"I stopped in to Mary Mac's on the recommendation of a friend and it did not disappoint! It is honestly just a simple restaurant with delicious home cooked southern food. As I was by myself, I hopped in a seat at the bar and was provided with a drink immediately. I was then able to quickly order a chicken n dumplings meal with bread, sweet potatoes, and broccoli casserole. Even with a sweet tea added in, my final bill was barely $20.00! Let's just say that I tipped generously on the bill, as I also received top notch service. This meal was exactly what I needed as I had a long drive home ahead of me. And I was incredibly grateful to not have to overspend on my last dinner in Atlanta."
"This place is legit! I was killing some time downtown and stopped by The Vortex. The inside was dark and decorated with all sorts of crazy memorabilia. I actually decided to sit outside, so I could people watch. If you sit outside, just be warned that your service might be a bit slower. As for food, their menu looked inside. They had a ton of interesting burger options, but I went for the 50/50 Chili (half beef, half turkey). The chili had a nice flavor to it and it came with some kind of cornbread on the side. Solid spot!"
Topped with a scoop of mind-expanding blue cheese, sauted mushrooms, and bacon. Youll see god. (ltop)

"If you are in town and/or want to try something totally different? This place is for you. First off, don't think you are going to casually walk in without a reservation. Be sure to have reservations or you will not be seated at all! 8:15pm reservations on a Saturday night we were seated a few minutes after, shared long table for two we sat right across from each other. The server handed us a paper menu and explained the way this place works. Allow me to break it down: There are anywhere between five and seven (+/-) talented chefs cooking in plain view and offer a menu of shared items. The list of about 10 items or so will come out randomly, brought out by the chef who made it and you get to decide whether you want it or not. The catch - if you decide to pass on it there is no guarantee it will come back again. So, review the menu and when it comes your way you have an idea if you want it . Anxiety level? 10 at first! We said YES to the first three dishes but after that we got the hang of it. Don't like it after you accepted it? You're stuck with it, buddy. Drinks? Cocktail menu is broken down into two - the ones they have at the bar and the ones they prepare table side. Yes, table side - pretty cool. There's a video i posted. Take a look! The menu changes either daily / weekly but here's my ultimate lowdown. Food: Talented chefs. The creation on the plate makes you think you're on a TV show (except you're paying for it). The flavors primarily were on point and the presentation was without fail. The tableside cocktail drinks were definitely a show but felt it was lacking on the alcohol level. Final thoughts: Great place for something DIFFERENT. Who knows, you may have just stumbled on the next greatest chef. The concept is like something we've never been part of. Food was good overall, even the ones we passed on looked appealing but we can't eat EVERYTHING!The service? For being this busy was top notch. Very attentive and making sure we were good. 5 Stars. You'll have a great time if you are open-minded. Just give it a try. Oh - last thing. Crab Stuffed Chicken Wings. HOW? You'll have to go to find out."
"Cute little spot. They offer a wide variety of coffees and teas. We came for breakfast, and it was pretty good. The side of chicken sausage was great. French toast had large portion sizes. Service was friendly."
"We had a large team event here and were able to try a bunch of appetizers, have a plated dinner and also enjoy a dessert. The appetizers were delicious but it take a long time for them to come out. Our servers were fantastic though and kept us up to date on delays and such. The overall ambiance was nice but also not anything exceptional. I had the trout for dinner and it was very over cooked but also had taken so long to come out that I wasn't hungry anymore. The green beans paired with it on the other hand were fantastic. Overall, this was a good experience and I'd be up for visiting again!"
"26 Thai hits all the good feels for our Thai food craving! We visited for an early dinner and it was still pretty busy.Starting off with the spring rolls for $12, which comes with 3 rolls and a sweet chili sauce. They were good but nothing special. The Khao Soi is what stole the show for $21. You can choose between vegetables, chicken or crispy tofu. They also give the option for meat or shrimp. The dish was excellent and quite a large portion to share! I love the regular noodles with the crispy on top. All the flavors of sprouts, cilantro, red onion and lime gave it a nice flavor. That curry sauce was so yum, we fished it all up.Service was quick and pleasant. The restaurant has a lot of cute seating. They even have little lamps if you're into taking food pics. Overall 5 stars experience for the food!"
