Lee D. "Yelp check-in = 20% off, what an amazing offer, thank you!Update - Limited "good" restaurant selections within walking distance from the hotel, so we came back on day 2. BTW, some areas in downtown Atlanta are NOT safe, so pay attention to your surroundings and I do NOT suggest engaging with the people approaching you for $$$.Quality/Quantity - Spicy Sicilian Pizza - Good, mild spicy. Decent size, enough for two light eaters. I would have preferred the crust to be baked a little longer. The sauce runs through the dough making it too limp. See picture. My daughter would have preferred more dough.Veal Bolognese - Good flavors. My wife felt the pasta was undercooked. My daughter and I were okay with it. It would have been nice to have had some bread to soak up all that sauce.Tiramisu - My wife really liked this.Creature Comforts Automatic Pale Ale; Athens, Georgia - I, of course, had to wash the good food with a local beer. Day 2: Just my wife and I; my daughter had an event to attend.Pizza Amalfi - I wanted to try their signature pizza this time. It was very similar to the Spicy Sicilian Pizza. I think the biggest difference was the sweet jam, to me.Nonna's Spaghetti and Meatballs - My wife wanted a red sauce pasta, and they have limited red sauce options. The noodles were different from the spaghetti that I am accustomed to. They were like spaghetti and angel hair style noodles. Everything else was just okay, not good or bad, just plain spaghetti.I sampled both local beers today and settled for the same local Creature Comfort Automatic Pale Ale as before. Guess I am a creature of old habits. Also available - Full bar, wine, etc. Also available - Lunch and kids menu.Atmosphere - Small restaurant, but crazy busy.We were told to wait 45 minutes, but they did not text us until over an hour later. Good thing we had happy hour today; see Ray's in the City review.Your exterior sign is so faded, can I suggest replacing it?(Day 2 - Wow, guess you listened. A new sign on day two; see picture!)Walk down a narrow cool decorated hallway and up some stairs through a crowd of people waiting to get a table to leave your name and # with the hostess.Open kitchen, also known for their pizza oven.Their pasta is also made in-house; see picture.Table, booth, bar, etc. seating.Clean bathrooms; see picture.Open 7 days a week from 11:30am till 10pm or 11pm, Sundays only open for dinner.Day 2 - What a contrast to our first visit. Came early today as I did not want a late dinner before my early fight tomorrow. Almost NO customers the entire time I was here today... I do know that the local hotels had an off site event, so thousands of people left the area. Service - I totally understand that we got the last seating and could tell that our server was tired and probably done for the day. Other servers still seemed to have energy though. Had to remind our server that my beer was still sitting at the bar after 20 minutes. Had to ask him to take our order. Had to have someone get him to refill our water, etc... I did not dock this review because of him.Day 2 - Service was better. But then we got some disgusting beer sample glasses! How can both the bartender and waiter not notice? And the other glass was cracked, a huge danger to guests. The waiter gave me a new beer sample, but NOT a good start for day 2. The rest of the service was okay.I believe the manager walked by and said hi to us; a nice guy. But because it was such a slow business day today, can I suggest someone check and wash the glassware? Most of the team was just standing around talking amongst themselves.Price - $51+ probably more generous tip than deserved; GREAT value with the Yelp check-in of 20% off. Our dinner was actually less expensive than our lunch. Also less expensive than our happy hour.Day 2 - $41 + generous tip.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2016 and with your two locations."

Janet W. "My husband and I came here on an early Tuesday night before a Brave's game. It was our first time and we were delighted with the staff, quality of food, and speed of service. Our waiter, Ricky, was fast and efficient and made great recommendations. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and it was the best I have eaten in Atlanta! My husband ordered the special, butternut squash ravioli with fried lobster. We also ordered calamari for an appetizer which was tasty. They also served complimentary cubed foccaccio which I thought was an interesting touch. Next time I am back, I will try dessert! This is a lovely place for date night or an evening with family. I would recommend reservations online as it is a small, intimate restaurant."

