Zama Mexican Cuisine & Margarita Bar

Their margaritas are so delish!! We had tostones and elote for appetizers, the tostones were crunchy and salty and the Guac on the top made it the perfect bite, but the elote... oh my gosh the elote was the best thing of my whole meal, I wanted to eat every single one of them on the plate! Cheesy flavorful and juicy! I had a chicken dish, I can't remember the name but it was super yumm! My brother and sister in law had items from their vegetarian menu and they were extremely pleased.Everyone was nice and full and extremely happy with their meal. The ambiance was really nice and welcoming, and our server was really attentive and sweet!

Stopped by for a quick meal with a large party. We were seated within 25 mins and the food and service was excellent! The atmosphere was festive and open, the food from apps to dessert was really good and we left saying why hadn't we been there sooner.We stopped back in the next week with our large party (10), and had a totally different experience that made us question whether we were at the same place.Our wait was quoted 20 mins, we waited 50 mins and were not provided any updates when we checked in. Our server was either over-sat or was absolutely clueless on how the progression of a meal should take place. The food was cold when it came out and we had to repeatedly ask for drink refills, napkins, silverware, etc.So I'm not sure which day was the best representation of this restaurant since we had two totally different experiences in a period of 1 week. What I will say is that I want to believe the first one was because it was good, the service fantastic, the restaurant packed and the patio serene with a rehearsal dinner under the patio lights.

Everything was so delicious here, starting with the appetizers! The street corn is very unique with a bold hint of lime flavoring, it definitely will have you craving more. The table side made guacamole was mixed perfectly well. I enjoyed every thing before my actual food came. I also ordered a margarita flight which was very plentifully. Each came in an 8-12oz glass cup which is bigger than any flight cups I've ever seen. I had a pina colada, watermelon margarita, cucumber margarita and jalapeño margarita. All were made with really fresh ingredients vs syrups which made them test flavorful and not sugary. My favorite was oddly the jalapeño margarita, then the pina colada, watermelon and lastly cucumber. All were really good tho!!! I was enjoying the start of my dinner so much that I forgot to take a picture of my dinner entree. But I ordered the birrira tacos and they were the best I ever had. They are a must try. Anything with that meat is a good selection. The meat melts in your mouth. It was made really well. My friend got chicken tacos. I tried the meat on there too. Those tasted really good also. This place is just really good at seasoning and cooking good meat. I can't wait to return to try some other menu items. I highly suggest. A great place for birthdays or if you have guest visiting and want a nice place to take them.

When in Kennesaw, Georgia, a must try! Wow the food, appetizers, drinks soooo goood. I will definitely be back. The portions were humongous! Thanks for an amazing experience.

Came here with my aunt who was in town a few weeks ago! I've been to the Marietta and Smyrna locations, but this was my first time at Zama Kennesaw. We each got steak fajitas (pictured) paired with margs and mojitos. I LOVE the mango mojito here, so tasty! The fajitas were also very very good! The salsa was just how I like it, a little smoky and perfectly spicy.Ambiance was typical Mexican restaurant, but I loved their bar and how spacious it was. The service was good, there were two bartenders working and didn't seem to be communicating very well. But we were enjoying ourselves and didn't mind clarifying our order. I try not to judge too harshly on service, but this might annoy some people looking for spotless service. I'll be back if I'm ever in the area! GREAT food option OTP.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon. We started with the brisket empanadas and they were okay. The brisket was very wet inside of the empanada, so I think I would've preferred chicken empanadas. I wouldn't order the Texas grilled nachos again because the meat to chips ratio was really bad. There were a few pieces of meat here and there but it was not a good balance with the amount of chips on the plate. I do not recommend those two menu items. However, the servers were top tier and very attentive.

This is BY FAR the best Mexican place in North Cobb / Kennesaw. No where else comes anywhere close to the customer service, food quality and energy in the restaurant. We got there at 5pm on a Saturday night and got in and out. By the time we left there was a line out the door. Excellent service staff with several people working. Everyone was in a good mood and had no problem keeping food coming out. No where else compares Hosted with excellence. Vibe was right in the bar area and restaurant- ambiance

We stopped in for lunch and a margarita for the first time. The bartender was friendly and gave us great suggestions. The chicken fajita was tasty and enough for two. There are so many different types of margaritas to try! The location is conveniently close to the highway. The interior was cozy, and I really liked the decor. It's a huge restaurant with plenty of room for a party. The manager gave us a complimentary dessert for our first visit and an appetizer voucher for our next visit. I haven't experienced such friendly customer service in a long time.

Absolutely our new favorite Mexican restaurant! The outside decor is very festive and inviting, the inside is very warm and cozy yet very open and spacious. We love the rope and basket lights throughout the room too. We were seated right away, and our waitress was very knowledgeable and carried herself very well, also made lots of great suggestions. The cucumber margarita was easily the best margarita I've ever had. I ordered the poblano peppers with chicken. It was also the best stuffed poblano I've eaten, each one was topped with either red or green sauce rather than cheese sauce. The kids meal only being $6.99 was enough for an adult and presented as well as an adult meal. We are so happy this opened and will only get Mexican here going forward.
