5 Star Cafe

We stopped here randomly as we were in the area. I got the egg sandwich and my boyfriend got the scramble. Everything seemed very fresh! The egg sandwich was a large portion! Came with bell peppers, avocado, onions, and I think jicama. The eggs were cooked perfectly! I could only finish half. My boyfriend loved his scramble which was served with a side of delicious bread. They didn't have ice tea, so I had some of my boyfriends coffee. The coffee was excellent! The staff was very friendly!!! We were pleasantly surprised to find this place!

We drove across town to eat dinner at this place on the recommendation of an Eritrean friend. The place is warmly decorated, immaculate, and homey. Our server was very attentive and, though we had expected an extensive menu, she helped us understand that we would be eating one (or both) of the dinner options -- platter with meat, or vegetarian platter. We ordered one of each, which very comfortably served five hungry guests. There was a wide range of cocktail and beer options; but the clear winner was the Eritrean beer (whose brand I now forget). The chef/owner came out to greet and chat with us as we dined.This place manages to feel at once like a prized hole in the wall, a coveted invitation to relax in someone's home kitchen, a fine dining experience, and a cafe on the other side of the world where you can linger long and sip the local tea. The food was delicious, the price was reasonable, and the hospitality unmatched. Well worth a visit (or two, or...)

This is excellent spot to have a great time, great food, great fun and really enjoy the wonderful and beautiful culture and music. The owner is so very kind and respectful and truly cares about his customer's happiness! OUTSTANDING JOB! AAA+ CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Delicious fresh baked bread and breakfast options! I ordered the Fuul, and it was flavorful and healthy. Coffee is good too. It's got a nice laid-back atmosphere inside with lots of interesting East African decor. Service is a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait. The lady working there was very kind and patient in explaining the menu options.

Stopped by for a cold drink and a snack after a long bike ride. The staff went out of their way to fill my water bottles. I ordered a regular coffee and an egg sandwich. The coffee was hot, fresh and super. The egg sandwich was all fresh ingredients with fresh cut tomatoes and peppers. Super service. Looking forward to going back for more.

I live nearby and finally stopped in. The manager greeted me right away and was very kind and talked me through the menu because it was my first time. I tried a breakfast meal with egg, cheese, beans and fresh bread that was still warm and soft. It was very tasty and I will be going back.