"I was PLEASANTLY surprised with the food here! The vibe is def day party brunch. The music is hip hop and R&B.We sat off to the side at a table. There were groups celebrating birthdays. Our servicer was super sweet and brought our food out quickly. It did take a while for the drinks and the hookah my friends ordered never came.I ordered the red waffle and chicken. It was delicious. Chicken was flavorful and cooked well. Waffle had a tasty glaze. I also ordered the Gouda grits and braised collared greens. The greens were great! A little sweeter than im used to but still cooked well. The grits were good but needed extra cheese."
"What a beautiful restaurant. You arrive via elevator (stairs, if you'd like) and I felt like I was being led into a little slice of Atlanta paradise. We had a reso and I accidentally had made it for a patio table but it was hot, so I asked if we could sit inside instead. Believe me, every inch of me yearned to be out on that patio and I can only imagine how sublime it would be on a less brutal day.Inside is spacious with soaring ceilings and wood accents everywhere. Atlanta is one of those cities that boasts incredibly huge restaurants, a nice surprise for someone used to restaurants in NYC and New Orleans. Therefore, ideal for groups, but also not bad for couples on a date night. The acoustics aren't terrible so you can hear each other (when did I become old?)They have two kinds of sangria, red and rosé. I went with the red, expecting something slighly sweet and spicy. Unfortunately it was neither, a little shocking at a Spanish tapas place. It was so overwhelmingly sweet, I couldn't really recognize what I was drinking. Honestly, there's not much for vegans here. I appreciate that they note on the menu what is vegan (just the hummus) and I asked if the salad could be made vegan by leaving off the ricotta. That's literally it, which is a little disappointing in a tapas restaurant. The hummus is good, but I didn't realize it would be smothered in a chimichurri sauce which was too garlicky for me (not that it wasn't delicious but my stomach cannot tolerate a ton of garlic unfortunately). The salad is a sight to behold, overflowing with gorgeous butter leaf lettuce. There might be an entire head on there. It's lightly dressed with a shallot vinaigrette and tossed in with radish and Jerusalem cucumbers. Too much of the former and not enough of the latter. I thought I had seen that black olives were a part of the salad, but when I asked our server she said it's a puree at the bottom of the salad. It was such a tiny amount, I didn't notice so that was a little disappointing. While I wasn't in love with my food nor my sangria, I need to mention how nice the staff is here, from hostesses to our servers.Beautiful ambiance and excellent service go a long way in my book. I feel like this is a great restaurant for non vegans. I'm still perplexed about that sangria, though."
"We hosted our team building brunch on Juneteenth and decided to support a black-owned restaurant on that day. We decided on Roc South. I have been a patron since they opened and have always had a great dining experience. This time was no different. My colleagues and I enjoyed our food and the service was outstanding. Even with our large party, there was no wait on food and all the orders came out correctly. They all commented on the vibe of the restaurant and many said they would come back. Thank you to the manager who was so professional and accommodating in booking our reservation and the entire staff on that day. Again, I highly recommend dining here. Favorites: Seafood dip, Gumbo, Fried chicken and waffles, Lobster & grits (I'm sure the catfish or shrimp and grits are good too), Steak and eggs"
"A friend and I visited a month back on a weekday evening - and boy, it was busy even then. We did get seats fortunately. The place is a vibe with the dim lights and interiors. I found it pretty. We didn't want to have food - we just got beverages and desserts. I got a Mexican hot chocolate and my friend got a Cappuccino. The Mexican hot chocolate was interesting with the cinnamon and chocolate flavors. You must appreciate both to appreciate this. Also, this is a dessert in itself so be mindful while ordering. For desserts, I had ordered a Mississippi Mud pie (I believe that's what it is called - it's essentially a dense and rich chocolate cake) and my friend got the Tiramisu. My dessert ended up getting packed as is because the hot chocolate was a lot. The next day, it tasted alright. Not as decadent as I imagined it to be. The tiramisu is a guaranteed hit. The space is cozy. The price point is okay ish. There's plenty of parking in the area. I just wish they did better with their coffee and beverages. For a cafe, I expect the beverage options to be top-notch. It doesn't impress there."
