"The owners are really cool, mom and pops business..The smell of bbq smoke will draw you in and the taste will have you coming back for sure..."
"I had a bad craving for sweet and sour shrimp, and theirs is solid. The serving is generous and the shrimp is fried to a crispy brown. But they were missing my sweet and sour sauce, so I really only came home with fried shrimp and rice. :(((I also ordered the lo mein daily special, which looks tasty as well. However, they left out the spring roll that was supposed to come with it. :(I didn't want to drive all the way back to get my missing items and come home to cold food. Oh well. Person at the front desk was super nice and I will definitely come back again. I only advise you to check your order before leaving! (I'm notoriously bad about checking my order)"
"They would have more stars if they had more seating! There's only three booths and I have a family of 7. The peach cobbler was also all mushy. No real crust. Mac was bomb! Peach drink is a must. They were also out of Strawberry shortcake. The order takers were sweet and patient as they didn't rush our large order. Also, I was not a fan of the rib tips. Tasted like stew pieces in bbq sauce lol. But the smothered pork chop and fried chicken were tasty. Everything was also savory and seemed to be fresh!"
"The food, is a 10. Excellent. The only reason that I don't give them 5 stars is because I attempted to place a catering order, and never heard back regarding my inquiry. However, we regularly order and pick up food from this place for lunch. The jerk turkey wings are IT. There aren't a lot of restaurants that I've been to, that can make really good turkey wings. I'm a pro at roasting them, but cooking them is an all day affair for me. And I'm certainly not able to successfully jerk them. Yet.However, Creole Cuisine gets it right. Every time . Their lamb chops are also delicious. We like to get the rice as our side item. I could eat it by itself as a meal.I love having this business in the southwest Atlanta community, and will continue to support them. I understand that staffing is likely a challenge (and the cause for some communication lapses) but I hope that they are able to overcome that challenge, and are able to continue to grow- and one day will be able to promptly respond to catering inquiries :-)"
"My friends and I came here after finishing our dinner nearby. There were 8 flavors of ice cream to pick from and plenty of toppings to include. Between the bourbon caramel and cappuccino flavors, I liked the flavor and texture of the bourbon one more as I found the cappuccino to be a bit gritty and not very prominent in taste. We saw they have huge uno cards (peep the pic) so we made ourselves comfortable and had a fun time. Staff were patient and kind serving our large group of 10 and seemed to have no issue with us rearranging (but returning) the layout of their space for a bit. I would come again to try more of their flavors and experiment with their toppings!"
"By George, a restaurant named after the building architects, sits in the Candler Hotel, an iconic building on Peachtree in Downtown Atlanta. I stayed in the hotel so trying the restaurant is a must. The Candler building was built by Asa Candler, the Coca Cola founder. DCandler commissioned two architects, George Stewart and George E. Murphy to design the building. Both George. The ambience is beaux arts with tall marble pillars and crystal chandeliers. Everything is accented in gold. The food is contemporary American. I enjoyed the arugula salad with salmon. It was delicious. A perfect lunch. I also had the Asa old fashioned and the cheese plate later on that day. This spot boasts an extensive wine list and both a specialty cocktail and traditional cocktail list. Service was all fantastic."

I found this spot while visiting Conyers. GiGi's had great reviews so I was extremely excited to try it out. So I'm always gonna start off with the good first.I loved the restaurant's decor and design, location also has plenty of parking. The customer service was amazing. Everyone was warm and friendly.Gigi's also has a kiosk in the restaurant where you could order your food from if the line is too, I thought that was pretty cool as well. But that's where the good ends. The food was not good at all. I didn't like not one thing on my plate. I ordered pork chops, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Banana pudding as well. Everything looked like it was gonna be delicious but unfortunately, it wasn't. The banana pudding seemed store-bought.So you can imagine how pissed I was after paying an arm and leg for the food. Also, the bathroom was disgusting. I know that doesn't have anything to do with the food, but if you don't keep the bathroom clean that guest can actually see how does the kitchen look? and I got there about 30 mins after they opened so it had to still be dirty from another day. Everybody's taste buds are different so you may love GiGi's but I won't be returning.