Krystal N. "I can't wait to come back here. The beautiful high ceilings with plenty of natural lighting, the impeccable service, and the incredible food. Our server was SO accommodating and knowledgeable. She was able to make a cocktail from an old menu based on measurements of the drink from a prior visit and she nailed it. She was also very friendly and always had a smile on. It's a beautiful restaurant. It's not too posh or modern, but it almost feels like you're not in Georgia because of the European color scheme and floor to ceiling windows. The Tagliata Di Manzo (aka ribeye) was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the capers were the unexpected star of the show. They added the right amount of salt and tang to the steak. The charcuterie selection board is probably one of my favorites that I've had so far in Atlanta. Huge portions, every single meat and cheese was delicious. I really appreciated the honeycomb, honey is such a perfect complement to charcuterie but not everywhere served them together. The mustard/relish condiment was also a nice surprise - not too mustard forward, but enough acidity to go with the sweetness of the meats. the prosciutto was the softest I've ever had - in the best way. It almost melted in your mouth. I wish they served endless amounts of their fresh focaccia. It is so crispy that the outside almost shatters when you crack into it while the inside stays fluffy. It is the ideal foundation to eat with your charcuterie as well. The hamachi was okay - felt like it needed more salt in order to bring out the flavor of the fish. The patate croccanti was an excellent accompaniment for the ribeye. They had a nice funk from the cheese and they were not too crispy but still crispy enough to be the textural component of the meal. Will be coming back and would highly recommend."

I took their advice and booked a reservation. Once I arrived, they told me that they were no longer taking walk-ins. They were happy to know that I had a reservation and gave me a seat. I would not have been able to experience this venue if I did not book a reservation.I do not think this place has a private parking lot but there were plenty of free street parking. No issues parking. This venue makes sure not to over-burden their kitchen and staff. There will be open tables but they will only seat you at your reservation time. I like this. This is how a venue performs quality control. You have a much better experience when you have not been waiting on food for an hour or the kitchen has to rush. They do have outside tables for your wait. You can order a couple of drinks as you wait as well.I ordered the black spaghetti with rock shrimp, spicy sausage, and scallions. The black spaghetti does not change the taste of the spaghetti at all but it makes the dish looks cool. This dish has an amazing taste. The flavors explode in your mouth.I needed another dish before I left so I ordered the Oatmeal and Cherry skillet cookie with cherry gelato and candied pistachios. This is easily the best sweet treat I have had all year. I cannot speak more highly of this place. You have to try this place."

Bruce K. "I came here for my birthday dinner. Out of the lists of Italian restaurants, I landed on Sotto Sotto because of one specific dish. The Costoletta arlla Parmagiana. Yes, sign me up!Getting here wasn't too bad, but the parking was kind of confusing. If you're looking to park for yourself, there's a parking lot that you can park by yourself and the restaurant is right across the street. The street is off of Elizabeth St NE. So, I would definitely recommend to just park in that parking lot as it's easier than driving around and finding street parking. The restaurant doesn't validate parking, so keep that in mind. You will pay on the way out. The other option is parking valet, which is personal preference. The amount of walking in comparison is really not a huge distance.Walking in, it's a very cozy type of experience and atmosphere. The kitchen is small, they have a patio seating and also inside. There was a lot of staff when I visited. We ordered the charcuterie for starters. It was alright, I don't think it was worth the price as I think you could make a better charcuterie by buying meats and cheeses from Costco. It was just 3 tiny pieces of cheese, some mushrooms (which were the most flavorful), and a few meats. Also, the bread was limited as well, I didn't ask for more because I felt as if it would have been extra charge. For my main, as I said before, I got the Costoletta arlla Parmagiana. It's a breaded pan fried veal and then on top a tomato sauce along with some mozzarella. Yeah, if you can picture it, then you can taste it. It was good. It had flavor every bite, and it was filling. I would definitely recommend this dish if you're not looking to eat pasta. For dessert, we ordered their version of Tiramisu, the Dolce Al Mascarpone. It was alright. I think it was a bit small, and it was mostly all cream. Again, it doesn't beat a good tiramisu, but it wasn't bad. Overall, Sotto Sotto wasn't a bad experience. I enjoyed my main dish, however I think they fell flat for me when it came to the appetizer and the dessert. I did also get to try the clams that my wife was, and that was alright. I didn't have any of her pasta though so I can't say anything to that."

We sat on the patio next to the busy street and enjoyed the views during our visit.Hayley was our server and she was such a sweetheart. She was always checking in on us, made some wonderful recommendations and she was extremely patient. We ended up going with calamari, a margarita pizza w/ chicken on half for him, an espresso martini and a cold beer. We didn't have to wait long at all for our order. I'm always nervous about trying espresso martinis at new places but wow. This one was a winner. Not too much the liquor overpowering the flavor but enough that I knew it was present and potent. The calamari was just okay but I also talked so long that it may have a temperature thing with me. The pizza was great, we should have ordered a bigger one lol.I'd definitely return and check out what else they're serving up."