"A neat perfect experience in all ways! If we had remained with just the courses this would have been a 5 star review. We tried the Fruits de Mer and I would recommend passing. The price for what is received is not worth it. Very keen seafood eater here and not all the seafood tasted fresh. Nothing had gone bad but shellfish was all fishy, and you could even taste it through the various sauces. The shrimp was the best part - tasted fresh. The lobster roll was also a disappointment - way too much bread. Now onto the good parts - everything we chose for the 4 courses was delicious. From crab fritter, to mushroom tart, to duck, prime rib..everything was perfectly created to a tee. Loved all the little deliveries from the kitchen as well throughout the meal. We definitely were stuffed by the end.Definitely recommend and would come back. The restaurant itself is also gorgeous rustic chic."
"If you're in East Cobb, Seed Kitchen & Bar is our go-to spot for lunch and dinner. I come here often because...The menu is consistently delicious. You must try the white corn grit fritters as an appetizer. I didn't order this time because there's four to a serving and I was alone. Reservations for lunch and dinner are always available. Walk-ins are also welcomed, but there's always a crowd here. The staff are incredibly efficient and friendly. Always. I have never had a bad service experience or anything close to it. The ambiance is the only thing I don't love, but it's okay. Seed is intimate, but very loud. I took a picture of my latest lunch. I picked the daily special, which includes small portions of a sandwich (pulled pork pictured), salad (this one with bacon Parmesan) and soup (butternut squash with toasted pumpkin seeds). It changes daily as the name implies. Parking is tighter with the new Marshall's, but really never a problem."

Must visit!! I called ahead to verify that they were open as many businesses were closed the last day of Hurricane Helene. The lady who answered the phone replied they "were waiting for me to get down there as everyone was bored and wanting to talk to me." She told me to put my shoes on and drive safe. Now what better invitation could I get than that. This is probably my fourth or fifth time coming to Mary Mac's. No visit to Atlanta is complete without an outing here for some delicious southern food. I was seated in the Ponce Room to the left of the main entrance. The walls of every room are lined with newspaper articles featuring the restaurant as well as pictures of famous people who have eaten at Mary Mac's. I had the pleasure of being helped by my waitress Kam. She was extremely sweet and kind. Very personable. Couldn't have asked for a better or nicer person. She asked for my name which is unusual in California but is probably normal in the south. I loved that she used my name throughout the evening. I started the with the cocktail - Mary Mac's Peach Mojito. It is strong! The Bacardi was a good complement to the peach nectar which got stuck in the straw so you will probably need a larger one. For my second cocktail, I went with the Georgia Peach Martini. Holy moly it is fire. It is sweet and a little too sugary but has lots of booze. Beware for those who are faint of heart. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with broccoli soufflé and macaroni and cheese. The portion of the chicken is huge. The chicken is moist and the coating is crispy. It is served with a great white pepper gravy. As a lover of broccoli, I had to get the broccoli soufflé and it is fantastic. I think it has a bread crumb topping. The macaroni and cheese was fine but I was underwhelmed. For dessert, I went with the peach cobbler is bordering on hot so be careful. If you are not careful, you will burn your mouth. Blow on it. It was essentially apple pie but with peaches. It has large slices of peaches with cut outs of pie crust. It was okay. I expected more. Fantastic music playing in the back - R&B and Soul - Earth, Wind & Fire, One Way, Rick James, Luther Vandross, Donna Summer. I wanted to get up and start a dance party in the middle of the restaurant. If you are in Atlanta, you have to come here. Be ready for a great meal and time!

