Marcus O. "I just discovered a new cafe that has everything I love: vibrant coffees, delicious pastries made in house, and comfortable seating and modern decor. I tried the lavender latte, and it was perfect. It had a rich flavor and a smooth texture. Can't recommend enough the walnut coffee cake which is light and airy with a satisfying texture. They had other pastries on display like scones, muffins, and cakes -- all looked tempting. The seating area was spacious and comfortable. The decor was modern and stylish with music which was upbeat and relaxing, creating a lively mood. It's the great place to hang out with friends or read a book. If you're looking for a new cafe to try with attentive friendly service, I highly recommend it."

Rose E. "Just like Mozart Bakery chain, this Korean bakery/bakeries (several locations) is inspired by artist, Vincent Van Gogh...and you'll see his pic and other inspired artworks throughout the cafe. I've been to this Pleasant Hill location just once before, and I've always thought the place itself is very charming...a great, serene ambiance. However, there are so many bakeries in Duluth (and surrounding areas) with HUGE, extensive selections...and sadly, this bakery cafe selection pales in comparison. If only this place made its way to someplace like Charlotte, where there wouldn't be much competition for light pastries.Still, I stopped in to pick up 3 pastry items to go. Just like all the bakeries, these pastries are made fresh daily, and individually wrapped (Covid-friendly!), and thoroughly delicious.PS*** I'm revising the review up to 4 stars...because by now I've tried all 3 pastries, and they were AMAZING!!"

We tried the pecan tart with berry jam, the Gregory cheese puff, and the kouign amann. All the pastries were great but the best was the kouign amann. They were able to get all the flaky and crispy layers, which is so difficult! Overall, highly recommend this cafe!"

Venue and Atmosphere Press and grind is a small shop but the tables are spaced out so you are never on top of anyone. There is plenty of natural light and several plugs for your laptop or other WFH technology. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages The grilled cheese sandwich is legit. I also had the green smoothie which was delicious and not overly sweet. They have many flavors of coffee syrups if you're like me and don't like the taste of the traditional coffee. Verdict I'll be back for sure, the cffe and smoothies under one roof are a winning combination."

Cookies & Biscottis - copious and with delicious flavors. Kolaches - without a doubt. Muffins, turnovers, scones and twists. Of course. And that's just the beginning. While sitting in their very few sets of tables and chairs enjoying my Almond croissant and espresso, I observed at least a dozen customers come in and go straight to the refrigerator and purchase freshly made sandwiches. Vegetarian,Tarragon Chicken, Prosciutto Ficelle ( I'm going back for this one)! and Smoked Turkey to name a few. Also check their daily specials. They now sell truffles, macarons, and piece cakes in addition to breads. They've set up more shelving space to accomodate for the new items they added to the storefront. However, most items are not labeled with the pricing, with some of the petit cakes starting at $3.50. Although I like the increased variety and the new concept of wanting to sell cute and yummy small dessert cakes, some of the desserts presented looked a bit sloppy and not super appealing. However, I would come back to get their coffee or their Korean breads."

Also, like most Mozart bakeries, this bakery is run by Korean ladies. During my visit, I noticed that there wasn't a single non-Korean in the bakery (and it was fairly full!).The bakery selection is the typical of many Korean/Asian bakeries...a HUGE selection of French-inspired pastry items. However, the decor is much more exotic...somewhat retro? Though somewhat aesthetically appealing on one hand, I didn't like how the place was hard to maneuver around...lotsa tight quarters. Also, I thought the place needed some music. I just remember hearing lotsa people speaking Korean (though in hushed tones)!I ended up trying 2 teeny-tiny mini pastries, with this Black Taro Milk Tea with Boba. A splendid spread of baked goods awaited, but I was surprised how many of them were vegan. I sampled what was described as a chocolate raspberry mousse cake, bearing in mind that mousse is a very non-vegan foodstuff. The rich flavor and smooth texture did little to disappoint, and if it was coconut or something like that there wasn't any strange or off taste to dissuade me from wolfing that thing down. The average diner may just ignore the labeling as to what is and what is not vegan, but those with particular dietary preferences or allergies will be quite satisfied if what I got is any indication."

Kevin C. "Piece of Cake is a great example of a small cake shop that does cake really well. It's definitely not a fancy schmancy pretentious business, which is fine with me!Piece of Cake is in a large shopping center, and is on, what I consider, the backside of the shopping center. Free parking is always available in the large shared parking lot. Came here on a Sunday afternoon at around 3 pm. The woman working behind the counter greeted us and asked if she could help us with anything. We each just wanted a slice of cake, so she pointed out where the rack with the slices of cake was. The rack that had the clear plastic to-go containers of cake slices looked like it had been picked over, but the slices of cake still remaining looked delicious. My favorite is Red Velvet, so that's what I picked out. R picked out a slice of Strawberry cake. We took the cake slices to eat later. The employee was wearing a face mask. Signage on the floor showed where customers should stand in line to allow for social distancing.I really enjoyed the red velvet cake slice! The cake was moist and red velvet chocolate-y. What made this layered cake even more delicious was the icing. The icing wasn't sickening sweet like many cake shops make icing. In those instances when the icing is too sweet, I tend to scrape the icing off. I didn't scrape the icing off of this cake slice!Beside cake slices, this place also sells whole cakes, but you have to pre-order them. They also sell cookies, brownies, bars, shortbread and other baked treats. They also sell cards and candles. This is a really good place for moist cake with just the right amount of sweetness in their icing!"

