What I got: yg og oil wonton, schezuan eggplant dumplings, Shelby Js, chicken and chives wontons, and forbidden rice pudding.Hospitality: just superb, what the standard of every establishment should be. The hosts greeted me with a radiating smile and were attentive and accurate on expected wait times. I came by myself and Rob, one of the owners, was a joy to talk to and gave wonderful insight into how everything began.Atmosphere: sit in the bar area. Watching the chefs working their magic behind the scenes is a movie. Also, the visuals of what came out just make you not even look at the menu and get one of everything. Everything was super clean and had a great openness.Food: I wish I could duplicate my stomach and order one of "everything". Everything and I mean everything felt like a mother's hug on my taste buds with a soft kiss. It is just welcoming. The yg og oil wontons ordered this one twice; you had to. The balance between fat, acidity, and spice was out of this world. The umami in the Szechuan eggplant dumplings is divine. The Shelby Js, the baos I can place my head on and fall asleep after eating all this; so soft. The dessert with the fresh toasted coconuts was not too sweet and that is the best compliment you can give any dessert.Final verdict: I wish I could transport this to Tucson and they can show what it means to meticulously look at every detail and deliver a menu that is coherent but each plate stands on its own. Go with a group of friends and literally "get one of everything".

This immediately became my favorite Asian restaurant in Denver (yes there are many Asian cuisines, this tops all of them). The one downside is the takeout ordering process. The menu changes and you can't find the current menu online. So I had to call to order and the person on the phone patiently repeated it many times for me while I figured out what I wanted. As a visual person, this was a very challenging way to order. They said it should be on Instagram, but it wasn't today. Ordering challenges aside, the food is outstanding. I'm not 100% sure what all I ordered because I couldn't keep up with trying to write it all down as they read the menu to me. The only thing I know is that it was all phenomal. My only regret is not ordering the entire menu. I will absolutely be back because this is the level of good food that is not easy to come by.

Have been salivating after Yuan Wonton of food truck notoriety for a few years now. After a couple of failed attempts to navigate the fish frenzy preordering of dumplings from her truck, I gave up and waited, hoping there would be an easier option one day. Fast forward through pandemic and my own listlessness, and finally prioritized checking it out today, long after the brick and mortar created a giant buzz. Sorry, I digress. It's been a while. Ambience, meh. Rather sterile and characterless. But clean and utilitarian, I guess. But lacking the charm a space can create to engender fondness. Tried three wonton dumpling items, the OG chili wontons, the Szechuan eggplant, and Shelby J. Thumbs up to Shelby J, a light dough and tasty pork filling. Gorgeous and delicious. Thumbs up also to OG, pretty satisfying, light fresh tasting wrappers, though maybe less notable compared to Shelby J. Eggplant disappointing. Very mushy, no texture. Would have been better if eggplant puree also had some eggplant chunks in my opinion. As it is, a soft wrapper contains an eggplant mushball that is not particularly flavorful and texturally terrible. Arancini work bc of crips exterior and mushy interior. This is mush on mush. I tried the melon granita too out of curiosity and appeal of idea. Also disappointing, sickly melon flavor, rather than fresh and bright. Maybe they used melon syrup? Not good. Little bits of not delicious melon fruit did little to help matters and overall tho I love boba, it doesn't work. Would return to try some more menu items but was disappointed on the whole, and prices are not cheap, tho everything seems pricey lately. Love the concept of shared space and am curious as to the sweets and sourdough. Hats off to creator and entrepreneur Penelope Wong despite my critique. And hope she continues to develop the menu and space.

Went for a quick lunch as a walk in! They were able to accommodate us.I enjoyed the bao and the chili wontons. The congee was really good as well. Those three were my favorite. The inside and outside seating are really nice with comfortable air conditioning. The service is friendly and very quick. Highly recommend trying at least once. It can def be pricey for $18 for 6 wontons.

5280 Magazine named this restaurant in the 2024 Top 25. And with a James Beard nominated chef, I expected it to be good. It was. I was impressed with the quality of the food, the menu selections, the cool comfortable dining area and especially the service. We arrived on time for our reservation, but unfortunately only hightop tables were available, so the hostess seated us and said as soon as a "better" table came up, she'd move us. No sooner than we ordered, she moved us, as promised. Our server, Kamaria, was a wealth of knowledge, steering us to certain dishes based on a spiciness preference. We ordered a number of small plates to share with the table. The food came out perfectly timed. The spicy peanut wonton was divine. The potstickers were hot, crisp, delicious and oozing with subtle flavors. Shelby J's bao buns were perfect. We could see Chef Wong hard at work in the kitchen. Yuan Wonton's hours are interesting as she shares restaurant space with a bakery. Get a reservation. This place will spoil you from other Asian restaurants-it's that good.

The best Asian food in Colorado! Took a friend in town here for a late lunch, and we were able to order from the afternoon delights menu as well. The dim sum is nontraditionally delicious. The chicken and ginger wontons were SO good. Loved trying the cute fairytale eggplants paired with shisitos too. Crispy pork in the salad was cooked perfectly. Love all the ube desserts

Let's just say that this place was recommended by my boyfriend's family member and since none of us had ever been, we decided to make a reservation prior to travelling to Denver. Located in a cute area which is located on Fairfax, parking seemed to be fairly easy. Then again, we went on a Friday and our reservation was for 12:15pm which worked out great as we were catching up! When they tell you it is an experience, please take their word for it. We were told about two off menu items, which we decided to try. One was a fried pork dumpling, but because she spoke too fast, we decided to give it a go and it did not disappoint at all. That crunchy later tasted almost like a crispy wonton but the flavors were delectable. The second item was practically a pork belly roll w/mushrooms, but let me tell you their sauce was amazing. We then proceeded to order the following items: Steamed Chasiu Pork Bao - Definitely enjoyed the sweet and savory aspect to this dish. Chicken & Chive Wontons in Ginger Bone Broth - reminded me of their chili oil wonton/ dumplings listed on their menu, however we wanted chicken. Shu Mai - the goji berry gave it a different flavor but it was good! We had water as we wanted to taste their flavors in its entirety. The decor was simple yet elegant at the same time! I would definitely come back again!

This place was one of the best places I have ever been to in terms of food. Like WOW--the flavors in all of the wontons was amazing and soooooo delicious. The service was fast. The staff is super friendly. The ambiance super chill and laid back. It was a bit loud in there but makes sense considering they were super busy at the time I went but other than that nothing else to complain about. I would most definitely be going back again!

We ate here a few weeks ago and it was good, not great. Super-oily wantons. Wish we'd gotten the Dan-Dan noodles - we saw them delivered to nearby tables and they looked delicious, but we already had our 3 different wantons. The service was impeccable, however. Our server was fantastic!Weird note- we happen to live nearby and after we ate here, I saw McDonald's being delivered to a woman in a chef's apron?! She took 4 McDonald's delivery bags into the restaurant, which was currently closed. Not sure what this says about the food - it could mean a lot of things, but it certainly begs the question of WHY is a chef there getting McDonald's food delivered to a restaurant that was in the running for a James Beard award??
