Zwahlen's Ice Cream & Chocolate

Friendly service. Fair pricing. Great homemade ice cream. Only three flavors available but a lot of topping choices. Worth a stop to have a great custard type ice cream.

I have lived in the area for 20 years and this has always been one of my go-to places and a place I recommend for people visiting! When you walk in, it smells AMAZING! Their ice cream is homemade and unique. They always mix up their flavors, although I've never been a big fan of their flavor of the day and like the plain vanilla. Their dessert of the month is usually delicious. They have many different toppings, my favorite is the brownie bites. They have caramel and chocolate apples and other desserts that make great gifts.

This spot gives off a nice warm, welcoming, cozy vibe! I ordered the flavor of the day which on the day that I went was Blackberry Cheesecake ice cream. I got a single scoop because I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but oh man it was DELICIOUS! The texture was so creamy and had nice frozen bits of the drupelets that just melt in your mouth. I ate indoors because there was a lot to admire from the cabin vibes to the Swedish decor and photos on the walls. Their chocolate looked really cute and yummy displayed there while waiting in line.The person that took my order was really nice and friendly.

Best Ice Cream in the area. Has a good assortment of Chocolate. Open year round. Ample indoor seating and outdoor seating.

I've passed by Zwahlen's a ton but never stopped because I wasn't really sure of what kind of store it was. I decided to finally stop in to try their ice cream and it was incredible. They don't have a lot of flavor options on any given day, but they do offer new unique flavors every other day. They have a physical copies of their monthly lineup to help you keep track. You can tell they use very high quality ingredients, which is nice, but you are paying a little more than your average scoop shop would charge. They also offer a ton of assorted chocolates and candied apples if you're looking for something other than ice cream. The shop is beautiful. You can tell they're trying to transport you to the alps with their decor. The staff was friendly and fast too. Overall it's a nice spot to treat yourself at. A little pricey, but worth it.

As part of a group for 13 women, we are always accommodated. This is place that is not just for ice cream, their candy and chocolate, covered apples and pretzels are excellent. We usually push two tables together and it's perfect.

This is the best quality ice cream in the area. It is more affordable, richer, fresher, and way better quality including in price compared to Bruster's ice cream. I am so happy with the professional service and delicious and rich ingredients.

First visit to Zwahlens, and it was a nice treat! For some reason, we always stray towards the chain ice cream places, but I'm glad we decided to try something new. I had the Apfel Krisp and my husband had the brownie sundae (forgive me I can't think of the actual Swedish name on their menu). Both were enjoyable. The apfel krisp was a bit heavier on the oats than I generally enjoy, but I did like the warm cinnamon apples. The cobbler ( dessert of the day) sounded really good and they have a huge selection if chocolate confections. Looking forward to stopping by again.

Amazing deserts and ice cream!! Not too mention their plethora of covered apples to choose from!! It's smells like desert heaven when you walk in!

Today, May 13, 2024 at approximately 6:10 PM. I entered your establishment to purchase some ice cream only to find that the three teenagers behind the counter stared me in the eyes when I said hello and ignored me. They turned right back to another and continued their conversation, never said a word to me nor the people who accompanied me. Whatever happened ever happened to manners..or pride. Anyways, horrible way to run a business. Also! consider having more than just three flavors of ice cream :) Good day!
