The appetizers were delicious but it take a long time for them to come out. Our servers were fantastic though and kept us up to date on delays and such. The overall ambiance was nice but also not anything exceptional. I had the trout for dinner and it was very over cooked but also had taken so long to come out that I wasn't hungry anymore. The green beans paired with it on the other hand were fantastic. Overall, this was a good experience and I'd be up for visiting again!"

Alex H. "My family and I decided to go to Kiosco on a whim to start our weekend off as the reviews were great and the food looked delicious. This originally was a Cuban restaurant, but it has since changed and they now serve Mediterranean cuisine. A lot of people recommended making a reservation and I recommend you to as well as it's a super small spot.Although the restaraunt is small, the space is so quaint and cute. They have a small bar in which you can sit at, along with regular seating. The space has low lights at night for dinner and really was a relaxing ambiance. On arrival, our table wasn't ready yet, but we were seated at the bar I. Which we could order drinks and appetizers while we waited. The party we were waiting on took a bit longer than the staff expected and they were very accommodating. They made sure to check in with us and even provided us an appetizer on the house. We really appreciated the customer service. Although we waited, we didn't mind because the staff made sure we were well taken care off and really provided exceptional customer service throughout the whole night. Now let's get on to the food and drinks. Everything was absolutely amazing!!! I can't stress how good everything we had was. The appetizer we had was the mezzo trio which had a beetroot humus, roasted red pepper feta, and tzatziki with house made pita bread. The roasted red pepper feta was the star of the table. We also ordered the spanakopita which was like a creamed spinach filling with ooey gooey cheese and was delicious. I could go on and on about each dish in detail, but I'll spare y'all lol. Just know it was all great and you can't go wrong with anything. I loved my pulled beef! It was so tender and seasoned very well. The drinks were also delicious and everyone enjoyed their drinks. The pink lady drink was refreshing. The espresso martini, you could tell they made the espresso fresh and was a great night cap to end my meal.Price wise it was a bit pricey as it all added up, but definitely worth it. I definitely will be back as I'd love to also try their breakfast one day."

Lynn O. "El Super Pan is located on the first floor of the Ponce City Market. The Latin sounds and tropical vibe drew me in. The offerings were enticing: Cuban style sandwiches, bowls, empanadas, and desserts. I had the Olive Sofrito Chicken Sandwich ($15) and devoured it! The chicken was juicy, tender and pulled, the bread was thin, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, the veggies were fresh and the chimichurri sauce tied it all together. The meat, bread and veggie ratio couldn't have been better!Sandwiches come with a side and I opted for the sweet plantains, which was also delicious. I washed my lunch down with a cup of Cava ($11) and that was a memorable first meal I had in Atlanta!"

Valerie W. "Nice setting, tempting small plate, entree, and cocktail choices, but I got the SLIGHT impression that our server just wasn't really in the "mood" to deal with us (or anyone else...) the night we were there. No worries, no harm/no foul... The food here is too good to "ding" a bad attitude. We started out with the tostones with cheese and pineapple salsa, which was SO good, I (selfishly...) didn't want to share!! I'm going to STEAL this recipe and ATTEMPT to make it at home!! The menu was challenging, EVERYTHING sounded wonderful, but I went with the Brasilian Pinchos de Hongos (deliciously seasoned portobello mushrooms and assorted roasted veggies), while the others at my table went for an order of beef empanadas and veg. arepas. They also took advantage of the 2/1 margaritas. I was tempted to try one of their desserts, either the 3 leches cake or the maracuya passion mousse cake, but was "good" instead... There's a great variety of creatively done L. American small and large plate options here... I hope to return one day and try some more!! Mmmmm!!"

Jay J. "This place was pretty busy during the lunch hour so I would suggest to call in or place an order online. The pick up process was simple. The team was friendly for the short interaction I encountered. The food was fresh and generous in size. This was my first time visiting. I ordered a shrimp burrito bowl. There honestly wasn't anything magical or different about this place. I enjoy authentic Mexican and this place reminds me of Tex-Mex food. If this is your vibe go for it. I think this is a one and done for me."

