8 Ounce Korean Steakhouse

One of the best KBBQ restaurant IMO. The wait time was not long, about 15 minutes. We had a party of 3. Servers were nice and attentive. The servers cook the meat for you therefore they checked on us every 10 mins or so.Food was great, we chose combo D. My favorite meat was the beef short rib. Very tender and flavorful. The restaurant can be a little loud since the crowd and music, which makes it hard to hear within your party. Great experience and would visit again for more KBBQ.

This place has great cuts of meat and is not only good for Katy, but for the entire Houston area. It is a little pricier than other places but the location is great and the meats are worth it. I went twice and the second time, I opted to not get the combo but chose my own a la carte. Marinated kalbi and inside flank steak were amazing! I doubled up on the flank after the first round. It reminded me of a less iron tasting picanha.

Good quality meats and delish side dishes.Fun nice music environment for hanging out having few drinks. I'll come back soon!

Ambiance is nice, and wait time can go from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the time and party size. For a party of four, we got three different meats and they provided us with the usual banchan, and soup. Everything was really tender and marinated well (pork belly and boneless short rib beef). They also gave us a nice variety of salads, which I enjoyed.The price is more expensive than other kbbq restaurants in the area. They also assist you with grilling and cutting the meat.Ordered their green tea bingsu, and liked that it was not overly sweet.

Overall experience was great. The food was good and the quality of the meat was good as well. Service - They cook for you and ask you what temp you want your meat and they do an amazing work at getting it right. If you need extra sauce or anything and they will radio the kitchen to bring it out. The wait is a little confusing as they setting up the table but didn't update us on what was going on for a while. So my family and I were just standing up front. The restaurant is a good size for what they do. They have a mixture of small tables to large tables to accommodate different parties. Cheese corn was more savory than sweet. I need the amount of cheese on it might of cover up the sweetness of the corn. Kimchi soup has a nice touch of spicy which was great to me. Steamed corn was okay. Didn't have much flavor compared to other places I have tried. I did the large beef combo (beef brisket, grilled bulgogi, seasoned short rib, ribeye) and it was decent for 6 adults and 2 kids. Wasn't full but it was good enough to keep me over until dinner.

Can I get a Korean BBQ? When I say 8 Ounce, you say, YES PLEASE! We were able to try this fairly new spot in Katy AsiaTown and it was very good. This is not an all you can eat, but the quality of the meat and unlimited sides were a delight! To top it off, they had people cooking for you!! Giving a big kudos and thanks to Bella and Helen, as they were our servers for the night...super cool and sweet people. Ask for them when you go. I love the decor and the vent over our table made it not smell like bbq. Definitely will come back again...ChowChow Time!!!

Great food, owner was there and was training our server and honestly very friendly environment. Ribeye and short rib were definitely the best I've tasted compared to other kbbq places. Only downsides is that the sides were not very good, no rice paper, and pretty pricey.

Best KBBQ I've had in a whileWe were blown away by the food. Although most of the cuts were unmarinated, they tasted amazing in accompaniment with the sauce or the salt. The quality of the cuts were discernible and tasted so fresh. There was also a wide selection of ban chon. The 2 star dishes of the night had to be the scallops & marinated short rib. The scallops were humongous, about the size of the palm of my hand & as for the short rib, the marinade was delicious and the meat was super tender. *chef's kiss*The quality of the food paired with the incredible service made our experience unbeatable. We had the pleasure of being serve by Bella who was both personable and knowledgeable. She ensured that we had seamless service and cooked everything to perfection. She also anticipated all of our needs and we left feeling full in our belly's and warm in our hearts.Overall, this place stole our hearts and we will back back for more. Best part is, you don't even smell like BBQ when you leave. Incredible.

The staff is lovely, the food is good, and there is no reservation system yet. The set prefix of meat is well-priced, but the bulgogi was a bit too sweet (the marinade had a bit too much sugar where if felt like biting caramel)The side dishes were already set out, which made the banchan feel a bit cold and stale.Still a wonderful place to dine in Katy!Cheers!
