Megha D. "I was so sad when their other location Takorea closed down a few years ago, so I was excited to finally make my way over to Hankook. It's a pretty small parking lot but I came for an early Friday dinner and was able to find parking! This place is pretty no frills, but the staff is super friendly and helped me with placing an order. I just got a taco combo with the beef bulgogi taco and a pork taco with sesame fries and a soda. The food came out super fast which I appreciated and I was able to snag a booth as well. I loved the sauce on each and the price to value here just can't be beat. The star of the meal though has to be their sesame fries. OMG. I literally finished them all!! Overall, great quick service meal with some interesting flavors. Definitely check them out."

I've been to a few Korean BBQ places, but the 1st that had charcoal grills. Most I've seen are natural gas. We had a good amount of bon chon dropped off shortly after our drink orders were placed. The restaurant was super generous with the bon chon. It was all tasty. Some of the items were new to me, but it wasn't Kimchi overkill. We ordered the combo D, recommended for 5 folks, but was plenty of food for us. They had a good bar selection for a Korean BBQ place. Didn't try any soju, but it was nice to try the local beers on tap. I would definitely eat here again."

Even with the high traffic, we were still able to get a table for two without a hitch. The complimentary layout includes the typical kimchi, spicy bean sprouts, and japchae. There was also macaroni salad, broccoli and small deep fried fish. It was a surprisingly hot day in October so I decided to get their cold noodle soup which was refreshingly light with crisp slices of slightly pickled daikon slices. Their short ribs and bulgolgi also looked delicious. Overall, we had a good experience since the service was prompt and efficient. I liked my soup and would be very interested in trying other items from their small menu (which may be larger if there for dinner)."

The restaurant was slammed and yet they were still able to seat us rather quickly! None of us had eaten Korean BBQ before and it was quite obvious we had no idea where to begin. Lucky for us, our server was super helpful to our group when we were trying to decide what/how much to order. We opted for the beef set up which states it's for 4-5 people but was more than enough food for our hungry group of 8!! I loved how the server just took control and cooked our meal right before our eyes. Everything from the appeteasers to the main event was delectable. I also absolutely loved that there were multiple types of kimchi (my favorite) served!! Quite a lot has changed with this place but was told it's the same owner ever since I started going here. One of the big changes - they used to have a sauce bar where you can get your own sauce and free barley tea. I didn't see either of these but it wasn't a big deal. It's counter service and I decided to order a tofu bibimbap with lettuce base and sides of kimchi and brown rice. The staff was very friendly and their customer service is great. I was in the middle of ordering but someone called and the server excused himself to take the call.It only took a few minutes for our orders to come. Mine came with a decent amount of deep fried tofu on top of lettuce. This could have definitely used more sauce since the lettuce was dry with no dressing. I dumped the kimchi to make a salad bowl scenario, which helped with the dryness of the dish."

We started off with the tteokbokki, kimchi pancake, Korean style chicken wings with spicy chili sauce, C5 Bibimbap + kimchi tofu soup and two hot tea. $78.44Their kimchi pancake is okay, although I was surprised to find squid in it, missed the menu options for seafood or seafood kimchi pancake. I really wasn't expecting or wanting any seafood in my pancake at all. Should have been more specific and clear. The dipping sauce is good. The rose tteokbokki sauce is good, nice kick and heat to it. The rice cakes are quite soft and mushy. The tea has a subtle flavor, but still quenches your thirst. The bibimbap default comes with bulgogi beef, which my husband had to eat, since I don't eat red meat. The bibimbap with a bit more sesame oil and gochujang was good. The kimchi tofu was okay, a bit bland, the bulk of the flavor has settled to the bottom of the crock piThe banchans: kimchi, cucumber kimchi, broccoli and fish cake."