The second time here, but my first review. I first came here in 2019. It still looks like I remember it. It's a small restaurant in the mid-town area. We actually came here early in the day. It was completely empty and quiet. We didn't order any food, just sat at the bar and had some beer. I had the Apple Cobbler. Their beer sizes are huge. I ordered the small, and the beer looked like a large. The bartenders were friendly. The restrooms and restaurant were clean (since it was early, I'm sure, lol). You'll love the atmosphere.

Really happening place for happy hour - the drinks are good and the happy hour foods are delicious! I really liked that they have QR codes so you can pay whenever. The vibe is different depending on if you're sitting in the bar area or the hotel area. Service was good too although it seems like only certain areas of the restaurant are available for the happy hour menu sometimes (it was fine that night I went but the waitress was very confused because usually it's only in the bar part)

Okay, this was a spontaneous trip with my cousin and when I say I'm SO GLAD we went. This is a 5 Star experience okay! The moment we were seated, the waiter greeted us by speaking a Thai welcome, then filled our glasses and gave us some delicious recommendations. We ended up getting the Chicken Satay and Fried tofu as appetizers and let me just say, DELICIOUS! The only thing "negative" I want to mention is everything is made fresh so be prepared to wait a bit for your dishes, but with the right company this isn't too bad at all! Our entrees were nice large portions, seasoned amazingly and just so YUM! (Rama chicken and Grandma's curry). The right amount of spice too! And of course we had to get something from their dessert menu too. Everything was reasonably priced for the area. A 3-course meal cost us about $98 total which isn't bad at all, especially for the QUALITY of everything! The restaurant itself looks so warm and welcoming on the inside. Very modern and spacious (on a Wednesday afternoon lol) perfect for a date night or dinner with family/friends.Will definitely be returning!

BQE is a cute little spot that when first driving by appears hidden in my opinion because the side is painted with a bright yellow advertisement.... That is what stands out not the name. The service is great. 10 out of 10. Id give the service 5 stars if I could. The service helped bump this review from 2 to 3 stars.BQE was recommend to me by a local and I do not know why. I ordered the 24 hour chicken. Now on the menu it doesn't make mention that you will get chicken wings so I expected something a little different than 4 chicken wings. Had the menu said 24 hour chicken wings I wouldn't have ordered it! So I was disappointed, to say the least when it came out. The menu says substitutions only so I asked if I could substitute the sweet potato puree with Mac and cheese. I was told I could sub with any side except Mac and cheese. I wasn't interested in other sides, so she doubled my greens (which was fine) and I paid for the Mac and cheese. The chicken wings were dry INSIDE AND OUT and had almost no seasoning. I was having to take a drink of water with every bite just to make it through. Did I eat them, absolutely, I was starving and you can't get refunds but they were not good. The greens had a very strong vinegar taste. I realize vinegar is part of the prep but in all the greens I've had I don't ever taste it and especially not to this degree. They almost tasted pickled. The Mac and cheese... don't do it! Dry, no seasoning (like not even salt) and the only cheese you will get is on top. I ordered water and she told me they only had bottled. I should've realized there was a price and I didn't... $4.And as usually with these Atlanta spots that aren't great there is an automatic 20% service charge. A localFriend told me to never go to the places with the service charge because they are never good and that's why they add it because otherwise, servers don't get tipped because the food is bad. I would've tipped her on my own, she wasn't the issue.Food- 1 star Service- 5 stars Should you go? Nah

I absolutely love this place. It's been a minute and the service never disappoints. It was a beautiful night in the A so sitting inside was not an option. The patio had a buzz of people that were happy to be able to dine outside and not be miserably hot.The food was fresh and the Brussel sprouts were a win.Parking is easy and validated, which is saying a lot for Buckhead.Until next time!