Rebecca T. "While searching for the best fried chicken in town, I would've never thought that I'd find it at a Peruvian restaurant! Las Brasas is an institution in Decatur, serving massive portions at affordable prices. My partner and I ordered arroz chaufa, elote, and a half portion of fried chicken to share. The elote was creamy, salty, and very sour, probably from the Tajin and lime put on it-- but solid! The arroz chaufa was humongous, with enough portions to feed us for five nights-- tasty, too, and the sauce that went with it had a surprisingly-potent kick!Star of the show, however, was the Peruvian fried chicken ("pollo frito"). We got the half portion (which was the smallest amount), yet it was still massive with two thighs and a wing. I'll be honest and say that, while one of the thighs was perfect (tender, juicy, crispy), the other thigh was dry. Sadly, a bit inconsistent, but I still enjoyed most of the chicken and I especially loved the crackling outer skin. I think the chefs also sprinkled Tajin on top, which added an extra pop of flavor to an already-flavorful chicken.Be aware that service can be really slow and a little standoffish-- we spent over an hour at the restaurant, but to be honest, this is a place to take your time and enjoy the meal presented to you. Las Brasas is a great staple to the Decatur community, and I would return for more!"

Angelica D. "The lechon asado (pulled pork) bowl with plantains is hands down one of my absolute favorite things to eat for lunch. The bowl is quite filling and contains the most delicious pulled pork, rice and savory black beans. The flavors are truly incredible. Add the hot sauce and creamy cilantro sauce for an elevation of flavors. I also can't visit without the getting their beef empanadas. They're really good. It gets quite busy during lunch hours, but the wait times have never been too crazy. There's plenty of free parking, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is always friendly."

John E. "You can find Sabores Del Plata at 6200 Buford Hwy, Norcross, GA 30071 - this is the stretch of Buford Hwy that has major construction so much of the center is blocked - you may need to make a U-turn depending on which direction you're traveling - just an FYI. The parking lot is a bit of a mess as there are many businesses - coming during slightly off-hours is best.Sabores Del Plata is an Uruguayan-style steakhouse - that means meat and a lot of it, as the restaurant's signature dishes. The interior is low and a bit dark, perfect for the consumption of massive amounts of protein. I met with Laura C. to try the place out (as an aside, I couldn't make Daniel B.'s UYE when he had it here years ago). We arrived slightly before the lunch rush so seated immediately. The place filled up quickly so we placed our orders right away.We started with a couple of empanadas, which went quickly. I preferred the beef over the ham.For entries I ordered the choripan filled with delicious sausage. Laura got the Bandeja del Plata with vegetables and mashed potatoes (which sounded intriguing to her). Neither Laura or I was a fan of the potatoes although I'm sure others would like it.We finished up with the Chaja cake - three layers of caramel, peaches and cream. We both liked it a lot.Service was good with prompt staff and quick refills. In all a good experience - next time I'm getting a "death by meat" plate though. The Churrasco looks devine."

Lily S. "What an amazing hidden gem in sandy springs! The food was amazing, a wide variety of Latin selections. I was craving lomo saltado and this place def hit the spot. We also got the loaded tostones with pulled beef (amazing flavor and was surprisingly filling), traditional ceviche (not my fav as the fish was a little too chewy), and the ropa vieja.Service was not the best as we had to flag him down a couple times but I think he was just trying to not be too interruptive. However, while we were dining, a homeless person wandered into the restaurant and asked us for money while we were dining at our table..... the homeless person circled back and confronted me AGAIN as he thought I was calling the cops but I was just on my phone texting- we were shocked and were so put off by this as the host was at the front and just let him in??? The server said the host was very young hence didn't have enough experience but I think that's a ridiculous excuse. If she's old enough to work, she should be old enough to carry common sense."