Four of us thought the chicken was delicious...nicely fried and juicy (even the white meat). We also tried their green salad (cabbage and corn with a 1000 Island-type dressing), Kimchee mac and cheese (not to our liking), and the Korean corn (kernels with mozzarella cheese). Didn't get a pic of our 1/2 bird before we chowed at it. For the Taiwan Beer, this was the least favorite version that we tried (mango and lychee were great tasting). The establishment itself was simple, with some bench seating and regular chairs around tables, black walls and a couple of tvs.You order at the counter and the menu is clearly displayed on the wall. The cashier was cheerful and welcoming. It wasn't long for our order to come up and the chicken was piping hot. The inside has this gritty ambiance that makes you feel like you're out on the streets of Korea. The menu isn't vast but I really do prefer it that way since it helps narrow down what we want to order. We decided on the spicy squid, bone marrow japchae, and hedo bap. All 3 came out around the same time, fast. Personally, I liked that :) I started grubbing so hard that I thought to myself, "Wow, I'm glad my gf and I are comfortable with each other." because I was giving serious White Chicks/Marlon Wayans "damn lil lady, you sho can put it away" behavior. Spicy squid was yummy but not my fave. 2nd place went to the japchae. Noodles were good but that bone marrow was the star! I think the marrow was torched a bit so it gave it this nice charred texture and flavor. Devine! The thing that would bring me back here again and again is the hedo bap. The combo of all the crunchy toppings, warm rice and cold tuna made this texturally satisfying. Also, felt a little healthier to eat in comparison to the other things we ordered. There are many Korean Chicken restaurants in the Duluth and surrounding areas, but Choong Man Chicken seemed to stand out for some reason.I arrived super-early for lunch, and was seated right away. The place had a dark, barsy vibe...but they did play some perky K-Pop videos. Am thinking this place is more popular at nights...since chicken and beer is a thing (with Koreans). Anyway, the service was friendly...and the foods came quickly.Anyway, I tried their "Soy Garlic Spring Greens Chicken", which comes with a side of white radish. I also ordered a side or Rice. Since I came for lunch, I got the smaller portion, which was still substantial. As expected, the chicken was delish...but not quite what I expected. The chicken didn't seem double-fried (?) and wasn't crispy...which was disappointing. I guess to get the double-fried crispy, I should have gone with other flavors. I actually regretted not choosing their signature flavor, "Snow Onion Chicken"...as that chicken seemed more crispy.Overall, I was a tad disappointed...but mostly due to what I chose (?). The transition from Japanese to Korean and Chinese cuisine seems well-received. It served as a great setting for an important meeting. We enjoyed the Fried Chicken in Hot and Sour Sauce (유린기) and Seafood Nurungjitang (해물 누룽지탕) - both were excellent, though portion consistency can vary. Despite considering rice or noodles, we left satisfied. 유린기 is becoming a personal favorite, and the quality of ingredients shines through. Hoping for consistent excellence in their food and service.Edit based on 10/13/2023 negative experienceBased on my previous excellent dining experiences, I recommended Yuki for my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. The seats for 14 people reserved for the biggest dining table in the restaurant. The overall dining experience was enjoyable, but it was marred when I discovered a piece of plastic in my food, and worse, found another piece in my mouth, which could have been ingested and potentially caused serious harm to my internal organs. I promptly informed a waitress to ensure that the owner was made aware of the issue. On my way out, I happened to encounter the owner, and I inquired if he had been informed. He appeared puzzled, and it seemed that he had not been informed. The same waitress confirmed that she had indeed informed him. Unfortunately, the owner's reaction was disappointing. He offered neither an apology nor a comment, leaving the situation unaddressed. This lack of response is inappropriate, as it could signify either denial or a lack of commitment to improving the cooking process. It suggests that customers need to be extra cautious."

Driving up to Krave, it is right off the Main Street so you can't miss it. Parking is limited as the lot itself is smaller so I would suggest carpooling if you're in a group. Upon walking in the ambiance is chill yet vibrant. There was an R&B Playlist playing which instantly caught my ear. The style of the decor is simple yet bold. LoL! Let me explain, simple in design, yet bold with the dominance of black as the color stands out with the all glass front and few pops of color. The menu hangs on the wall, I would have loved to have been able to review a paper menu opposed to keeping my neck at an angle while I reviewed the menu, however, there weren't any. As this was my first time at Krave it took me a few moments to fully capture the menu selections. I think my neck was mad at me. I decided on the Chicken Bulgogi Bowl - 12 oz chicken in fruit based soy sauce over rice... The dish is simple by design but elaborate in flavor. The profile fusion of the spice accompanying the fruit based soy sauce is absolutely mouth pleasing. The chicken was moist and flavorful and seasoned with a spice blend that fit the fusion theme of the bowl. The portion was perfect for the price and had enough for me to take some to go. If you're not into spice you can get the bowl regular. My little brother had it that way and enjoyed it as much as I did the spicy. The service is quick and efficient. The young lady at the register was nice and was able to answer the few questions we had. The restaurant was super clean. The tables weren't sticky and the floors were clean as well. Good Food. Clean Environment. Great Playlist. I will definitely be back to Krave for another Chicken Bulgogi Bowl."

