YUMMI JAPAN

We get takeout from here at least once a month and the positives are:Quick/accurate service. Our order is always correct and ready in less than 15 minutes Huge portions Really good rice Fresh veggies as far as I can tell negatives:The biggest negatives for me are the meats. They seem lower quality so more gristle/fat that I like For the most part it's pretty good food for the money and hits the spot when you have a quick craving for Japanese/Hibachi style food. We will definitely keep eating here, but would love to see the meats improve.

Great food! This is pretty much a take out place. Not gonna sit inside because it's mostly school cafeteria tables and chairs. Was served fairly quickly, we got chicken and beef bowls which were very good. I'd definitely go here again.

Probably not the most authentic spot around but solid food! I enjoy it and the price is definitely a good deal for the amount of food you get. I always order online and the order is always ready within 10/15 min and correct! The staff is always friendly too so this a go to for us if we don't feel like driving to Raleigh.

Best hibachi in the area. I've tried many other hibachi places and none compare to Yummi Japan. Very large food portions as well.

They hid BURNT SCALLOPS at the bottom of my plate!! If I lived close by I would have went back to get a different plate but that would still be at my own inconvenience! It sucks even though you check your food in the car to be sure it is fine, you don't dig into the food because they will do you like this. A paying customer. The Yummy Japan in Smithfield however, is delicious and never disappoints!

Unfortunately I gave this place 3 chances....First time was ok but awesome. The steamed dumplings were amazing. The rest of the food was OK.Second time....complete fail. They changed the dumplings and everything was dry and seemed like it had been sitting around for a while.3rd time not the charm.....asked for med rare steak. Got way wayyy overdone. Same thing with the chicken. Super dry. They don't care anymore. Just trying to fill orders and make $.This was my last visit.

First time trying YUMMI Japan today since my favorite Hubachi restaurant apparently has closed down.Tge previous reviews were kinda' all over the place....so I didn't know what to expect. I called in the order and it was ready upon arrival. It was warm and tasted fresh. I got the shrimp and steak combo. The rice was a large portion that filled the large compartment in the takeout tray. Reasonable portion of large shrimp that appeared to have been deveined, although I did find one that was questionable. Didn't eat that one! Then steak had a good flavor...but was a little chewy. The vegetables were good...broccoli, mushrooms , zucchini and onions. The white sauce was a little different that what I was used to...but I don't really know what it should taste like anyway. I'll just say it was white sauce. They only give you one and additional are 35 cents each. Overall...I think I will go back when the urge hits me again. Oh...sanitation grade was 98.5 on this day.

Food is top notch and will always fill you up. They certainly do not ration portions.Price is super cheap compared to other Japanese restaurants. A whole family of 5 costed less than 40 bucks.If you come here, do not expect to sit down. This is basically take-out if you want to not sit on hard chairs/benches. All in all, my personal favorite when it comes to take-out.

Fantastic value, great food at great price! A staple for me post gym when I'm looking for good portions

Omg! This place is pretty cheap for the amount of food we got. I have a son and he loved the yummy chicken with rice. Since I got the miso soup and some other diet since I'm on a diet I'm astonish and perplexed on how the bill was 20 dollars!?!?!? That's barely any compared to the amount of food. Thanks to them my child had enough to eat for 3 days. Thank you yummy Japan.
