Pretty great spot to eat! Service was amazing, one of the best around the area. Our waiter was so kind, thoughtful, and knew his stuff about the menu. He kept refilling our waters which is a gesture that doesn't go unnoticed. Their menu is quite confusing. They have a hot section, cold section, and "classics" section. I assumed the classics were their mains and the "hot" and "cold" were just appetizers due to the difference in pricing. I opted for the blackened salmon, and my friend got the watermelon salad and tomato plate to share. The wait for food wasn't that long, but once they arrived, they were beautiful. Vibrant, full of color, plates of food that I was dying to dig into. The salmon was a pretty small piece (I was expecting a larger portion) and was on top of black beans and cheese grits. The salmon had a green sauce on top which complemented each aspect of the dish very well. I loved eating a bite of everything together. The tomato plate special was also good, but nothing sensational. It's literally just tomatoes with oil on them, but I guess they tasted fresh.I probably wouldn't come back, but this was a good meal nonetheless.

Food is consistently good and they are always open to special requests. We've been going there for almost 20 years and is still our go to for Chinese food.

We have visited twice, and enjoyed both dinners. The specific menu checks all the boxes and has some of my favorite dishes. And the flavors are on the mark. My biggest gripe is the space in the dining room, I feel like the tables are just a bit too close together and our party felt a little too "on-top" of groups near us. Our servers have been quite prompt on both visits, very efficient and knowledgeable of their menu. Certainly enough things going right here to give them a shot!

Loved it! Super cute place. Eat outside if the weather is nice. Service was really good, food was really good, drinks were good. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Food came out quickly. If you haven't tried the Hummingbird Cake, you need to! So good! Can't wait to go again next time we are in town!

Came here to celebrate a special occasion. Love the warm & inviting vibes of the restaurant. Our server was super attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The food however, was the main attraction. We ordered from their daily special menu. Everything was at the peak of freshness (e.g. heirloom tomatoes) and well prepared. I really appreciated the chef's innovative pairings in the surf & turf (lamb chops & diver scallops). The chef did a phenomenal job with the grilled mahi as well. It was done to perfection and served on a bed of curried puréed parsnips. Outstanding! If you're in Carrboro, I highly recommend checking Acme out for some excellent food!
