Yong's Bakery

I came to Houston from Atlanta for my birthday on 9/15 and I requested Yongs. I got the lemon pound cake. The cake was so moist and delicious!!!!! I knew it was going to be good but man I was pleasantly surprised! I definitely would recommend this to anyone visiting Houston.

Cakes are moist but flavor is not bold. I was excited to try the cakes. I had the lemon, pound, and butter cream I guess it would be. The lemon was the crowd pleaser. The cakes were not very sweet either. The cookies are ok, chocolate chip, sugar, and another that I can't even remember.

we have ordered twice from them. Cakes are done quickly and to perfection. Will be ordering a third custom cake soon. Their butter flavor cake is hands down the best. It isnt too sweet. Everyone with different tastes agreed this was the best flavor to get to satisfy everyone. I found them through Facebook and so happy to be a customer.

This is my second and last time ordering a cake from here. The first time my cake wasnt ready at the pick up time, the second time my ordered was cancelled literally at the time it was suppose to be ready for pickup.

The cake I ordered was designed the way I asked but the taste was horrible. The cake was not moist at all and one of the guest stated that it tasted like a box cake. I had ordered from this bakery before in the past but after this experience I will never order again. I paid too much money for a dry box cake when I was expecting something made from scratch.

Cold cake , cold and hard . Never again ! Cake taste like if had been in the freezer for a few days..

I want to say this bakery is awesome. I live in Virginia close to DC. My daughter just moved to Houston TX. I wanted to do something special for her birthday Dec 4th. I love the personal service. I ordered the cake from Ms. Yongs bakeryand the cake was delivered to my daughter on time. My daughter loved the cake. My daughter just landed in Virginia yesterday and I made sure she brought me a butter pound cake from Ms Yongs. I have been eating this cake nonstop. It is so moist and not to sweet. The flavor is amazing. I can't wait to taste the lemon cake. Thanks Ms. tong and family

Cake: beautiful and delicious! Service: very transparent and makes great suggestions. She also helped me put the boxed cake in the car to safely transport the cake with no sliding incidents.Ambiance: lots of beautiful and creative cakes. The value: I was planning a very casual celebration of my fav Aunt's 80th birthday. I picked Yong's bakery because she did my wedding cake and my sister's wedding cake. Both were very positive results. And this was no different. It was a conversation piece! Yong is also fun, you have to visit next time you need a cake.

I've ordered strawberry pound cake, lemon pound cake, and regular pound cake from this store. I think the owners has a show but at the time my friend and I wanted some good pound cake so we decided to try this place and figured out that the owners are probably from the TV show. I couldn't tell you which one or which channel.We both thought the cake had good density and the flavor wasn't cloyingly artificial. However, it could me a bit moister and it tasted as if it could have been made 1-2 days prior. The other cakes they make for special occasions look incredible!

I'm not sure what happened between now and 3 years ago but the expensive 3 layer cake that I ordered for my anniversary a couple of weeks ago was beautiful but tasted terrible! All 3 layers were super dry! My event planner mentioned Yong's Bakery did a cake for one of her events within recent weeks prior and they had the same experience. I called to let her know and she offered a discount on a future order. There will not be a future order. This cake was nowhere near the quality she made for me 3 years ago. This bakery has gone downhill. I have had much better tasting cakes from Sam's Club!