Every option is available to you so why not?Now it got to the point where I was able to access the beef ribs (shaved). If you're expecting real bone in beef ribs it doesn't work that way. The beef from the ribs are shaved and marinaded and I must say, that meat was so good. You didn't even need any of the sauces they give you. They were perfect just the way they are. I also unlocked the garlic butter shrimp. The shrimp is a nice size but I think you nearly have to be a pro to peel those. I had a little trouble peeling them because it seems as though the shells were stuck on the shrimp. However once I did, the shrimp was really good! If you're not a good eater or just going to eat 2 helpings, don't pay that extra price because you will be wasting money. Afterwards you won't be able to justify why you spent $42 with tip included on a meal. The day I went, if It was Ala carte, I probably would have spent close to $70 on everything I had. However, if a customer buys 3 baos, the price is $13. There are other discounted SETS on the menu, which includes ramen, baos, rice bowls, specials and sides. I was only interested in the baos, and there were three different types that I was considering: Pork Belly, Korean BBQ and Carnitas.I finally ordered the carnitas bao at the register, and sat down at one of the four stools at the counter. I didn't even have to wait 5 minutes before my bao was served directly to me. The soft white fluffy bun was perfectly made - slightly sweet in flavor and spongy in texture. It was stuffed with hot and flavorful shredded carnitas (pork) meat. Even as a snack, one isn't enough. I guess next time I'll have to order baos as a set, so I can also try the pork belly and the Korean bbq beef. First of all, I'm not a huge fan of eggs, but I just had to try their Omurice... which is a popular Korean specialty, where you wrap pan-fried eggs around a bed of Fried Rice, topped with Gochujang sauce. The Ellie came out nice in photos - the Lambada was probably my favorite of the two, but not as photogenic. Rolls here were a-ok. Nothing special, maybe a step up from grocery store sushi? On a Saturday lunch time, the DR was filled with native speakers and the line was out the door. Luckily, my friend got there before me and had gotten a table so all I had to do was to order at the host/cashier prior to sitting down. This is not a leisure dining rather a high volume dine and dash vibe. +. Food is nangmyeun, Korean cold noodles which is commonly enjoyed during hot summer months. Six pieces of beer batter style fry, not tempura. Sushi was heavily sauced, which it doesn't need, unless freshness is a question. The beef bulgolgi roll was too big, like a futomaki roll. Their lunch special is also pretty good as well. I liked this place so much, we hit it 5 times in a week. Every Korean place has to have their signature thing that makes them stand out among the other Korean restaurants. They all serve the tofu soondobu, but each will have their standout banchan. For example, Jangsujang down on satellite is known for their broths and soups, but their wait time and tiny parking lot makes them intimidating to go to. A Hyang in the Nukoa plaza is known for its katsu. This place I would say is their sambang (which I never got a chance to try) and their dolsot. For some reason their hot stone bibimbap is just absolutely delicious. One, it's served on a flat iron hot plate rather than the usual stone bowl this usually comes in. highly recommend the beef option. The flavors are mild but this whole thing comes together better than other bibimbap I have had. So 5/5 for this dish. I ordered their samgyetang since I've been on a Korean Netflix binge and keep seeing it show up. this is also a must. I don't see this on the menu of some other places. A whole chicken stewed with rice, Korean ginseng, scallions, garlic, red date, and you titrate with your own salt and pepper. Very soothing. Banchan was typical- nothing that stood out to me. It was kimchi, pickled cucumber, and a couple of other things. Didn't get a chance to try their sambang which looked like meat dishes with lettuce wraps, but it seems to be their thing that I don't see in other Korean restaurants. Lunch special everyday: 10.99 which gives you a choice of spicy squid, LA ribs, pork and comes with small banchan, rice, and soup. Also throws in a whole tofu soondoubu. Atmosphere is very spacious and industrial themed. They don't have Korean music videos playing which is kind of a bummer. Has a full bar so keeps the drinks flowing. This is full service so you can have the server cook for you if you don't feel like it. Service here is great. They have AYCE for $40+ which I feel isn't that great of an option since it's not the meats I like. We usually get the combination B or C depending on amount of people with have with us. BBQ does come with cheese corn, egg soufflé, and standard variety of banchan. I love how spicy their kimchi is here. Also they have a great variety of sauces for dipping. Don't love that they charge $17 for soybean soup when it's normally a free side at most other places.Meat quality is good and better than the other chain KBBQ places. My fave is their LÀ galbi which is perfectly seasoned and tender. We tend to spend $60+ per person here. They do include gratuity for tables over 4. Overall, a solid choice for KBBQ if you're in the area."

Monica L. "I've been wanting to come here for a looooong time, but had no one to go with (jokbal can be intimidating to some people). I finally caved and bought a bossam/jokbal set to go, all for myself lol. It is honestly worth every penny; you get a TON of sides and goodies to wrap your meats with, and they're all very tasty. The bossam was saltier than I expected, but not bad--just wasn't what I was expecting. Jokbal was also very rich and full of flavor. I'm really enjoying this, even though the amount of food given may last me a week lol. Definitely bring a group and come here--it's a hidden gem that you won't regret going to."

Cindy T. "Would easily give five stars for the kimbap alone! I love the spam and shrimp tempura version. it's absolutely delicious. Super fresh. Great crunch and flavors. Could easily eat three of these on my own.My other favorite thing here is the bulgogi topokki which is rice cakes mixed with Bulgogi. A bit on the sweeter side, but super addictive and delicious. The tonkatsu is also really good. Super crispy and the sauce that it comes in is addictive.Wings here were good, but surprisingly not the star of the show.My least favorite thing here was the curry noodles. Seem like it was lacking in flavor. Gyoza was pretty standard.Service was friendly. Ambience is very casual. Definitely a great lunch spot. Will definitely be back!"
