Customer service and food is a 10/10!Moriah was our server and she was amazing!! She offered recommendations on different drinks and meal options.

The service was excellent! They give you a free boudin ball when you come in and even though I'm not a big fan of them, it was delicious. The atmosphere is great and the food was perfect. Catfish and shrimp had a light breading with good seasoning. Only knock I had was the fries were a bit on the softer side. Definitely will be back!

New place right off I10 in Katy. Easy on and off if you're just wanting a nice place to catch a bite and refresh on the road.The service was absolutely welcoming and made you feel like family. Our server, Ashley, was charming and super helpful. I believe she is the owner, as well. She talked about her son working there while he's out of school and the love and care she's put into designing it. The food is excellent. Most places will bring you bread or chips for free, not here. Here everyone gets a boudin ball as a free appetizer (after double checking to make sure everyone eats pork). They have a crunchy crust and tender middle. The seasoning is on point and there's a little kick with the sauce on the plate. We went at lunch and both got one of the $12.99 lunch specials which come with fries and a drink. Hubby got the fried chicken and I had the catfish po boy. Both were super fresh and so so good. I don't eat much catfish without any sauce, these I definitely would. My husband doesn't even like catfish usually and he enjoyed the taste he got. The bread was toasted but still soft inside and the sandwich itself was huge. I needed two hands to hold it. The fried chicken was served with Louisiana Hot Sauce, it definitely didn't need it, but it was a nice little flavor to mix it up. The chicken was tender and flavorful with nice crispy skin.When we first walked in, I thought I was underdressed as we had just come from the beach. But the staff was so welcoming and the place just had lovely little touches that make it seem so very nice. The tables are set with care, there's places for your eyes to land with beauty everywhere. The bathrooms are spacious and very clean. Everything about the place is super nice and welcoming. We will be back for sure!

I visited a lil taste of the south a black owned business in Katy. The workers were really nice. They charge a $1 for a glass of water which was strange. My waitress didn't tell me that, but another lady came and told me to make sure I wasn't surprised when I got my bill. I guess I was suppose to be thirsty if I didn't want to pay for water ‍. I asked for my catfish fried hard and it wasn't. The fried corn was just whatever seafood batter they used and I didn't like it so I peeled it off. Garlic bread piece was good just thin and small. The shrimp were good. Fries were basic seasoned fries but weren't bad. Boudin and shrimp were my favorite. I probably won't return. If you pay in cash there is a discount which I've never seen at a restaurant.

I'm not going to tell one lie, the Food was simply amazing. We tried the Boudin, shrimp platter, pasta, and mixed drinks, and everything was superb. I'm a foodie from Louisiana so recognizing good food is in my DNA. The staff was very friendly and professional. The cleanliness of their restaurant was unmatched. The restrooms were cleaner than buckees. If you have not tried it I recommend you do yourself a favor.

Food was excellent, but the service needs help. Got my order wrong, missing a piece of catfish, slow on water refills, but the waitress did her best to correct it. The ambiance was laid back and music was relaxing. A little pricey, but I would go back. I do recommend it.

I haven't left but I'm already on the way back. Okay, but seriously, I happened to be in the area after a stressful day and good ole YELP came through for ya girl! I found this gem and I'm looking like WHERE IN THE ENTIRE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN? Good gumbo? In KATY? Shut the faith up! Let's start with the appetizer: boudin balls. 10/10. Period.They were fried to damn perfection. And it was actually boudin. Calling all Louisiana natives, THEY'RE SERVING REAL BOUDIN BALLS!!!!Phase 2: Gumbo: I legit prepared to be disappointed because let's be honest, everybody can't do Gumbo. Ba-BAY when I say this Gumbo blessed my ENTIRE SOUL! Flavor, meat, shrimp, good a$$ sausage... my SPANX didn't have a chance in hell. This was that good. My scary tail ordered a small and I could smack myself for that tease! Whoever is using their grandma's recipe deserves a shot AND a raise! Phase 3: Lemme tell you about Hurricane Katrina. Absolutely delicious. And it's pretty. Hey Katrina! Last but not least EVERY SINGLE PERSON working was friendly and attentive! 10/10! I'll be back... btw there's a reward program!

Let's start off by saying Renee's customer service was amazing! We've been wanting to try this place for a while now. So excited today was the day! Good music and great food. Everything was fresh and prompt. Definitely will be my new katy spot.

We came here thinking the food would be really good! No! The service started off really well but it took a turn quickly when the waitress who told us she would be our waitress just left us and decided she would take a new table( the other table was significantly larger). It took about 30 mins for anyone to even realize we were sitting there and hadn't ordered. So yay we made our order and that took forever to come because it seemed like once the larger group came in their main focus was them. So two out of three of our plates come in and it was ok not great but ok. With two plates already being here we were still missing 1. That never came we were there for about two hours? Porkchops never showed up I guess. We had a rotation of three waitresses who didnt quite understand what they were doing seemingly. On top of the porkchops not coming when ordering we never received any sides and at that point we were fed up and ready for the ticket and that literally took about another 30 mins :/ I dont recommend not worth the time seems very unorganized...

Well my first experience was not that great, but all of the employees were super nice and friendly. Love that! My to go order was incorrect when I got home. I was able to go back to have it replaced. For one, I would never pay $17 for 5 Buffalo wings n fries, which are called party wings! That's nuts! Why are 5 buffalo wings cost more expensive than a catfish platter plate! I order 5 whole wings, which are equivalent to 10 wings for the same price $16.99! That makes not sense at all! I also order some boudin balls, which were good. I also enjoyed the fried corn that came with the platter and the side salad. I replace the fries for a side of dirty rice, which was bland no flavor, which also I think cost too much! I think they need to re evaluate some of there prices on the menu! It's insane!! I know the cost of a lot of things are high now, but I still think some things can be more reasonable priced.
