My friend and I did the HRW dinner with 3-courses via curbside pickup, and it was phenomenal!Houston Restaurant Week is usually my favorite time of the year where I enjoy trying different restaurants around town, and this was my first time seeing this place on the list. Turns out it ended up being a great meal!I ordered the Ethiopian empanadas, the channa masala, and the bourbon bread pudding. All 3 courses were a decent size and all were very tasty! My favorite was the channa masala - it was full of flavor and lasted for several meals afterwards. My friend tried the crawfish mac and cheese, the salmon, and the cheesecake. The crawfish mac and cheese had a kick to it and was full of crawfish!Service was awesome, and even if it was a takeout meal, all precautions were observed. We'd love to return and see the inside of the place.

My friend made brunch reservations at Dukessa. I have never heard of this place so I wasn't sure what to expect. When I arrived, we were the only patrons in the entire cafe! I did not realize that the cafe is part of an event venue. There were beautiful flower arrangements from the wedding that was held at Dukessa the night before. Our server was fantastic. Very nice and helpful with helping us make selections for our meal. He told us that some weekends it's packed for brunch, and some weekends it's not. I'm amazed that more people aren't familiar with this place.I will normally have a mimosa with brunch, but I had some drinks the night before and needed to rehydrate. I opted for the fresh squeezed mango juice. It took some time to come out, but when it did, it was very good and refreshing! Definitely worth the $6. Our server did a great job of keeping our water glasses filled. Before we ordered, our server informed us that they ran out of lamb. Luckily I'm not much of a lamb eater so it wasn't an issue. My friend ordered the green chile mac and cheese for the table to share. It was really good and wasn't too heavy. For entrees I ordered the fried chicken biscuits and gravy. I asked for the egg to be fried hard which it was (I don't like runny yolks). My friends ordered the avocado toast and the bbq salmon quinoa bowl. We all really enjoyed our food. The bbq salmon quinoa looked AMAZING! I think I may have to try it the next time I go. For dessert we had bread pudding and it was really good and not too heavy either! It was a nice portion to share. We had a great brunch and the service was great! We're already making plans to return.

I don't eat out often during COVID-19 but when I do, I heavily research the establishment. During HRW, if you reserve a table they greet you with a complimentary glass of champagne! It paired perfect with my bourbon bread pudding! It rained an hour before our reservation so the patio was closed. Luckily the manager was extremely accommodating and set up a table just for my group of friends, talk about exclusive! We were safely distanced from other patrons, enjoying yummy cocktails under the trees! You have to try the salmon, trust me. And the bread pudding walked straight out of NOLA, I'm a Louisiana native...I would know. Grateful for the amazing customer service. Can't wait to visit for Sunday Brunch.

My family and I went to this new restaurant for my mom's birthday lunch, and it was such a great experience. The space is beautiful--it's part of a larger venue usually used for weddings, but the restaurant part is airy yet cozy. There is variety of seating set-ups, and the decor is a nice mix of contemporary and vintage. Outside there is a gorgeous patio area you can explore. Our waiter was so kind and attentive, and the chef even came out to welcome us and tell us about his plans for the locale going forward. The food was all really good and reasonably priced, and I liked that there were lots of vegetarian options. They have wine and beer but also delicious juices, like the carrot and dragon fruit one I got. At the end of our meal our server brought out an amazing bread pudding for my mom's celebration, and it was so rich and delicious (and big!), that we all got to share.Right now they are only open for weekday lunches, but are planning to expand to brunch and dinner. This would be great spot for a chic-yet-friendly meal with friends, or a romantic date night that feels special but is also unpretentious. Come support this gem!

First time here, the atmosphere is quite beautiful from what I understand it's a reception hall That serves brunch on Sunday's. We sat in the foyer which is very open and overlooks the garden. We ordered the empanadas and it was very fluffy and crispy filled seasoned beef, delicious. We also got the omelette and chicken biscuits, both were very tasty but the chicken and biscuits was amazing! The biscuit was fluffy, buttery and crispy on the edges, chicken n gravy was seasoned well and the egg was cooked perfectly. Mimosas were also good. Service was good. Overall was a great experience and would come back.

We were there for my girlfriend farewell lunch. The decor is nice but very quiet as not a lot of people knew this place I believe. Food was pretty good but my duck confit was too dry. Our server was a bit slow and we have to grab his attention despite we were the only big table with 8 pac there plus one other couple table. It's a good place for having event there and parking is easy.

We are visiting during restaurant week at lunch. Already I am blown away by the drink, blue lemon drop, the goat cheese salad and the Ethiopian empanadas. We have not left yet and my wife and I can't wait to come back.

Incredible Pecan Pie French Toast! Great venue which has, historically, been used for events only now offers lunch and brunch. Destined to be one of the great Sunday Funday stops.

We were actually scheduled to go to brunch at a restaurant about 5 miles from this place. On getting to that restaurant, we were asked to pay $20 to self park at the restaurant. This didn't sit right with us so we searched and found 2804 Cafe at Dukessa and boy was it a blessing in disguise!! First of, we were starving!! The place was pretty empty since they had just opened. For starters we ordered the green Chile Mac and cheese, margherita flatbread, steak and caramelized onion flatbread and the Ethiopian beef empanadas. When I tell you everything tasted so amazing!!! It took a while for it to come but it was definitely worth the wait. For drinks we ordered the French 75 which was pretty good as well. For my main meal I had the blackened salmon and jambalaya. For someone who lived in Louisiana and I have eaten authentic Cajun cuisine, this jambalaya was AMAZING. The salmon was also cooked to perfection. Aside from the food being really good, the service was great as well. We ended up being offered complimentary tiramisu. I'm not a fan on tiramisu but my friends like it. I will definitely return here again for brunch. Amazing food, great service. Really impressive.
