Zero's Sandwich Shop

Used to work downtown years and years ago and had very fond memories of this place. Was going thru town and decided to give it a try for old times sake. Just as I remembered it. Fantastic fresh bread with a hint of toasty crunch on top and excellent fillings. Kind of hidden away but definitely worth the effort to find it.

A hole in the wall gem tucked into downtown! They're only open for lunch, but they make a great option during the work week. I tried the classic zeroes sandwich (like a classic Italian but with olives) and it was delicious. The bread is insane! It's got a slight toasty crunch on the outside but is so fluffy and soft once you bite into it. It reminds me of torta bread. They definitely don't skimp you on the fillings either - I was stuffed after finishing my sandwich. The prices are great for the amount of food you get.

Love this downtown sandwich shop!! It's similar to Schlotzskys, but with better bread! Everyone mentions the bread and there's a reason for it...little bit of a crust on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. I've had most things on the menu, sandwiches and pizzas for the most part, the Zero sandwich is my jam! The food is great and the owner is even better....he Never forgets a face and he always has something funny to say. My only complaint is that all locations are downtown, and the hours are designed around daily work times...10:30 am to 2:00 pm mon- fri, closed on weekends :( it gets packed during lunch!!!I'd love to see this place expand outside of downtown and have longer open hours...maybe one day ‍

Much better than Subway or other sandwich shops.There is always a line because the sandwich is that good. The sandwich buns reminds me of torta. I love their sandwich and its well balanced sandwich with the right amount of bread and the filling. The sandwich is also selling at the right price. This place is the definition of a hidden gem, worth a thousand stars or more. I had their turkey sandwich and it was so good. The bun was nicely toasted and all the flavors came together beautifully. They also stock zapp's chips, which are my favorite. In addition to flavor, They have impeccable customer service and create such a personal relationship with their customers. When I walked into the shop the women working the register was having a conversation with a customer and it seemed like we were home. While we were eating the shop owner offered us candy and talked to us and told my friend he was proud of us for going to school and to keep going. So sweet. When we left, he let me have some free coffee which I really needed that day. This shop hit the jackpot in taste and owners. You have to support this cute local business.

Fast service and fresh, incredible sandwiches. Very basic, but very good. The bread is soft, and the meat is refreshing.

Zero's is located in Downtown next to all the enormous corporate buildings and offices. One of my mentors showed me the place, and we ate lunch here. It is super affordable and fast. You can get a sandwich, drink, and chips for less than $11, and it only takes about five minutes despite there always being a rush at lunch time. I always get the smoked turkey cheese, ans it's consistent and fresh. There's a sign outside that says something along the lines of the bread making the sandwich good, and I agree. The bread is crispy on the edges and soft in the center. Overall, if you want a fresh and cheap lunch, this is the place to go.

This place is right next to my downtown office. The bread is made fresh. I got the large roast beef but the regular would have been enough. Very good sammich.

This is my new favorite place off of Dallas street in Houston! Super clean, warm and welcoming. I am always looking for a good Rueben sandwich and I have found my place. My friend had a Turkey melt with chips and a drink. The shop maintains a great customer service vibe and their staff where fast. When we arrived their was a line coming out the shop but since the place had great reviews I was willing to risk being late to work. The line moved fast and I was able to enjoy my meal at the sandwich shop with plenty of time to spare. We will be using them for all our catering needs!
