Regardless of the occasion - Abejas is the place to go!I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the Abejas staff for their exceptional hospitality during the preparation and execution of an important business event dinner. The group was truly blown away by the food and service, and they repeatedly shared how wonderful of a time they had--apparently, they even closed the place down! Brandon & Michael, you were patient and accommodating in the planning phases, down to the last minute reservation time change the day before! Thank you to you and your wonderful staff for making the evening so memorable and delicious! This is my second event hosting at Abejas professionally and that is a drop in the water compared to non-business related visits, every one have exceeded the dining experience! I look forward to not only dining again but working with you again in the future!

There was a ventilation issue and we came home smelling like smoke. It's not obvious when you walk in but it needs to be resolved. This is a cute, farm to table spot. It's small, intimate and fun. Our waiter was great, he knew the food and always checked in. The pace was good, and overall attentiveness to service was professional and flowing well. It's a well run foodie spot. The food: I wish there were more appetizers, some crudo or hamachi or even pasta dish would we nice. We had the focaccia which was amazing, the tomatoes with it were local and fresh, I would have preferred burrata over mozzarella but it was still very good. The carrot salad was a miss for me, the carrots were undercooked and almost marinated not just roasted. A lot of places undercook carrots. The scallops were cooked nicely, but the dish somehow didn't come together for me. It was all fresh, but the sauce din't really bring it together, it was not thought out as a cohesive dish. My husbands fish was very good, moist and the pairing worked well. I tried one of the special wines, can't say it was great. Overall, I would come and sit outside here, I really dislike smelling like smoke.

We visited Abejas for the first time last night and from the time we walked in to the moment we left, everything was wonderful! The hostess was incredibly friendly and so was our waiter. We were provided with recommendations from cocktails and wine to appetizers and dinner. Three of us ordered a cocktail and they were all amazing! The wine list is extensive and interesting and if you need help choosing, the sommelier is happy to help. We split the mussels, which were cooked in a very flavorful broth and could easily be a meal by themselves. Two of us ordered the bison New York Strip and it was cooked perfectly. The other two ordered the striped bass and both loved it as well. For dessert we split the mint ice cream and found it to be perfectly refreshing after dinner on a warm evening.

Made reservations for Sunday brunch at Abejas. Smallish dining area inside, but it is well decorated. There is also a patio out front, and a paid parking lot across the street. Very friendly staff that took great care of us. Went with the porchetta sandwich, and wow was it good. The egg was perfectly cooked and paired well with the soft, buttered bun, and bacon. The other star of the dish was the potatoes. They had to do more than just put them in the fryer. They were perfectly crisp, but had a nice flavor as well. Also liked the amount of greens that came with the dish.

This place is a beautiful little cozy open air restaurant serving delicious food in Golden, CO! I'm glad I made the 25 minute drive to get here. The little town of Golden that surrounds the restaurant is cute and rich with a history. My wife and I loved the restaurant and overall experience of coming here. We came for brunch and everything was so delicious.I would absolutely order the duck confit again, however I saw someone else order the salmon Benedict and it looked amazing.. The service was on par with upscale restaurants. We want to try their dinner menu, so far I'm pretty impressed with this place. I'll definitely be back and I absolutely recommend it.Happy eating!

Food - 9/10. I had the duck confit eggs benedict. It was delicious but heavy. Felt like I needed to take a nap after. I would recommend trying but share with a friend . I tasted the waffle and it was divine 10/10. Waffle was not heavy at all. The vanilla whipped cream was amazing.

The skinny: Yummy cocktails, food, with a lovely ambiance.Overall: Living in the area, we've always found the food in Denver to be much better, and anything close to us to be subpar. We decided to give the area another shot with Abejas and were very pleasantly impressed. The menu is on the smaller side focused on french influences with pastas but we enjoyed everything we got. We had the Oxtail Ragu, Focaccia & Caponata, and lobstser pappadelle. The focaccia was solid but nothing to blow your mind - think good bread with an olive tapenade. The oxtail ragu was subtle - they didn't overdo it with the spices and you could really taste the flavors of the oxtail which we enjoyed. The lobster pappardelle was delicious with a decent helping of lobster and fresh pasta. To finish it off we had a coffee citrus cream dessert that was light and the perfect way to end the meal. They even had some drink pairings that we took advantage of. Ambiance/cost/service: Cute small spot with tables and a small bar area. We opted to sit at the bar area. Service was quick and friendly. Food and drinks are a little pricey - think elevated dining prices - but nothing too absurd. Would I come back: Yes - the food and drinks are solid. A great date night spot and good alternative to driving out to Denver if you are in the area.

This was my first time at Abejas and it was a great experience. Attentive service with amazing dishes is the standard for this small restaurant housed in a former Piggly Wiggly. Their menu is seasonal so ingredients are fresh. The Rhubarbara Streisand cocktail was a delightful mix of blanco tequila, Lillet, rhubarb, lemon and absinthe. We started with bread service which had 2 different types of toasted bread with herb butter and a dip. The bread was tucked into a napkin like a bed to keep it cozy and warm. We split the roasted beet salad - a well seasoned arugula with generous portions of fresh baby beets and goat cheese. The Barley Risotto was a bit salty for our taste but still good. The duck breast was cooked to perfection and the rhubarb coulis was just the right accompaniment. We were too full to have dessert as their portions are generous. Definitely a gem in Golden.
