We decided to try this place after craving barbecue one day and driving by the restaurant quite a few times before. We ordered via Yelp for pickup. We each had the three meat combo with two sides. I had the pork ribs, spicy sausage, and chopped brisket with macaroni and cheese and baked beans. The other side we tried was the loaded potato salad. Everything was pretty good. I really wanted to try their beef ribs, but they only have those on Fridays and Saturdays.The restaurant itself is pretty nice in size and the young ladies who helped with our order were welcoming and really nice. I want to go back and have a meal inside the restaurant. They have beer on draft (which I LOVE)!!! I look forward to trying them again!

I am visiting the area for a couple months and in search of Austin-type bbq. I saw this place while driving through the area and was excited to try it, given the high feedback rating. Unfortunately meats fell quite short of the expectations I had.The service and the space are great. I placed the order and took a seat while I waited for my carryout order. The young lady who took the order was super-friendly and she gave me a complimentary sweet tea. She's definitely a 5 and I appreciated her kindness.As I sat there, I got nervous because there was zero smell of smoke in the space. I can't remember the last time I've been in a bbq spot and didn't smell the smoker or the smoked meat. My order came out and put the food in my trunk and headed home.When I got home, I announced my arrival to the fam and we opened our "gifts". Sadly we all were very disappointed with all the meats I brought home.The ribs were dry but the brisket was moist (mostly). The spicy sausage was good but was not spicy, though we could see jalapeño pieces. The grain, texture and chew was great. The burnt ends were horrible and dry. The sauce tasted like teriyaki and the pickles tasted straight from the jar from Kroger. The fresh onion slice was perfect.I won't be back even if the owners offer to "make things right" or replace the food. BBQ should reek of smoke. My car should have smelled like the interior of a smoker by the end of my 30 minute ride home. The smokey aroma of wood should have circulated through my home when I walked to the kitchen causing excitement and a frenzy around the kitchen island. There was no smokey flavor in the bbq....or flavor.I hate leaving feedback sharing my disappointment especially when the people I encountered there are nice people. I wish her the best and I'll leave the photos here for you all to make your own judgment. This is a no for me. SorryI tried posting this review on Google and after several days, it's still unviewable so I suspect there's some funny business going on with that resource....or the restaurant. Very interest.

The food was really good. Brisket and sausage had great flavor and the sides were well seasoned. The place is nice and comfortable. The issue is $28 for a 2 meat plate and an iced tea is ridiculous. There was a sign on the door that said due to inflation prices had gone up. I understand the concept but there's a point were folks will stop coming in.

I wasn't that impressed. I had the two meat plate with moist beef and sausage. The sausage was a single link and was pretty good. The beef was OK, but was just served in a small pile on the side of the tray. Not a good presentation by any means.

We have been to all Texas Monthly's top 50 BBQ joints and this deserves a place on the list. Lean brisket was a little dry, but great flavor. Pulled pork was outstanding, and Turkey was good. The sides are awesome. Their baked potato salad is my favorite anywhere, sweet potato casserole is a great desert. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will be back.

You won't find many BBQ places with a drive-up window, which was a pleasant surprise. I have my furbaby with me a lot, so it's needed for me. But I'm beginning to learn that's a Houston bonus: the drive-up windows. Another thing I liked was that the menu was very specific and easy to read. Also, pick-up is at these two cute red doors. A nice guy came out with a big smile, and he even said hi to my Lulu. I also like that the BBQ had a hometown backyard taste. The ribs stood out from the other places I have visited so far. You can say it was that long ago good flavor taste we all used to know. It had the right amount of flavor, not too much, and the meat practically fell off the bones. The string beans had a lot of flavor, too, and the cheese corn was my favorite. Hmm, I wondered if they have their own seasoning for sale.

This is our normal go-to for BBQ. But we had a bad experience tonight. We ordered through Door Dash which arrived on time. The brisket was nothing but fat that was too greasy and did not taste good. We ordered fries as a side but the amount of fries sent was really only a handful not enough for even one person. The Turkey was dry and had no flavor. Very disappointed in the entire meal.

I have been a customer since they open. Let me tell you, this is the BEST BBQ in Houston. Not only is the food amazing, I will NEVER forget their kindness with my son. My son is on the Autism spectrum and likes to wander around. He started to go towards the kitchen and I freaked out. The owner, said "I've got this" and took my son in the back to see what the kitchen looked like. It may have not been a big gesture, but it was a massive one in my mind and one I haven't forgotten. This place deserves your business!