"This is a fun spot! Perfect for brunch or celebrations. I went on a Sunday just a little after 2 PM and there was a live DJ so the vibes were in full effect. This restaurant also has hookah so I would not suggest for a little children or babies. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. The menu is pretty salad and the food is delicious. Beware that they do sell a lot of things as the day goes on. It took a while for our food to come out, but our waitress was the best. She was so sweet and gave us a drink on the house."
"This is a nice Tex-Mex spot they have a wide variety of burritos, and some unique options of jerk tofu with pineapple salsa and chicken with Thai peanut sauce. They have an extensive taco selection, and refreshing margaritas. Our waiter was accommodating and friendly. This is a great spot for casual dining with family or friends."
"I was thrilled to hear that Local Three was still around since my initial visit around 10 years ago. I was even more excited about the fact that they were still doing their unique brunch buffet in which patrons could walk through the kitchen and just pull small plates off the pass. It was such a fun experience that I really wanted to revisit. The restaurant was as I remembered it - sleek and rustic with a real Southern vibe. The service was friendly and engaging. However, I spent little time focusing on the staff or décor, because I could not wait to get into the kitchen and grab some food. There were just so many items, all broken into "Starter", "Breakfast", and "Lunch" portions of the menu. A few of my favorites were the Smoked Salmon Toast, Buttermilk Biscuits with Peach Jam, Patatas Bravas, Shrimp and Grits, Chilaquiles, and Collard Greens. After stuffing ourselves on several plates from the kitchen, we saved room to try some tarts off a dessert table that was located next to the host stand. The small, delicious bites were all we could handle by that point, but they were still much appreciated. The brunch buffet at Local Three was really like no other in the way the food was acquired by the diners and in the gourmet quality of the menu items. I highly recommend this experience!"
"Great little casual spot in downtown Alpharetta located in what was once (or so I'm told) a greenhouse for the residence. This is becoming a regular spot for us. Limited reservations available. I imagine it can get very busy since it's such a small place. This is 100% a place to dine if you enjoy New Orleans Cajun style. Ambiance : Super casual dining inside or patio with the most flavorful Cajun menu. Service : we have been there a few times and servers are always excellent with very good suggestions. The crab dip is hard to pass up. It's a small portion so order a second appetizer or the Crawfish Mac and Cheese to share. We have tried and loved several fish entrees, jambalaya, blackened fish tacos, shrimp poboy, crab poboy, crab dip, Crawfish Mac & Cheese, Red Beans and Rice, gumbo, pecan pie, bread pudding."
"I've walked past this establishment a number of times, and finally decided to drop in for happy hour. Best decision ever. The vibe inside the restaurant is super stylish. You can tell they took time to develop the aesthetics.Bree and Elia(sp?) took care of the sinks and service for the evening. Both of them were excellent bartenders and gave stellar recommendations. On top of that, Bree was nice enough to add me to the rewards program. I had (2) of the best old fashioned I've had in some time, a dirty martini, and a Sazerac served up at my request. All of which were sensational. For my food choices, I elected for the half dozen happy hour oysters, a soft shell crab bao, and a blackened salmon taco. The mignonette for my oysters was really tasty. The bite on it was tart and tasty. The bao was delicate and packed with flavor. The blackened salmon was out of this world. I'm coming back today"
"I've visited Park Bar off and on over the years and now that I'm going to Hawks games regularly, it has become my go-to stop to have a drink and a snack before the games. I love the 3-in-1 drink cup, and an order of hotzarella cheese sticks. If I'm feeling fancy or a little chubbs, I'll have the Piedmont salad. I've never had a food item that was terrible, so I don't think you can go wrong. The food isn't fancy, but it's solid and you won't have any disappointing surprises. Service is fast and easy-going. Be ready to order and let them keep it moving. If you wait to go after an event, be prepared for the crowd. Park Bar is a favorite and finding a seat in the later hours won't be easy. But there will be plenty of people to start a conversation with while you wait! :-)"
"Great place. The manager and the staff are very accommodating. Food was delicious. I really enjoyed the pecan chicken and the shrimp and grits are excellent."
