Alfredo's Restaurant

I love me an old school urban luncheonette with spinners at the counter, a few tables nearby and hot steel grill in plain sight to witness the cooking magic of the owner/chef. Alfredo's Restaurant is all that in spades. On this first visit I was introduced to the owner, who shook my hand and informed that he had been slinging hash right there for 50 years. The joint looked like it still had all original gear which added to the authenticity and sense of timelessness. The atmosphere was as delicious as my Blueberry French Toast breakfast. Four slices of egg soaked thin bread properly mixed with a touch of vanilla and perhaps cinnamon sugar, plus a large handful of fresh blueberries grilled right with the bread. It came with 4 slices of well done bacon (sorry. No photo), which snapped with each crisp bite. Coffee was strong and refilled thrice. I have not seen prices this low since long before the pandemic. Mortgage paid off, Al passed the savings directly to his customers. Tracy was my server, ably assisted by her comely daughter. Warm and friendly all around. Alfredo's is a place either you get or you don't. I certainly got it, and wished I was in Norristown more frequently to enjoy more often.

I went here in March when I visited my family and ordered the French toast, it was fantastic. The coffee was very watery, but everything else was great.I used to live right across the street from them, and I am moving back in the area soon, so I'm looking forward to the great food and service Alfredo's gives.

Skip the over-priced, boring hotel buffets or Dunkin' Donuts and go here for a great breakfast. Decided to leave another small place because the wait was too long, and found Alfredo's. It's a hole in the wall that's actually a hidden gem. Nothing fancy inside or out, but the food is fantastic. Very friendly staff. We had Stacy, who was wonderful. My test for a great breakfast place is how good the eggs Benedict are. Frankly, this place blew me away. These were THE BEST I've ever had in my life. The Hollandaise is fantastic and they give you a ton of it. Plenty extra to dip your home fries on. I may need to double up on my cholesterol meds, but it was worth it. My son, who's extremely picky, lived his shirt stack pancakes. I would absolutely come here again next time we're in the area (we're in King of Prussia for hockey).

Waited an hour and a half for food this morning and they canceled my order and never told me. This was after I paid. Visited their restaurant a few dozen times over the last 15 years. Never again

This is the place for authentic Philly Cheesesteak. I had to bring a friend back to Norristown for a funeral. Being from Chicago, our version of this is an Italian Beef- the two are NOT the same, further, I have not found a proper Philly Cheesesteak in Chicago, so since I am in the city, this is where I was taken. Our server was Stacy and our food was phenomenal. It is also one of those places that have great breakfast, large portions, and everyone, including the patrons, all had smiles on their faces.The meat, while finely shredded was neither tough or bland. The seasonings are very delicate and the bread was a phenomenon in itself. While I was not able to verify it, I would bet that it is local bread because the rolls in Chicago, even from Gonella do not take quite like this or have quite the same texture. All of it combined for something that was truly something special. Don't even get me started on the cheese, LOVED it as well.I brought a small portion of it home for the true critic in the family... Oliver. He gobbled it down so fast it was a blur!!! If you are in the area I recommend this place, it seems to be family owned and is most certainly the real deal!!!

Service is horrible. They made a pregnant women wait over 15 mins to place a order. I eventually got up from my seat and asked if I could place a order. Once the food came they forgot my the toast. They never came back and asked if I needed anything. I did notice a lot of locals coming in and out and having great costumer service. However it wasn't the case for and. I will not be coming back.

I went to Alfredos to get a truly awesome Burger it's huge has great flavor a carnivore's dream.

I went there again the food was fabulous as always. the waiter Desiree was amazing, I asked her what's the best breakfast choice for kids and she said the Mickey Mouse pancakes for, my daughter and my daughter loved them. And she she requested that I get toast, eggs, and bacon. It was delicious I recommend you go there and it was very clean and it felt like I was family there.

On 05/24/24, I placed a take-out order over the phone. I order two breakfasts and said no onions in the home fries. I made a point to say it twice and the woman on the phone confirmed. This is a very simple request. My husband picked up the order and when he got home, both platters had onions in the home fries.I drove mine back to the restaurant, and the same woman was at the counter. I told her that both orders had onions in them. Her response was, "mistakes happen."Is that her response when someone has a food allergy? Is that her response to anaphylaxis shock? Of course, mistakes happen but she was so incredulously cavalier about it. There was no accountability taken. I told her that I did not want it remade and that I wanted my money back. She could not find the receipt and asked how my husband paid. I said he probably paid cash. Then she tells me she found it, and the paid with a card so she needs the card to reimburse me. Of course I do not have his credit card on me. I did not see any reason why she could not have handed me cash for this botched order.She tries to shove the container of food at me in an "oh well" gesture. I tell her "I'm not eating that so it looks like I'm paying for an order that I'm not eating." Her response was "No problem."No problem, she says.I tell her "It is a problem" and I walk out. In the car, I called my husband and asked him how he paid for the order. He paid with cash. This restaurant stole from me today and they did not care one bit.I will tell you what is "no problem" and that is I am making it my life's mission to tell people that Alfredo's is the King of Mistakes and Not Caring About Them. Customer service, liability, and problem-solving skills are non-existent. Their menu went in my paper shredder and I will never order from them again.

First of all, place is dirty and smells horrible as soon as you walk in. I was going to order takeout breakfast but was so turned off by filthy looking server and the smell of the place. I bet it has not been cleaned in years. I turned around and walked out.
