Adriatic Cafe Italian Grill

Amazing! Honestly I went with reservations- I am Italian and a great cook, and I seldom eat at Italian restaurants! But we had a large group and Adriatic did not charge us anything to serve us. They gave us all individual checks... our waiter Tony was so accommodating...and the food was extraordinary!! I ordered an Adriatic salad- again low expectations- it was brimming with flavor. AND the Caprese appetizer was THE best I have ever had. Thank you George for a wonderful experience!!

It has been a while since I have ventured to one of the Adriatic Cafes. The last one I had gone to was literally over a year and a half, but the Spring location. I remembered the meatballs and bread from that visit. Here it is, 2023, my family and I went to the Tomball location with high expectations. We were sat at a table as soon as we walked in the door. It was about 1/2 full at that time. The inside is nice. Once we sat down it seemed like forever before a server came and took drink orders. Honestly, it was long enough that we were ready to order out meals at the same time, but we were asked to wait until the drinks came. We ordered our food, and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. They came out, pretty quick with some sauce to dip in. Honestly, they were pretty bland and needed seasoning. The basket of bread came out at the same time, but no butter. I honestly would have preferred a plate of olive oil and some spices for dipping. Out meals came, we had a pasta sampler and eggplant parm with a side of meatballs. There are many different ways to make a nice sauce. Theirs was more like a fresh style, chunky, sweet and in my opinion, overly oniony. The eggplant was cut lengthwise, instead of rounds which I prefer. And the portion of eggplant to pasta was lacking. My dish was eggplant parm with a side of pasta. Not pasta with a side of eggplant. My issue is, it still had the skin on it. Which is not a bad thing, until it is tough and chewy. It was. The meatballs were cold in the middle which tells me they microwave them for service and slightly over cooked on the outside. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and it was bland lacking in the coffee flavor it is known for and an overpowering Hersey like chocolate syrup. For a almost $70 check ( no alcohol) for the two of us, I honestly believe I would have been more satisfied at a local mom and pop Italian place that is better for quite a bit less. When I spoke with a friend of my experience, he also confirmed that they are not what they used to be and he no longer visits them. I am a New Yorker and maybe have a different standard for American Italian food, this is not it for me.

Love Adriatic, we go back time and time again. Great happy hour. Helpful tip: considering "to go" for catering your home party - chicken Parmesan for 12. Great value! Cesar salad is awesome!

Came here yesterday with my husband for lunch. He had been here many times, and I was excited to try out some good Italian. To start we had their bread which is seriously the best thing ever. I could sit there all day and just eat their bread. Next we had wine and the Calamari. It came out super hot, crispy, and delicious. The marinara sauce they give you to dip the calamari in is to die for. They serve lunch on the weekends which I think is amazing and no one ever does that anymore. I ordered the Alex Special with a salad with Balsamic dressing. Their dressing is super good, and the salad came with giant tomatoes and cucumbers. When my main dish arrived I was delighted with the portion size. Even though it was lunch you could pretty much split it with two people. The sauce on the Alex Special is my idea of the perfect sauce. There's wine, Alfredo, and a bit of tomato sauce with the perfect hint of spicy. There are loads of veggies in the sauce as well. The chicken in this dish was cooked to perfection. My husband tried mine and liked it so well he ordered the same dish to go. I will definitely be back and want to try more things, however the dish I ordered was so good it will be hard to branch out.

Tomball location does not take reservations so we showed up early on Friday 11/11 at 5:50 pm with a party of 13. We were sat at 6:30.Our waitress was awesome handling our table. (I wish I could remember her name but I do remember she was from Croatia)The bread was freshly baked and we had plenty of it coming. We ordered 2 orders of the Sliced Italian sausage and fried mozzarella. Both were delicious. The fried mozzarella was lightly breaded and served with a warm fresh tomato sauce. It was a thicker cut but fried to perfection. The sliced Italian sausage was sautéed in a garlic, basil, white wine marinara sauce.. delicious with the bread for dipping.Everyone ordered different plates and commented on how good the food was. The only disappointment was the kid's pizza (but hey I'm ok with that)The Salmon Livornese was a seafood perfection! Sautéed with three jumbo shrimp, tomatoes, onions, black olives & capers in a light tomatoes sauce served with a side of vegetables. That sauce was everything!Restrooms are clean, staff was on point and food was appetizing.

Absolutely perfect service and the food was the BEST !!!!! Especially the bread and Alfredo sauce. Very clean restaurant .... And easy in & out

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! To start off with, the bread knots are fresh & sooo good with butter on them. That alone would bring me back for more but when you add that amazing Italian dip, aaammmazing!! There are no words to explain it. You just have to try it!We started with the Calamari, as we usually do, and it was amazing, just as it always is. The batter is se When you add the awesome dishes (I've never had a bad one) you'll be amazed at the quality of the ingredients and the flavors of Italy, you want to come back for more & more. I had the trio which is a portion of lasagna, cheese manicotti & cheese ravioli. The marinara sauce had such a rich depth of flavor. You can tell it is homemade the old school way. I can't express how good it is. And the portions are so big! I had three meals out of that one. My husband had the meat calzone & that things was a work of art but it also was as big as his head! The ricotta & mozerella & choice of quality meats made it truly a MEAL. My husband only finished half of it. I had a bite of it & would definitely order that for myself at future visits. This restaurant never disappoints. Every time I see anyone ask for recommendations for an Italian restaurant on Ask Cypress or Next Door, Adriatic Cafe is ALWAYS on the list several times.

Food is good. My ? Is why can't you order off the kid's menu when you don't eat very much. Answer because your not 12 and under. It's not like you're going to eat more your getting the same amount does make any sense to me. Can someone explain the logic behind this concept.