My partner and I will TRAVEL to a shop if needed. If that alone does not prove how good their donuts are then I don't know what will. We first were introduced to Salty down in Miami. But now as we've moved from FL we don't get to treat ourselves to these sweet treats as often as before. The first thing you need to know about The Salty is if you plan on going you need to arrive when they first open their doors. This is when you will get the best options. If you go later in the day there will not be much left. When we came into the Buckhead location we walked in and they only had one tray of donuts left. No matter what donut you get they will always be super sweet and super delicious. So if you want options then get there early, but if you don't care, then go whenever and there will be at lease one option. Service was quick and super easy. The donut they had on this occasion was the Cookie Monster donut. Which had a blue glaze. Cookie topping and filled with a cookies and cream style cream. The space is bigger than I thought it would be, gives off a European feel with the type of tables and chairs they have set up. I've only been on weekends and it's always been super busy with people. I think most Korean/asian type bakeries have increased prices for their goods now. Also, not sure when the best time to go is because it's a hit or miss for what they have out and available. I'm assuming first thing in the morning is best? I've been in during earlier afternoons and have been disappointed that not everything was there. What really drew me here was that they have salt bread! Had it in Korea and fell in love. Such a simple thing, but there's something about it that makes me want to keep eating it. It turns out that the Sandy Spring location is closer, so he placed an online order for pick up in Sandy Springs. This Crumbl Cookies is in a busy shopping center. There are lots of available parking spaces in the large and free parking lot. R dropped me off so I could go into the store while he parked close by and stayed in the car. From where I was dropped off, I walked up some steps to get to the store level. Before I got to the entrance, though, I noticed there were a few tables in front, closer to the parking lot. There were many customers waiting in line to use the two self service kiosks so that they could order their favorite cookies. I'm glad R placed an order via the app which allowed me to bypass the kiosk line; some customers took a while to make their selections, delaying others behind them. More customers were in the waiting area, crowded together and looking forward to when one of the employees would call their names and hand over their boxed cookies. Flavors of the week rotate onto and off of the list of available flavors (except for milk chocolate chip and the classic pink sugar cookie (chilled), which are mainstays). This week, cookies and cream milkshake (chilled), strawberry cupcake, buttermilk pancake, triple chocolate chip and Kentucky butter cake made the list. There were at least seven employees working in the open view kitchen, and all of them were moving quickly, performing a multitude of tasks. There were two smiling employees taking turns bringing pink boxes to the waiting area, calling out customers' names and handing the orders to them. All of the employees did great jobs getting the long line of customers handled, and I could see it was obviously a team effort. Just like other Crumbl Cookies stores that I've visited, this still was brightly lit and clean.R and I each got four cookies; two of them were milk chocolate chip and two of them were triple chocolate chip, allowing both of us to try both flavors. The cookies were slightly crunchy, mostly chewy, dense, sweet, heavy and filling. I'm not that much into really sweet cookies so I wouldn't eat these more than once every few months, but these were good when paired with a tall glass of milk!"

So when I ventured over to Grant Park Farmers Market to be a healthy hot girl (of course I used my reusable Yelp tote bag *shameless plug*) and saw TGM, I figured it was a great day to indulge in some freshly baked bread. I already had a bag full of organic produce, what's a bit of bread?!TGM was located towards the back of the market in a large open space. When I approached their tent, the line was full of guests mulling over what bagels they'd pick or which loaves were calling their names. With the goods displayed out on the table, they knew what they were doing to us LOL. That bread smelled and looked so good, I was tempted to ask for a little bite of the bagels the man in front of me just purchased. (Sharing is caring!) When it was my turn, I made the difficult choice of flavors, not going overboard with too much since I know it'd just be for me. I went with the Asiago loaf and what a choice. I love that the TGM team member who packaged my loaf then asked me, "What other treats can I get for you?" Don't try and trap me up, sis! She was so sweet and smooth about it, I almost let my inner greed come out as I really wanted like 5 more loaves just to try them all. My loaf was packaged so well, but not for long. As soon as I got home from the market, I sliced up a little piece... just to be sure all was well of course. Listen. Wow. It was SO good. A delicious crust, soft inside and the nooks and crannies are almost glazed with the butter it was made with. I've enjoyed it with butter, without, as a grilled cheese sandwich, to dip in my hummus and whew. Flags on the ceiling hang for some Australian states and territories (but weirdly omitting Queensland, SA, NT, and NSW as far as I could tell, which is probably more than half the country). Australiana was strewn about and various hard to find goods were available for purchase. I couldn't resist the Tim Tams, a classic Australian cookie (biscuit, if you prefer) a delicious junk food. They were several times the price they would be in Australia, but to be fair when I looked online the prices were quite similar; apparently niche goods from a faraway island country are expensive. The spread of baked goods looked much like a lot of places you'd find in Australia. To me, this wasn't the sort of place I would go to a ton during the years I lived there. For one thing, the country is quite cosmopolitan and has plenty of diverse options, and for another, the beachy areas often included more avante garde cuisine. This place is more what you'd find on the side of a rural road where there wasn't anything else for a while. The thing is I am not the hugest fan of lamingtons or pavlovas, let alone Anzac biscuits. I'm more of an avo on toast person. Their pies and such also weren't particularly vegetarian-friendly, which again resembles a lot of old-school Aussie pie places rather than the hip one I liked near Bondi. The veggie pastie I ended up with was a reasonable melange of potatoes and other veggies, but I was surprised by how much it was and this one wasn't imported from the other side of the world. I still might come back and peruse the pastries or shelved goods more (and I wish I'd noticed earlier that they had a seasonal Bundaberg ginger beer variant in the fridge, if not in 4-pack form).