Daniel B. "El Burro Pollo gets a solid four stars out of me. This is one of a handful of restaurants at The Collective Food Hall at Coda at Georgia Tech's Technology Square in Midtown. At the time of writing this review, this is the only El Burro Pollo location in Atlanta. This location of El Burro Pollo opened on March 19, 2020, at the same time as The Collective Food Hall at Coda. Yep, just in time for the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm not sure they could've timed it any better.El Burro Pollo originally started as a burrito stand in the parking lot of Pura Vida, the old tapas restaurant in Poncey-Highland that closed on December 31, 2012 after 12 years in business: https://www.yelp.com/biz/pura-vida-atlanta. It was run by the same owner as today, chef Hector Santiago, who has become a celebrity chef in Atlanta.Currently, chef Hector also owns and runs the El Super Pan Latin restaurants and bars located at Ponce City Market and The Battery (two locations). With El Burro Pollo at The Collective, chef Hector and team have only opened businesses inside food courts and mixed-use developments. I've enjoyed the food at both El Super Pan locations. Therefore, it came as no surprise to me when I found the food at El Burro Pollo to be equally as enjoyable. To fans of El Super Pan and chef Hector - before there was El Super Pan, there was El Burro Pollo. In fact, this Yelp listing is the original. If you sort the reviews from oldest to newest, you'll see Yelp OG Stephie Z was the first to review El Burro Pollo on Yelp on August 9, 2010. That's how long this business has been around. The parking lot burrito stand on North Highland 11 years ago is now a fancy food court stall in the slick Coda high-rise building.Parking for El Burro Pollo and other restaurants at The Collective Food Hall at Coda is available on the streets surrounding the building: Spring, 4th, and West Peachtree. In all my visits to Coda so far, I've always been able to easily find parking on 4th St NW. You can pay a variety of ways. I use and recommend the ParkMobile app because you can easily pay using your phone, monitor your parking meter, and add time if needed. The parking zone number is 51548.Parking is enforced Monday-Saturday, 7am-10pm. Sunday and city holidays exempt. So basically, you have to pay to park during El Burro Pollo's business hours. Coda has a deck too, but I think it's more expensive than parking on the street. The last time I paid to park on the street here, it cost $2.30 for one hour.El Burro Pollo has a very nice stall inside The Collective. The Collective, in general, looks great. It's clean and contemporary. El Burro Pollo has an eight-seat breezeway-facing bar. When the weather is nice, they'll open up the glass doors so if you're sitting at the bar, it feels like you're sitting outside. The Collective has a spacious outdoor patio with a three giant digital displays. The bar wraps around to The Collective's inside dining area where there are plenty of seats, including at the counter of El Burro Pollo. The kitchen is open so you can see the staff prepare orders. The stall has two tablets for customers to place their orders. During my visit, one tablet was manned by an employee and the other was self-serve. I used the self-serve tablet. I noticed the menu on the tablet was slightly different than the menu posted on the wall as well as the laminated paper menus at the counter. More on that below.El Burro Pollo serves botanas (snacks) like Duros (Mexican wheat snack, $2) and Cueritos (blanched pork rinds, $5), Mexico west-coast-style ceviches, "Juarez-style" burritos, and specials like escabeche (tuna salad, $10.50).Here's what I got:* Beef Taquitos ($9.50)* Kimchi Quesadilla ($8.00) - flour tortilla, queso Chihuahua and queso fresco, kimchi, avocado sauce* El Burro Pollo burrito ($10.50) - charred 10" wheat tortilla, Chef Hector's chunky three-chili-hot-sauce-marinated Springer Mountain chicken, "Burro Pollo" slaw with fresh cabbage, carrots, radish, cilantro, and seasonal vegetables, "Banderita!" tomatillo, sour creamEverything was delicious. The Beef Taquitos and Kimchi Quesadilla weren't on the print menu. They were only on the tablet. A regular quesadilla was on the print menus, though. The Beef Taquitos were crispy and filled with a satisfying amount of tender and juicy meat inside. The outside had the same wonderful avocado sauce that was used on the Kimchi Quesadilla. The Kimchi Quesadilla was excellent, from the high-quality, delectably-charred tortilla to the two luscious cheeses inside. Finally, the original El Burro Pollo burrito was outstanding. It was fresh, filling (lots of tender, marinated, shredded chicken), and unique. I really liked the three-chili hot sauce that was used to marinate the chicken. As a fan of veggies, I loved the fresh and crunchy slaw. The tomatillo and sour cream tied everything together. The El Burro Pollo is one of the most gratifying burritos in Atlanta.Service was excellent."

