HalibutWhen I first saw the halibut presented in a biscuit shape, I wasn't sure what to think of it, but once I took a stab at it, I realized it was actually very soft and tender. This came with beets three ways - pickled, fresh, and powdered. There was also some finger lime and regular lime in it. I never knew what finger lime was until I started dining at these restaurants recently. They call it the poor man's caviar, and it is so fitting. If you ever get your hands on some finger lime, try it. I loved this course.Course 6: Westholme WagyuWestholme Wagyu is from Australia and turned out to be the only dish I was disappointed in in the night. The beef was very tender as expected but it was also very fatty. I've enjoyed Wagyu beef from Japan and Georgia and they've never been so greasy. I'm glad this beef wasn't too large because I could barely finish it without feeling nauseous. This was served with pickled watermelon, pickled onion, and a few other condiments. We were instructed to cut up the beef and eat each bite with an accompaniment which did help cut down how greasy the meat was.Cheese CourseNow we were presented with an optional cheese course. I don't eat cheese so I was not interested in it. I did enjoy the presentation and the server was very knowledgeable about the cheese that was on display.Course 7: Lime, Vanilla, PineappleThis was our first dessert of the night and it came in a wine glass. This was delicious and not too sweet or too strong of any flavor. I loved the combination of everything in here.Course 8: FM RocherSimilar to a Ferrero Rocher, the FM Rocher is named after the culinary director and chef, Freddie Money. Taste like a Ferrero Rocher with vanilla, hazelnut and chocolate, this was absolutely amazing. When you crack open the ball, the inside spills onto the delicious crunches below, covers them in a chocolate and hazelnut glaze. Very good.MignardiseLast course was an assortment of mignardises such as gummy bears, mini ice cream cone, and some chocolates. We were pretty full at this point and didn't finish all the little candies but what we did try were great!Congratulations to Atlas on earing a Michelin star and I think it's well deserved."

Jeremy T. "I was debating for a while on where to take my colleague for lunch one weekday, and just decided to try this place out. It doesn't have the highest Yelp rating in town, but I did like the name. This visit was right before our flight back to Houston. I ordered the steak frites which, although was the most expensive item on the menu, ended up being well worth it, since it was delicious and really hit the spot. My colleague on the other hand ordered the fried chicken plate. It took a while to come out even though the restaurant was not very busy, due to the fried chicken, but we both really enjoyed our meal. This may have been my colleague's favorite work trip meal in the last few months. He indicated everything that comes on the plate, the biscuit, mashed potatoes, gravy, and chicken just seemed to fit together in perfect harmony.Service was satisfactory, we can't complain there. Parking was free and located in the garage at the rear of the building."