Ep. 81 of AntlantaEats Chef Vera is originally from Memphis (the obvious) and has been serving the Atlanta market for several years. Her location is currently in a shared kitchen (800 Forrest St NW).I went and got myself the Beef Brisket. It was chopped in pieces but folks...It didnt make a difference in taste! Fresh and flavorful! A bun is served in case you wanna make it a sandwich..the mac & cheese and Collard greens were lovely but here's MY HIGHLIGHT: The Banana Pudding!! I didn't take the best pic but my gawd I gotta eat that again. Here's my experience: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQri3etgDYb/?utm_medium=copy_link

Slightly off the beaten path of Buford Highway's normal line up you'll find this hidden gem in the Winters Chapel area . For a quick pick up and go this place is great! The owners ..Patrick and Sharon are absolutely delightful and super welcoming. The building itself stands out amongst the older places and the moment you talk to them you sense how much they want to be apart of the community which I love . Don't feel like cooking ? In the mood for Chinese that tastes great and doesn't break the bank ? Asian Fusion Cafe is the place to go . On a personal note I would love to see a low sugar healthy beverage option offered like kombucha but we will see .Fingers crossed they will add Doraville's own Lupa's brewed canned kombucha as a beverage choice .

Ordered via Uber eats. This is A decent place for soul food. To me the meatloaf is my favorite. The neat doesn't have a funny smell and doesn't taste funny. Sides: I've had the cornbread dressing (ok kinda dry not thanksgiving grade but ok if u have a taste for dressing), candied yams (dry and not sweet at all. Funny consistency), potato salad (not the best definitely doesn't taste like mine)I would try other items from this restaurant. It's a decent place to eat if you're in the mood for soul food.

Ep. 103 of AntlantaEats This spot has been on my radar for months! Opened Summer 2021, today I finally stopped thru. What caught my attention is they OVER HERE SERVING OXTAIL & SALMON EGGROLLS! Sheesh! When I say the hype is real ! No disappoint on my end.I haven't even mentioned the Haitian Spaghetti yet! Plate is a great size (leftovers please!) Inside was flavorful mixed. I loved the seasoning on the shrimp & the sausage. Bonus + on adding the boiled egg.Note: They get very busy especially during the weekends so be patient or plan to arrive during the weekday

By far one of the best dessert experiences I've ever had in ATL, Service is over the top, and the quality is too. The ambiance should be on a cereal box or commercial, located in a great area to dine and come in here and eat dessert you won't be dissatisfied at all.