Kendell M. "Best Italian I have had in Atlanta up to this point. The whole experience was excellent, starting with the view on the back balcony, to the service, and then the food. Everything we experienced here was awesome and we will definitely be back.We started our meal by splitting the Caesar Salad and the Misto di Mare, which is the perfect blend of calamari, octopus, gulf shrimp, friggitello (peppers), pickled onion, and sofrito aioli). The salad was crisp and fresh and the cheese was outstanding. The Misto di Mare was provided excellent flavor and was just enough to leave you wanting more. Highly recommend getting the Misto di Mare if you are a seafood fan!For our main dishes, we got the Gnocchi Cacio e Pepe and Tagliolini. The Gnocchi is a dish with braised rabbit, local goat cheese, asparagus, and black truffle. The dish is one of my favorite Italian dishes that I have eaten, ever. It is definitely on the heavier side in terms of a meal. I could not finish after the salad and Misto. I will be getting this dish each time I return as long as it is on the menu. Do not fear the rabbit! It is tender and has a great flavor to go along with the other ingredients. The Tagliolini, on the other hand, was a very light meal. It contains mushroom ragu, truffle oil, and pecorino romano. Highly recommend this dish as well, especially if you are a fan of mushrooms. The mushroom ragu is fantastic. The service is spot on our entire visit, from the greeting at the front, to the timeliness and attention we received our entire meal. Where I grew up in San Francisco, pizzerias in my neighborhood would stretch and soon that dough to perfection. I too want to learn that phenomenal experience. This restaurant is top notch with a menu to match. The owner takes his quality ingredients along with a side of heart and soul to please your palate. Don't take this step lightly, it's trend setting and more pizzerias should embrace this concept. Better ingredients healthier food is what life evolves around. Why waste time investing in anything less from a business perspective and from a patrons expectations? My favorite is the Lemon Pepper Chicken. You get a 1/2 chicken well seasoned for less than $7. I normally order that with the mashed potatoes and gravy and a side salad. They used to offer meals but now everything is a La carte. Which is still reasonable priced. Sides are about $3. They also offer pastas like lasagna, spaghetti and ziti. The black beans and rice have no flavor. Neither does the Mac and cheese.Service is minimal. There are no waiters you place your order at the counter and choose from whatever seats are available and once your order is ready you pick it up at the counter. There are guys that come by and clear the tables after customers eat. It's super low key nothing fancy, family and kid friendly. The menu includes appetizers (like fried ravioli), salads, special features, pizzas and both italian and pasta specialties. While their dishes are around $20, the portion sizes are pretty huge and you will be guaranteed to have leftovers. Our table came with a basket of fresh garlic knots/rolls which were so yummy!Chicken Parmesan ($20): our go to item. You get two pieces of chicken that is nicely fried over a bed of spaghetti noodles with sauce on top. The meat isn't dry and there's plenty of sauce. Our favorite thing to do is to mix these noodles with the fettucine alfredo - it makes such a delicious sauce!Spaghetti with meat sauce (+ a meatball $2, total $19): classic meat sauce. What surprised me was the meat ball and how juicy and flavorful it was!Blackened alfredo pasta with shrimp ($28): we typically get the fettucine alfredo with shrimp but decided to change it up a bit and get the blackened version. It's essentially the same thing except you're paying an extra $3 for the blackened seasoning they sprinkle on top. It's good but I don't think is $3 extra worth. I would opt for the original, they give you a generous portion of shrimp and the sauce is delicious Overall, I think this place hits the spot if you're craving classic Italian dishes. This is Bellina Alimentari for me.Found at the Ponce City Market, at first glance... well, I probably wouldn't have stepped in there. I mean, I'm in a foodie heaven - why would I want to try an Italian restaurant when I'm surrounded by more exotic foods, plenty of bars, and shopping galore? At least that was my thought, but you know I was with friends and one of them insisted on eating at this lovely restaurant. Boy am I glad she convinced me!Josh was our server and he was just a delight. Whatever they're teaching that man in terms of attention and service, they have to replicate with the rest of the staff. He was so peppy and willing to help us choose our plates and drinks. If I were to go back to Atlanta, I'd definitely ask for him when returning to this restaurant.Anyway, in terms of food - we started off with their complimentary bread, of which we wound up having two orders because we were THAT hungry. Three out of four of us partook in drinks. I believe I had a Prosecco. Nothing out of the ordinary with this, but when we talk about ACTUAL food, well... we were next to the area where they make the noodles. It was an extraordinary sight to see those noodles pulled for the very first time.Obviously, we all ordered noodle dishes. How could we not given that it's an Italian restaurant and they make them on site? We ordered the polpo, lasagne, carbonara, and GA shrimp dishes. My dish was this last one, and holy moly, this is a dish I keep salivating over nearly two months later. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, the noodles were as well, and the combination of flavors was to die for. More surprising still is that the plate looked small, but as I began to eat it, more shrimp randomly appeared and it was hearty and felt like an embrace from a loved one.Shockingly some of us had space for dessert. One friend ordered a tiramisu. I meanwhile debated between a panna cotta and a cannoli. They were out of the first one, so the choice was clear: cannoli. Let me tell you that this cannoli was probably the best cannoli I've ever had and I've been to New York, Boston, and Italy. This cannoli to me may as well be my future spouse because that's the love I had for it. Heck, if we didn't have a 4-5 hour drive back home, I'd have bought a second one home, but alas... I didn't because it'd have melted. All in all, when can I go back to Atlanta and dine at Bellina Alimentari again? I haven't the foggiest clue. Buckhead Pizza opened in 2008 and aims to define an Atlanta style pizza, with several locations now across the city.Regardless which style of pizza one desires, a few things about pizza should be consistent. The quality of crust is perhaps the most important factor to consider and this is where Buckhead Pizza struggles the most. A very cardboard like consistency that is simply unpleasant and largely tasteless. It's somewhat reminiscent of old Domino's crusts back in early 2000s and while I'd hope the that Buckhead Pizza is less synthetic than the big chains, the bottom line is that the recipe needs a lot of work. The rest of ingredients were fairly as expected, but pepperoni was minimal and even the cheese does not taste great, with odd artificial aftertaste. All around, Buckhead Pizza is a disappointment on the pizza quality itself on a delivery experience. Perhaps dining in is better."

