I will say that the service disappeared after we received our plates.Prices were normal for the times ... though a $4 coffee and a $4 bottled water was shocking. The food, though, was amazing. Loved the chicken in waffles .. well seasoned, good coating. The waffles were crunchy outside and cakes inside .. perfect consistency. The souther breakfast has traditional eggs, meat, bread, and grits. Smooth grits with just the right amount of salt and smothered in cheddar cheese. I did request over medium eggs but received over easy. Definitely recommend this restaurant!"

Scott M. "Realized I was driving out of Atlanta during what was about to be rush hour and made the wise decision to stop at Fox Brothers to eat some BBQ and kill some time. Glad I did. It's got an old school gritty bbq joint vibe while still being nice and clean. Love that. A bar for the drinkers, tables outside for when the weather is nice, and in my experience a solid crew that's working hard and doing a great job.I'd never been there so I ordered a combo plate with a little pork, a little brisket, and a few ribs. For the sides I got mac and cheese and a frito pie. All of it was great and I had enough there to take a box home. The standouts for me were the frito pie, which is something you never see, and the brisket which was outstanding. I'd order any of it again, but those 2 really hit the spot.Private parking lot, god service, solid plate of bbq for a reasonable price and a bar. That should be everything you need."

I actually decided to sit outside, so I could people watch. If you sit outside, just be warned that your service might be a bit slower. As for food, their menu looked inside. They had a ton of interesting burger options, but I went for the 50/50 Chili (half beef, half turkey). The chili had a nice flavor to it and it came with some kind of cornbread on the side. Thank you.Just landed, checked into the hotel, then came here for our first meal (3 hour time difference from PST).Quality/Quantity - Came here for happy hour. Got the following:New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Ray's Chicken Sandwich - Good. My dish. I am told that Atlanta is known for their chicken and waffles, so this was the closest thing on their HH menu.Wagyu Burger - Also good, done well. Not well done, pun intended.Truffle Parmesan Fries - This was SO good, real shaved truffles! Not just truffle oil. This would have been 5 stars, if we realized that our HH orders also came with fries. We were SO fried out by the end of the meal.HH New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc $8 - So good and refreshing that I got two glasses. Well after a long flight, time changes, etc, I felt I deserved two glasses. They have a decent wine selection, see menu or my pictures of their wines, displays, etc. Full bar, etc.Atmosphere - Nice upscale restaurant.Booth, table, and bar seating.Private or semi private dining available.Clean modern bathrooms.Open 7 days a week: Weekdays from 11:30am to 9pm or 10pm, weekends open for dinner only from 4pm to 9pm or 10pm. See my picture. Hours differ on Yelp and their website.I am told that it is crazy busy after the nearby conventions let out.Events, see website. Also on their website, they preach a dress code. Not sure how I was dressed getting off the plane, but I guess I was dressed good enough to eat here. LOL.Service - Brenda, our bartender, was good. Personable. They also have a loyalty program, see website.Price - $60 + generous tip.Expensive for a HH, but there are just not enough decent good restaurants in the downtown area that are walkable from our hotel. And there are aggressive people in the streets, especially at night, so be safe.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1984 and with your 3 locations. I made a meal of the sides tonight; a cup of Brunswick stew, pickled beets, black eyed peas and collard greens. The black eyed peas and collards are both really delicious. Usually I get a two meat combo, as I'm fond of the ribs and brisket. It's all good. Service is efficient and helpful, with questions answered at the counter. The space is comfy and homey, as all great bbq restaurants ought to be. The banana pudding is simple and classic."

They have no parking lot so valet is mandatory which was a bit annoying but I didn't want to take a chance on my car being towed for parking next door so I conceded and did valet. I sat at the downstairs bar. It was early so there were only a few other smoking cigars. The bar was a nice work station for the early evening. Eventually the place began to liven up and there was a piano player. I ordered salmon and a cesar salad. The salad was tasty and the piece of salmon was huge. However, the salmon lacked flavor so I had to request some sauce for it.The bartenders were nice and constantly checked on me.I would go back but I might try a steak and some of the other dishes they're known for."

You must try the white corn grit fritters as an appetizer. I didn't order this time because there's four to a serving and I was alone. Reservations for lunch and dinner are always available. Walk-ins are also welcomed, but there's always a crowd here. The staff are incredibly efficient and friendly. Always. I have never had a bad service experience or anything close to it. The ambiance is the only thing I don't love, but it's okay. Seed is intimate, but very loud. I took a picture of my latest lunch. I picked the daily special, which includes small portions of a sandwich (pulled pork pictured), salad (this one with bacon Parmesan) and soup (butternut squash with toasted pumpkin seeds). It changes daily as the name implies. Parking is tighter with the new Marshall's, but really never a problem."