We were seated immediately and served chips and salsa, and then took our time and finally ordered. We called ahead to see if they could make vegetarian pupusas and I'm so happy they were able to! The cheese and bean pupusa is to die for! It was so warm and comforting and tasted really good with the cabbage slaw and spicy salsa. The tamale was okay (a little dry) but they provided sour cream which made it moist. Their horchata is perfectly sweet, and its a big glass! Daniel B. "Pupuseria Mi Tierra is a small, authentic Salvadoran restaurant located in Intown Plaza, a two-story shopping strip on Buford Highway. The restaurant is sandwiched between popular 8° Fahrenheit Ice Cream and Beijing Kabobs. In Spanish, "mi tierra" means "my land." A pupuseria sells pupusas which are thick corn tortillas filled with various ingredients like beans, cheese, and pork. Pupusas are considered to be the national dish of El Salvador. You can find pupusas up and down Buford Highway at businesses like 5 de Mayo Mexican Restaurant and Pupuseria, La Salvadorenita Pupuseria y Taqueria, and Rincon Latino. Pupuseria Mi Tierra is one of the newer pupuserias to open on Buford Highway (I believe it opened in 2015). Generally, all of the pupusas I've had in Atlanta have been good including at this shop. The interior is small. The dining room has small tables that can seat, in total, about 20 customers comfortably. There's no outdoor seating. You order and pay upfront at the counter. The business doesn't have much decor save for some colored Christmas lights and Christian (Catholic?) paintings of Jesus, Mary, and others. There are a couple agua frescas ("cool waters") churning at the counter. During our visit, they contained horchata (cinnamon rice drink) and what looked like tamarindo (tamarind drink). There was also a small baked goods display case on the counter, but it was empty. Behind the counter are a fridge with bottled soda and water and a coffee maker. There's a menu above the counter. When we visited, the menu had no pricing. I had to ask the lady at the register what the prices were for individual items. The menu does have helpful pictures. The menu had 12 items listed in Spanish with no English translations. Below are the 12 items with their spellings and my translations:* Bisteck de Res - beef steak* Caldo de Pata - Salvadoran cow feet soup* Carne Gisada - beef stew* Mojarra Frita - fried whole tilapia* Pakaya Forrada - date palms* Pupusas (queso, chicharon, revuelta) - cheese, fried pork rinds, combo/mix* Tacos* Platanos con Crema - plantains with cream sauce* Desayunos - breakfast* Caldo de Res - beef soup* Tamales - masa steamed in a banana leaves* Tamalito de Elote - Central American corn cakeI asked how much the pupusas were and was told they were $6 for 3 pupusas. I ordered a plate of pupusas revueltas (pupusas filled with beans, cheese, and pork), platanos con crema, and tamales for $10. I asked for two tap waters (not the bottled Dasani water in the fridge) and was charged $2 for two foam cups with water. After we were seated, some of my friends asked for water served the same way and they weren't charged. One of my friends ordered desayunos and a water and was charged $7. We're assuming the breakfast plate was $6 and the water was $1.Note: This is a cash only business. If dining in, all food is served on/in disposable foam plates and cups. Takeout appears to be a popular option. During our lunch visit, I noticed several folks coming in and ordering takeout. The desayunos plate was simple and basic, consisting of scrambled eggs, fried plantains (3 pieces), beans with a bit of cream sauce, and steaming hot, fresh corn tortillas wrapped in foil. The pupusas took the longest to make, I assume because they were made fresh. On my way out of the restroom, I glanced inside the kitchen and saw three ladies preparing what I think were pupusas by hand. The pupusas were served in a foil-lined basket. They were warm and had a nice, appetizing, doughy consistency. The Salvadoran chicharron that is used for pupusas is different from the fried pork belly or fried pork rinds you typically find when ordering chicharron elsewhere. It's finer, thinner, and cooked into the melted cheese and refried beans of the pupusas revueltas. The pupusas were served with the traditional side of curtido which is a spicy coleslaw made with cabbage, carrots, pepper, and other ingredients. Adding curtido and a sauce/salsa to your pupusas is a must. At our table, we had a few house salsas (two reds and a green) plus Picamas Salsa Brava (green) and Valentina Salsa Picante (red). I recommend the house sauces, but try them all.I liked the plantanos con crema though they were far from the tastiest fried plantains (maduros) I've had. Our order came with 6 pieces which were equivalent to maybe about 1 or 2 whole plantains. They were ripe and mildly sweet. The cream sauce was tasty. It looked like it was squeezed out of a bottle. I'm not exactly sure what kind of cream it was, but it tasted like sour cream. I've heard/read this combo is eaten with sugar or cinnamon, but there was none here. The tamale was OK. Again, not the best I've had, but not bad either. Mi Tierra's version is more of a short, compact tamale as opposed to the longer, more rectangular version that is more commonly seen. Our tamale was served unwrapped and contained chicken. I felt that the corn and chicken could have had more flavor."