This restaurant is walking distance from the Fox Theater where apparently a lot of customers had tickets to see th 8pm stage production of Funny Girl. The restaurant largely emptied out all at once just as we took our seats. The dining room is intimate and modern but also warm and inviting. We had a table in the center of the room which I don't usually live but because of the warmth of the room it worked out well. The menu is essentially a long list of small and unusual dishes. It needs interpretation and suggestions from the wait staff. Our server, Emily, was friendly and knowledgeable. With her help we started with bread, salad, bursts, and smoked scallops. They ere all good though the scallops were the standout. The are presented with a domed lid that is removed to allow a puff of smoke to escape off the dish- amazing aromas. For dinner we had the snapper wrapped in squash, Capatelli with pork ragu and prawns, ravioli, and both of the side vegetables- okra and mushrooms. Emily helped us choose a bottle of wine.Also- I mentioned the ice cream sandwich. We also had the yummy yogurt cake."

Jen L. "We found this restaurant on Yelp since it has such amazing reviews!! The reviews don't lie!! This restaurant is as amazing as it sounds. We started with complimentary bread which was served hot and soft. Right then I knew our experience would be a positive one! Everyone at our table of 6 enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Lasagna and it was a perfect portion of deliciousness. I would highly recommend it! The dishes here are a bit more expensive then other Italian restaurants but the quality of the food and complimentary bread make up for it. The restaurant is also very modern looking. They truly care about making your dining experience special. I highly recommend trying this restaurant! Our server was super sweet and made the toddlers of our table a priority."

Kevin W. "I loved my visit. Food is great and the service is very pleasant. This place is in a strip mall and can be seen from traffic. This is an Italian restaurant that is pretty authentic. I ordered the Taglierini norcina. The meal is very filling and tasty. I believe it is angel hair pasta with mild sausage and alfredo sauce. The bread with olive oil is very decent. The meal was too big to eat in one sitting. I had to get a take home container."

Talesha C. "We came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Our waiter was great and very attentive. She was also very helpful in helping my future mother-in-law decide on a dish since she wasn't very familiar with Italian food. It was pretty quiet in the restaurant, only us and another table were inside while there were about 4 different groups on the patio. The Paglia E Fieno was everything I needed today; the Parmesan, the tagliolini, wild mushrooms and truffle cream sauce were a perfect blend. I didn't need to add any salt or pepper to the dish after I'd stayed eating. This is definitely my favorite item on the menu right now. I did taste a bit of my partners meal, which was the branzino and it was good. I didn't care for the asparagus, because though it was perfectly cooked, it was not seasoned at all."

Kristen B. "Really like this place! Anytime I visit my mom for lunch we go here! ***LOCATION***Plenty of free parking since it is OTP. The inside is large with plenty of seating. ***STAFF***Always friendly!***FOOD***I really like their food. It's like Olive Garden, not necessarily home made authentic pasta but American Italian! It is still very good and especially for the price! Their bread is delicious!! I get the eggplant parm and it's always 10/10. The eggplant is cooked perfectly and just crunch with the parm and soft inside. ***PRICE***The prices are reasonable! I think we were 7-8 to eat lunch and the grand total was 109$ with tip. We each had salad and bread as well as our very plentiful entrees***CONCLUSION***Definitely a solid place to go for a good price, good food and portions that could be two meals!"