I would not have been able to experience this venue if I did not book a reservation.I do not think this place has a private parking lot but there were plenty of free street parking. No issues parking. This venue makes sure not to over-burden their kitchen and staff. There will be open tables but they will only seat you at your reservation time. I like this. This is how a venue performs quality control. You have a much better experience when you have not been waiting on food for an hour or the kitchen has to rush. They do have outside tables for your wait. You can order a couple of drinks as you wait as well.I ordered the black spaghetti with rock shrimp, spicy sausage, and scallions. The black spaghetti does not change the taste of the spaghetti at all but it makes the dish looks cool. This dish has an amazing taste. I was even more excited about the fact that they were still doing their unique brunch buffet in which patrons could walk through the kitchen and just pull small plates off the pass. It was such a fun experience that I really wanted to revisit. The restaurant was as I remembered it - sleek and rustic with a real Southern vibe. The service was friendly and engaging. However, I spent little time focusing on the staff or décor, because I could not wait to get into the kitchen and grab some food. There were just so many items, all broken into "Starter", "Breakfast", and "Lunch" portions of the menu. A few of my favorites were the Smoked Salmon Toast, Buttermilk Biscuits with Peach Jam, Patatas Bravas, Shrimp and Grits, Chilaquiles, and Collard Greens. After stuffing ourselves on several plates from the kitchen, we saved room to try some tarts off a dessert table that was located next to the host stand. The small, delicious bites were all we could handle by that point, but they were still much appreciated. The brunch buffet at Local Three was really like no other in the way the food was acquired by the diners and in the gourmet quality of the menu items. I highly recommend this experience!"

He anticipated our needs, knew what we wanted before we asked--it was such a pleasure. Being our first time, he gave us a complete rundown of the menu, specials, etc. Shout out to him!My friend and I ordered several items, including the delicious Hibiscus Margarita. For appetizers, we had The New Orleans Spicy Shrimp, The Garlic Crab Claws, and The Fried Pacific Calamari. As mains, I had the Baked Shrimp Alfredo, and my friend ordered the Blackened Chicken Rigatoni. We couldn't finish it all, so we got a to-go box but saved room for dessert--a Sundae for two. It came in a huge glass with loads of ice cream, brownie, fudge, and whipped cream.I've raved about this place on every social platform. The host and all the servers were so kind and friendly. They had taken it off the menu!I settled for this Gulf Shrimp, fried and substitute the mango sauce. It was tasty. But nothing special for $28.I think the reason why I didn't is because my server Yulia. had at least six tables assigned to her. If it wasn't for the great maître D, Andrew, I probably would not have gotten cream because they don't have cream for the coffee service. I also hesitated, whether or not to order the lobster bisque because I couldn't tell how much cream was in it.. I did not want it to be too rich! He offered to let me try a little sample. Which is something my server should've offered me, but she was too busy. Great greenery, a play area, and beautiful building exteriors. Oh yes, the outside ambiance it pretty pretty. Walking in, the hostess was all smiles as I walked up to the desk. Though it is Father's Day, it wasn't too crowded so we were able to be seated immediately. The ambiance inside is just as beautiful as the outside. The exposed wood concept adds a natural warmth to the vibrant environment. There are multiple bars, ample seating, as well as an outdoor seating area. They ensured this location would capture the attention of any and everyone. As we sat down, we were greeted by Xavier. He was super pleasant and all smiles. After welcoming us in, he covered the brunch and general menu highlights and gave us a moment to decide. In tradition of me, you know I ordered a sweet tea and it was the bombbbbbbbbbbbb. Well seasoned, meaty and perfectly done. There's nothing like a good cut of bacon that is perfectly done and Hobnod hit it on the head. The grits were super creamy and very cheesy. There was a nice seasoning to them but it didn't take away from the natural flavor of the grits. The cheese was embedded in the dish so there weren't any unmelted pieces. **To note, the cheese is already in the gritsThis was a very enjoyable experience. We booked the back room which is a huge area. There is also a speaker connection which is great as it allows you to create your own ambiance that you desire. There is also a curtain you can close which allows for you to be off in your own world while still being present at the venue. Along with the booking, you get your own servers for the room. This is a great addition as it makes the service and experience as a whole very personal. The service provided was amazing. The servers were friendly. The skin on the Fried Chicken was crispy, but the meat was a little dry. The Pot Roast was overcooked, and everything could have used a little more seasoning. It's possible that since we visited shortly before they closed, that the food may have been better earlier on.Overall, Matthews Cafeteria is a cool place, and the staff was friendly, but the food was just okay. We got there right during shift change so we had two servers which made some things a bit confusing but it wasn't bad. Both servers were very friendly and the food was good. The Bloody Mary tasted great, this is a good spot to watch sports as they do have several TVs around the whole place."

Sara G. "I found a gem in Atlanta. Hidden on a corner of the Krog Street Market is The Ticonderoga Club. It has a Caribbean tavern feel. Ticonderoga comes from the Iroquois word meaning a junction of two waterways which makes sense given the seafood forward menu. I had the mackerel dip, green salad and catch of the day which was trout. Everything was fantastic. Taylor took great care of us."

Graham K. "I finally went to this location with my girlfriend on a late Sunday morning for brunch. We sat at the bar as a party of two. It was busy all morning. I'm usually not a brunch person because I cook quite a bit but I was really impressed with their menu. You are able to get half sizes of almost anything to include the Benedict and tacos. The Bella Bella Benedict Was to die for. They also have a full bar and a cool retro vibe."