"I absolutely love this restaurant, no matter the season. It's possible to get same day reservations and the inside sunroom is the best option for winter months and later fall months. In the sunroom you'll find a heater by each table which add to the ambiance. My favorite go to dishes are the Lasagnette alla Vegetariana, Margherita Pizza, Vegetariana Pizza, and the Shrimp Alfredo. Every dish is always hot you can see the steam coming off your food. The Alfredo is creamy, the shrimp are cooked to perfection no where have I found Alfredo Pasta better than Novo. Lasagnette alla vegetariana is full of flavor with the variety of vegetables you honestly you won't miss or need any meat or protein in this dish. Before you leave you must have the Gelato icecream it's original to this restaurant and it's authentic."
"Coffee.Chococchino. On the sweet side even w/o whip.Entree.CabbageTown Special w/ Chicken Sausage."
"They took off the mandatory tips! Love the pad Thai here, it's so saucy and flavorfulGus at the bar is 10/10Also, please get on Open Table!"
"Fun spot to hang out with a group of friends (or colleagues, in my case). It's a upscale bowling alley with cocktails and food and other games.I came on a Thursday evening as part of a company team building event. We booked out a couple lanes and had a blast. The door is a bit hard to find, as the sign is a bit small. Look for a P&P sign around where the Google Maps location is.Most of their cocktails are very affordable and range from $10-$12. I tried a couple of their drinks, including the Pin's Cup, Bee's Knees, and a classic margarita, and everything was good. The Bee's Knees was probably my favorite. We also ordered a bunch of snacks to share, including tacos, hummus and pita, fries, chips and salsa, etc., and everything was pretty good.I'm not a huge bowler, so I appreciated that they have other games such as bocce ball, shuffleboard, skeetball, giant jenga, etc. After one round of bowling, I wandered around the rest of the space and enjoyed some of the other games."
"El Super Pan is located on the first floor of the Ponce City Market. The Latin sounds and tropical vibe drew me in. The offerings were enticing: Cuban style sandwiches, bowls, empanadas, and desserts. I had the Olive Sofrito Chicken Sandwich ($15) and devoured it! The chicken was juicy, tender and pulled, the bread was thin, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, the veggies were fresh and the chimichurri sauce tied it all together. The meat, bread and veggie ratio couldn't have been better!Sandwiches come with a side and I opted for the sweet plantains, which was also delicious. I washed my lunch down with a cup of Cava ($11) and that was a memorable first meal I had in Atlanta!"
"After getting out of church, we wanted something that had a nice menu selection that would please all of us. Furthermore, yesterday was the perfect day for a patio setting and all roads led to Fontaine's Oyster House. Parking was a breeze as they have Valet parking behind the building. Once I parked I walked around and headed on in. The ambiance was very casual and upbeat. The temperature of the lighting was dim to give a mild tone to the overall feel, however, the natural light from the front windows and patio gave ample lighting. We decided to sit on the back patio to enjoy the weather being that it wasn't too hot or too cold. Upon taking a look at the menu, I was excited at all the finger options. I decided to get the Grouper Fingers with Tater Tots and a Sweet Tea! Sweet Tea - Fresh, Perfectly Sweet, Refreshing, and absolutely a must try for my sweet tea lovers. Grouper Fingers - Golden Battered, Crunchy on the outside, moist and meaty on the inside. Well seasoned, great portion size, good quality of grouper. Tater Tots - One Word, AMAZING. Perfectly deep fried, not greasy, seasoned to perfection, and paired very well with the grouper. The tarter sauce tasted homemade and was very good. It paired perfectly with the batter of the Grouper as well as the Tater Tots! Oh yes. This was a great lunch. The service provided by Reece was amazing. He was all smiles and ensured our cups were filled and the table had everything we needed. Overall, Fontaine's Oyster House was a great experience and I will be back to try more items on the menu."
