Amore Fine Dining & Spirits

It was overpriced and not really fine dining.Made Valentines Day reservations, and when we arrived, a young lady greeted us with: What can I do for you? " Instead of welcome to Amore. Overall bad service, ambiance, food and parking.The parking lot is small and difficult to find parking. Parked way in the back behind restaurant. We were seated near the front door next to the piano. Could not hear ourselves due to the piano playing. People who came in after us got better seats in booths and in more desirable areas.People were constantly coming behind my seat, talking and making their way into the restaurant. Very unsettling.Food appeared to be from frozen food ( vegetables). Was told they could only cook steak medium rate ( should have placed those on the menu website). No dress code with folk coming in dressed inappropriately for "fine dining"This is a glorified Olive Garden at best.Food was bland. Bread was hard. Butter was stick hard. There was no garlic butter.

This is one of if not the best restaurants we have by Lake Conroe. HOWEVER,The last time we attempted to enjoy a nice dinner in the BAR at THE BAR, we were told after 10 minutes that these 2 seats in the corner of the bar were reserved. NO SiGNAGE!! WE were told we had to move, and although there were no people waiting, and it was early like 530 , They tried to seat us in the back by a bunch of children. No thank you. We've eaten here at least a dozen times, but no longer.. ... Bar stools are for singles and people we go want a casual experience, not surprise reserved seating! And so we left, not to return again. Stupid management decisions !!

I recommend calling for reservations. The live music on Friday's and Saturday's is reminiscent of the rat pack vegas days. The food shows the love and care of a family owed Restaurant in the heart of Italy! Do yourself a favor and indulge in this experience.

The BREAD!!!!! Hard to believe that garlic bread could have such an impact, but it did. Delicious, garlicky, goodness! The waitstaff is wonderful, the food spectacular. Overall a great experience. Wish it was a little quieter.

Wanted to add a follow up review after my latest visit to Amore. It's still amazing! I wanted to add a few more photos after trying some ordering the sausage and gnocchi, which I couldn't yet find a picture of on yelp. So here it is! By the way, it was delicious. Similar sauce to the Lobster Capellini, so if you enjoy that dish you'll like the sausage and Gnocchi. The service here is always superb, and we ended up coming on a night with live music which was fun. We always appreciate a stop at Amore!

Whenever we come here to visit our daughter and son-in-law, we make it a point to come here. We alway have a great experience with both food and service. This last time we sat in the bar area and had great service. On this visit, I had the Shrimp Mushroom & Truffle Risotto, which was excellent! We had a couple of bottles of wine off of their Wednesday special menu, which was pretty extensive. And YES! Get the garlic bread!

Wonderful service, attentive waitress, gracious owners (both came out to say hello, we had a sleeping toddler so they brought him a blanket (very sweet). We tried a myriad of dishes (I had the tuna tartare app and lamb chop main) and all were super good. The owner brought us a plate of complimentary fresh fruits which was the perfect close to a divine experience. Highly recommend and would definitely return

Just moved to the area, were looking for some good food and passed this place like a hundred times but never tried it because of some bad reviews but today we ordered a pick up and got a huge surprise. What an amazing food!!! I'm kicking myself for going months without good Italian food and never giving this place a try. I had shrimp mushroom and truffle risotto, cup of minestrone soup and side of mashed potatoes. It came with some bread and bruschetta which was amazing! We ate it all. It was sooooooo good. Can't wait to eat it again!!

Love this place! Especially for Happy Hour in the Spirits Bar weekdays 3-6 pm. If you're lucky get there on a day they have musical entertainment which varies week to week. The bar bites menu is a great way to try out some of their delicious food. We love their bread from regular menu (AMORE FAMOUS GARLIC DINNER ROLLSFresh baked rolls, toasted open faced, drizzled with extravirgin olive oil and garnished with garlic, Parmesan cheese)Another fav is their stuffed crab shells from bar bites menu...mini crabs (5) stuffed with luscious crab stuffing topped with cheese and baked. My husband enjoys their fresh oysters on the half shell. We've also enjoyed a variety of entrees here along with cocktails. Everything we've had is always very fresh and flavorful. Seriously have not had anything we didn't love. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself and your loved one to a great night (or afternoon) here.

1ST time here and it did not disappoint..had an amazing experience and food was outstanding..we celebrated our friends anniversary and they absolutely loved it. I plan on going back for sure.!!