"I really cant wait to explore Atlanta and the rest of these resturants trying all types of good food"
"Great food at City BBQ! My review is based on catering order for 20 people. They did a great job with the food and set up. We had brisket, chicken, baked beans, green beans, corn bread, and cookies. See pic. Nice layout on plastic sheet with each item labeled including the three different types of sauces. The food. My choice was sandwich with brisket, chicken, and spicy BBQ sauce. With side of green beans and baked beans. Very tasty. All the other folks enjoyed their food and more than enough to go around. My next task is to visit the restaurant which is conveniently located in large shopping complex with lots of free parking. Got to try the ribs too. Enjoy!"
"This BBQ is TOP tier. I had such a great experience visiting here with my cousin. The food is fresh and made to order so don't come in a rush. Good things come to those who wait :). While I was there for the ribs and they were amazing, the smoked pork chop was a surprise hit for me. It was so good and flavorful. We tried everything without sauce first but the BBQ sauces were also really good. The baked beans are also a must have. They were amazing. The Mac and cheese we could've done without but all the other sides we had we enjoyed. We sat and ate in the outdoor seating area which was nice on a warm day. I will definitely be back when I'm in Atlanta again."
"Great little lunch spot inside the ADAC. Service was efficient, good options on the menu, and tasty food. The logistics can be tricky, but follow the signs to the cafe and you will find in the back of the building on the second floor. The decor is simple but cozy. Lunch options are soups, sandwiches, and sides. Tried the turkey burger and the egg salad sandwiches, with the cajun mac and cheese, and quinoa salad as sides. If you are in the area, give it a try."
"Mahana Fresh is a beach themed Bowl place. It works like any other bowl, fast-casual place. You walk in, you add ingredients to your bowl, you pay, and you enjoy. You can build your own bowls or go with one of their signature bowls, so you won't have to worry about what to put in your bowl.Mahana fresh is all about fresh ingredients, and they cater to all your dietary needs: gluten free, vegetarian, keto, etc. If you're limiting yourself to whatever diet, I'm sure Mahana Fresh can accommodate.Besides bowls, they have wraps, soups, and mac& cheese. I haven't tried those. But the Mac & Cheese are bowls with mac&cheese as a base. It looked interesting. It seems like the Mac & Cheese is gluten free, so they must use some non-gluten macaroni.Their bowls are delicious. They don't look like much. The meats look overcooked, but that's an illusion. They're actually perfectly cooked and juicy. I'm guessing they sous-vide it or something to get it that perfectly cooked. They're also not afraid to add some char/color to the vegetables. They cook them with a bit of char, which I like. The sauces give the entire bowl a good flavor. I like them. The place is no-frills. The bowls are no-frills. You're not gonna get a fancy looking bowl. But they taste fresh, healthy, and delicious. Their prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend them."
"Loved - Loved - Loved - Loved - Loved - Loved Fried Chicken w/Jerk Sauce: Jerk Sauce is definitely spicy. Fried chicken is hot juicy and flavorful. Thigh pieces and drumsticksPeas and Rice: fluffy and flavorful DJ & Caribbean Kickback vibe on Wednesday late night - doesn't close until 2am DISLIKED ; Disliked ; Disliked ; Disliked ; Disliked They didn't put the jerk sauce on the side, even though we asked, and they repeated and confirmed it. I love the sauce but too much is too spicy for me. :-( -- however the sauce is delicious, FYI."
"I checked out Grilldabeast last night at the Atlanta Food Truck Park on Howell Mill Rd. (http://www.yelp.com/events/atlanta-atlanta-food-truck-park-uye-part-2). Grilldabeast is, I assume, a play on the word wildebeest. I asked one of the owners what theme his food truck has and he explained to me it's street food favorites "with a twist." I believe it's a fairly new addition to the ATL food truck scene. No more than a month or two old.The small truck is painted all black. The menu consisted of an Avocado BLT, Chicken Shawarma, Peachy Pork (pork loin BBQ sandwich), and Smoke-Fried Wings (mango Thai chili glaze, avocado ranch). Sides included a Panko Avocado basket, Smoked Tomato Dill Hummus, Chips, and Slaw. Mains were about $7-8 each and sides $5 and less. Drinks (mint iced tea and bottled water) were $2.I tried the Chicken Shawarma ($8) plus a mint iced tea ($2). Shawarmas are Middle Eastern sandwiches or wraps that contain meat, typically off of a spit, along with a variety of garnishes such as tabbouleh salad, tomatoes, cumcumbers, etc. Grillabeast's Chicken Shawarma is huge. It's served open-faced, so it's kind of like eating a giant soft taco. The Chicken Shawarma contains pieces of marinated char-grilled chicken breast, tzatziki (Greek yogurt sauce), Mediterranean salsa (tomatoes, cucumber), lettuce, and feta cheese all inside pita bread. Overall, not bad. It was certainly filling and the ingredients were fresh enough. If anything, I thought the wrap could have used more tzatziki sauce because I love that stuff -- it's minty and refreshing, but I can see why they don't add more sauce as the wrap would get quite messy to eat. The shawarma came with a side of house-made chips, also not bad. They were thin and more on the soft rather than crispy side.Mint iced tea was pretty simple. Not much sugar added if any. $2 for one Styrofoam cupful may be asking a tad too much, but whatever.Staff was very nice and my food, which was made-to-order, came out fast. Credit cards are accepted, though I'm not sure if there's a minimum."
