I met a friend here for lunch. The atmosphere is relaxed in a clean and bright eatery with impeccable service that is located inside the Loews Coral Gables Hotel. We sat near the windows, so we could have a view of the front walkway.A few new items were added to the menu and we ventured to try a couple. We ordered the tuna taquitoes, the salmon roll, the spicy tuna, the Thai chicken wings, and truffle fries. I know the taquitoes and wings were new. Not sure about the others. The sushi was fresh and melted in your mouth and came with different accompaniments, some on the side and some on the rolls. The waitress was very helpful in making sure certain items were gluten free for my lunchmate and in accommodating other special requests.I had never eaten truffle fries before and loved these. I scarfed down a few without a drop of my beloved ketchup. The Thai wings were flavorful and meaty. The tuna taquitoes were my absolute favorite. The thin, crunchy taco shell was the right casing for the tuna embellished with cilantro, avocado, and I am not sure what else. (I had the scallions removed from mine because of an allergy.) It was my absolute favorite item. The order comes with two tacos. At roughly about $22 for each item, and with the fries costing $12, our lunch was not cheap and the portions are not large. But it was worth it to treat ourselves to such first-class fare.

I actually was really surprised by this restaurant! Located in the lobby of the Lowe's, it's a great place to get a drink or grab food. It has a cozy modern vibe to it We had the margherita pizza and salmon sushi roll. I was super surprised by the salmon roll as it had scallion cream cheese which made all the difference. Service was attentive and quick.

This visit was solely based on the happy hour, which is served up daily from 5-7 and the options and price points are great! The tuna tacos, flatbread, wings and truffle fries were my favorite; very yummy. My friends enjoyed the sliders. The service delivered by the manager, Davide, was outstanding! He ensured that the experience was excellent and it was. The ambiance was nicely lit and offered in and outdoor seating; definitely a great spot for all levels of celebration with friends, the love of your life or solo. Check it out and enjoy!

The food was absolutely fantastic. Very unique variety of options. Service was excellent, our waiter was on top of it and our water was always filled. We had both dinner and breakfast there and would do either meal there again. I especially enjoyed the Cuban hash.

The place is beautiful and new the service is good. The appetizers were excellent especially the empanadas. But the snapper was way over cooked and tough and that should never happen.

This review is based on the Miami spice $60 dinner menu. Good vegetarian, meat, and fish options offered. Good service. Full bar and large wine selection. I felt like the ambiance lacked due to being in a hotel lobby. Not impressed by the appetizers - had the watermelon salad (nothing added to make it pop) and hamachi (okay, but again no wow factor). For entrees we had the grouper and the steak. The steak was perfectly paired with a corn creme. The corn surprisingly was the star of the show with bits of char and fried onions making it the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The grouper was cooked well with a side of pickled veggies that paired nicely. For dessert, we tried the two options offered - creme brûlée which was a nice combination of tangy/sweet, and the panna cotta which was a light and airy end.Overall, enjoyable but probably a one off.

It's our first time visiting Loews Coral Gables and the restaurant inside. The restaurant is located to the right once you enter the lobby. It opens up to a courtyard outside, and if weather is agreeable you can enjoy your meal outdoors. Their Miami Spice lunch has a good variety. For appetizer, some of us have the Mango and Pineapple Gazpacho and the meatlovers the Calle Ocho Roll. The roll is a sushi treatment with plantain and mojo pork, which works out surprisingly well. As for the gazpacho, instead of a chilled soup it comes out more like shrimp and fruit cubes with some sauce drizzled on. My friend thinks it's mismarketing, though I don't mind too much as every bite was delectable and refreshing. For entree, the branzino is tender with a nicely crisped skin. As for the pork chop - we ordered three of them at our table, and it was like the Goldilock bears. One came out perfectly done - juicy and tender. One was so dry and tough, if anyone had come by to check on us we'd have asked for a re-do. One was so pink that even though I know it's ok to eat pork not cooked through (at least in US) I was like, wow that is red! The sauce and sides was delicious, but I am docking one whole star for that inconsistent cooking which should not happen at all in a better restaurant. As you exit the hotel, take note of the little house sitting across the street. The owner refused to sell his parents' home to the developers so here it sits in the middle of the swanky new buildings. Parking: There's not much street parking but garage is at this point inexpensive with plenty of spaces.

I stayed at Loew's for a conference and didn't find anything exciting on the room service menu. I ventured down to Americana Kitchen where I had sushi and a glass of Prisoner (my fave!) I ordered the crab and avocado roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious!! I'd read a review that described the crab roll as bland but I totally disagree! Both were better than similar rolls I've had at actual sushi restaurants in DC. The pour was generous and the service was top tier. The meal was on the pricier side but well worth it. I highly recommend!