"I'd been anticipating coming here for a while, but in all honesty it didn't live up to the hype. Many influencers and top Atlanta "foodies " rave about this restaurant. It's located in the Buckhead Village District. Valet parking is available. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the decor is simply stunning. It's described as an upscale French-Vietnamese restaurant. I made reservations prior for lunch and was seated quickly. My server greeted me promptly. I ordered the French Kiss for my cocktail. It consisted of rye, hibiscus herb honey, yuzu liqueur, orgeat and elderflower. It was well made and delicious. To eat, I ordered crispy shrimp and pork rolls, ribs and fried rice. The food was good, not great. The fried rice in particular lacked flavor, but I requested chili sauce which helped quite a bit.I honestly was expecting to be blown away, but this was not the case. The food was fine, but nothing outstanding. On the other hand, the customer service was excellent."
"You ever have food that just slaps? This is that place. Came across it via a Reel. I already love sandwiches in the first place, so I said sure, let's give it a go, but what I got was so much more than what I was expecting. I quite literally devoured the sandwich that's how go it was, so good that I went back the next day and got two more, and guess what? I devoured them too. First time I got the Tea Bird and the Little Havana. The Tea Bird has spicy next to it, and boy let me tell you it has got some heat! The made it like a panini, and I was a ok with that! After the first bite I had to pause because I was a little struck at the fact that a sandwich tasted so freaking good. I thought maybe someone just made it a little special, but then I destroyed it and then proceeded to take a bite of the Little Havana and boom, take me to freaking flavor town. My gf got, what I found out is called fresno onion jam, and I dipped my sandwich in it, not knowing what to expect, if the sandwich is flavor town, I don't know what plain of existence the jam took me to, but I was there! But wait, there's more, you have to absolutely have to try the chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. For $2 this cookie is huge, but the smell, texture, taste of it. Boy, I could have ate 10 cookies alone. The next day I went back and got the Hambo and Beeter sandwiches. Color me freaking shocked, but how do vegetarian sandwiches taste just as good if not better than ones with meat! They were off the chain, did I say that already? I don't care. It's been a minute since I have written a review, that's how good this place is, it forced me to write a review. I love the fact that the sandwiches are only $6. The only downside was that you cannot add meat to a sandwich. Parking is a little expensive and good luck finding a parking spot if you go on a Saturday. Best thing to do is order online, because they do not take orders over the phone, and either park and eat or run inside real quick and get your food. I really am looking forward to going back again. If their sides are anything like their sandwiches, I legit might just move to downtown Decatur for the love that I have for this place. They also have a bar, which I'm looking forward to sitting at one day. It seems like a pretty chill vibey place, and they also offer outdoor seating. VSB FTW!"
"Ordered the cheese dip as an appetizer: exceptional cheese dip.Scarlet Bean quesadilla as an entree: really good, especially with some cheese dip on it. Those were the biggest beans I've ever seen! They taste like a mix between red beans and black beans. The quesadilla tasted better day two haha.Service was friendly, we sat at the bar. The "bottom shelf" reposada tequila tasted like top shelf.Highly recommended."
"I had been warned to avoid downtown as this is not a great walking city. They were right. My company secured a block of rooms at a nearby hotel and the food selections around here were meager at best. Meehan's was one of the few solid choices and they really delivered for me. The place was packed but I grabbed a seat at the bar and the two bartenders were busting their asses all shift pulling drinks and serving food to the counter dwellers. I had a nice black n tan and a huge plate of Shepherds Pie. Both were excellent as was the service."
"We had a reservation for 5 for brunch at 11:30 am on Sunday, 7/28/24. Sean was our waiter and he was wonderful! So patient with us! The average age of the customers skewed higher. Seems like a lot of retirees frequent the restaurant. Everyone was very sweet! They have a good selection of liquor at the bar, and it seems like they're known for their whisky. Very casual. They have high chairs! We split 2 appetizers and each got our own entrée. Here's what we got:- Pimento Cheese Fritters ($14): Good.- Blueberry Baked French Toast ($14): Glad we split this. It was really good and sweet, but I couldn't have eaten the entire dish myself.- Sprig Classic Burger ($14) with Sweet Potato Fries (+ $2): The burger was good. The fries would've been great if they weren't so salty.Others in my party had the Veggie Omelet ($14), Chilaquiles ($14), and Breakfast Croissant ($14). All were pretty average. The veggies weren't cooked into the omelet, just sandwiched between the egg. The portions were also pretty small.Decent food, reasonably priced, portions on the smaller side. Good service!"