"Visited on a nice spring evening and sat outside and enjoyed our meal. They have a wonderful bbq menu with a mix of Tex Mex. After ordering drinks we ordered nacho appetizer and the plantains. The nachos were great and all five of us cleared the platter. The plantains were very good. The table ordered pulled pork, ribs, pork sandwich, and fantastic sides. Our waiter said his favorite is the Brunswick stew and a couple of us ordered and were very happy we took his advice. The service was great and our waiter couldn't have been better. Great meal!"
"We stumbled upon this place after realizing the nearby donut shop was closed. So glad we found it! The sandwiches are loaded with meat and toppings, flavorful, saucy, so good. The chips are solid as well. The woman putting our meal together was kind and friendly. We've already returned for seconds."
"Small parking lot in the front and shared parking lot in the back. The bar is huge and you can sit inside or outside. I heard that this building use to be a Blockbuster video store so that is why VHS tapes are decorated on the walls.Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.I ordered the $6 pitcher of beer. This time the two rotating options were a light Peach beer and a Mango IPA. The light Peach beer tasted similar to all light beers with a slight Peach aftertaste. The Mango IPA was sweet and had a great taste throughout.I got a Bruschetta boar. I tried both Bruschetta Board options. It was the Mountain berry, French onion, Salami and pesto, and Salmon and pesto. I prefer the Mountain berry over the French onion for the July battle of the bruschetta but I would be happy with either."
"I love it here and I have been too many times to count. Everything is great ! Food, wine, staff, ambiance .. all 10/10Free parking validation"
"Now! Before I give you my full review, allow me to say, I LOVE BARBEQUE!!!!!During my friend's day we decided to try a new restaurant. Upon executing a search on Yelp we decided to try out Ray's. Ray's sits in a huge strip mall. When you pull in the restaurant is to the far right hand side. Don't do what I did and go to the left. LoL! Walking up to Ray's you realize it is hugeeeee. There are two entrances. One brings you into the dining side and one brings you to the order area. Regardless of which door you walk in it's all connected... As I got to the register, the man in front of me told the cashier "let me get my usual!" This was a great sign for me as it shows that he is a repeat customer. To say I was excited is an understatement. LoL!Taking a moment to take in the menu and the assortment of options I decided on the Ribs Dinner with One Side. After placing our order we took a seat, not before taking pictures with the Ray's sign so I could let everyone know I was here. LoL!!!!The wait wasn't too long as before I knew it the waitress called my name and was bringing the order to the table. Looking at the plate I was pleased with the presentation and serving size. I asked for my sauce on the side as I like to see how the ribs taste without sauce first. The Ribs:Moist. Meaty. Well seasoned. Perfectly made. Good quality. Very filling. Overall 10/10. The Sauce: (I ordered the Mild) Flavorful. Not "bottled." Thick. Perfect hint of sweet to pair with the natural salt of the pork. Overall 10/10. The Yams:The yams weren't bad. You could taste the "canned" flavor, however, you could also taste the added flavorings that are presented to give the taste of homemade. Overall 6/10. My experience at Ray's was absolutely enjoyable. The ribs alone provide for a flavor filled, stomach pleasing experience that makes you want to come back. **Oh yeah, I didn't get to try the mini sweet potato pie, however, it was calling my name. I'll be getting it next time. HaHa!!"
"We have recently enjoyed a couple of meals at Ruchi and we have absolutely loved the food. We have gone on recommendations of the staff and have not been disappointed by anything that we have tried. The service is friendly, helpful, and attentive and all our many questions were helpfully answered. The interior is small, seating maybe 40 people, but it's comfortable and not crowded. From the outside it looks nothing special, but it's definitely worth the trip inside."
"I came here on Thursday around 6pm. I ordered the fried chicken plate with Mac and cheese and cabbage, and the baked chicken plate with greens and dressing. Both chicken plates were good but it was the end of the day for them and you could tell the food had been sitting out. The Mac and cheese was just ok. It's definitely homemade the black people way just wasn't flavorful enough to me. The cabbage was cool the greens were more like mustard/turnip greens with the small potatoes. Not a traditional with smoked meat, which is a nice options for those looking for no meat greens. The dressing was pretty good too, and I also think was meatless. Everything was lightly seasoned, not over salted but still had some flavor. It is cafeteria style like most takeout soul food restaurants. The food is already prepared and you choose from what's available. They do have some made to order options like the fried fish. There are a few tables to sit down and eat at and there was a nice mix of people sitting and taking food to go.It's a solid option for soul food on the Southside if you don't feel like going to riverdale. I'd try them again a little earlier in the day when the food is fresh."