"We threw a surprise birthday party for my friend and I am so glad we chose Manuel's. This was my first time at the restaurant and I honestly will be back. The venue has a neighborhood feel. The hardwood floors are great with the natural design aesthetic. The big windows provide ample natural light and allow you to experience the area as a whole while sitting inside. We booked the back room which is a huge area. There is also a speaker connection which is great as it allows you to create your own ambiance that you desire. There is also a curtain you can close which allows for you to be off in your own world while still being present at the venue. Along with the booking, you get your own servers for the room. This is a great addition as it makes the service and experience as a whole very personal. The service provided was amazing. The servers were friendly. They knew the food and drink menu very well and were able to keep everyone's orders in order and keep away from any confusion or mix ups. The food at Manuel's was AMAZING! I decided on the Steak Quesadilla with a side of Tater Tots. I'll be honest, I think I'm addicted. LoL!!! The steak in the quesadilla was tender, meaty, seasoned, and most of all a perfect portion. The quesadilla as a whole is a healthy portion and great as a personal meal or one to share. (I want another one now. LoL!)... the Tater Tots took me back to childhood. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were a perfect pairing for the Quesadilla. Furthermore, the fixings that come with the quesadilla were fresh and good. Can you tell I enjoyed my meal?Overall this was a great experience. Manuel's is perfect for a group of friends or a personal meal. You can't go wrong with dropping in."
"TLDR: Service was okay, food was good and portions were huge, tons of seating. The service was just alright. Waitress took our order but was not terribly friendly. Not really a big deal but for some reason it was notable at the time. The food was good. Breakfast fare, biscuits and gravy, French toast, omelet, etc. Salt and pepper were a must for most dishes. The portions were very large! So make sure you know what you are ordering. The restaurant decor doesn't really seem to know what it wants to be. Sports bar mixed with 50s diner kind of vibe.I'll definitely come back as it was very convenient to the place we were visiting."
"The hostess lady name Dom was amazing and super helpful... Food was good and service was on point.. Our server name was Bobby and he was good.. Saturday afternoon around brunch time was kind of busy but overall good/ fast service... One of my favorite places to go in the SWATS.."
"I brought interns here for a post-work meal. Service, food & prices served us right. Our table had a mixture of grilled salmon, Buffalo Chicken Dip (ordered a second), burgers & chicken tenders. The kitchen was kind enough to cook my Impossible patty in a separate pan that I turned into a lettuce wrap. Great vibe & social scene especially with the opened window seating/patio.The interns said they'd bring me back with their first stipend...we'll be back."
"First thing I noticed here is that service is fast! Came here for a date night and we were immediately seated. The inside has this gritty ambiance that makes you feel like you're out on the streets of Korea. The menu isn't vast but I really do prefer it that way since it helps narrow down what we want to order. We decided on the spicy squid, bone marrow japchae, and hedo bap. All 3 came out around the same time, fast. Personally, I liked that :) I started grubbing so hard that I thought to myself, "Wow, I'm glad my gf and I are comfortable with each other." because I was giving serious White Chicks/Marlon Wayans "damn lil lady, you sho can put it away" behavior. Spicy squid was yummy but not my fave. 2nd place went to the japchae. Noodles were good but that bone marrow was the star! I think the marrow was torched a bit so it gave it this nice charred texture and flavor. Devine! The thing that would bring me back here again and again is the hedo bap. The combo of all the crunchy toppings, warm rice and cold tuna made this texturally satisfying. Also, felt a little healthier to eat in comparison to the other things we ordered. Excited to show this place to my family when they come and visit :)"
