visited for sips and had the most EXCELLENT service. it was extremely quick, staff was super nice, and the food and drinks were so good! i will definitely be coming back for dinner & karaoke soon!! (p.s. they were playing only bangers from the 2010s... fantastic choice)

Came here for SIPS happy hour and we were not disappointed! I was greeted very nicely by the staff as I walked in. I had a reservation and it was easy to check-in. The inside was on the darker side, not as brightly lit as other restaurants but I think that's the vibe they're going for. The food was really good and the happy hour prices were great for your wallet! Although, everything adds up really fast so just keep track of what you're ordering! Cannot complain about anything, everything was so delicious. I wish they had more options for the sushi specials for SIPS but that's just me loving sushi so much Lol! will definitely be coming back again soon.

Yakitori Boy: Skewered ExpectationsMy recent visit to Yakitori Boy in Chinatown was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered a variety of dishes, including the Quail Egg with Bacon, Fish Tofu, Lamb and Chicken Skewers. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to my expectations. The skewers were particularly disappointing. They mistakenly served us Beef instead of Lamb, a difference I could immediately taste. Moreover, the skewers lacked flavor, leaving me quite disappointed. The Seaweed Salad was average - not bad, but not particularly memorable either. However, the saving grace of the meal was the Takoyaki. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection, truly deserving of a star in its own right. The decor of the restaurant was quite dark, making it difficult to fully appreciate the ambiance. However, as I was there for takeout, thus did not significantly impact my experience. On a positive note, the service was relatively quick. I was able to order and pick up my food within 15 minutes. The pricing was reasonable, but considering the overall quality of the food, it didn't feel like great value for money. In conclusion, while Yakitori Boy had its moments (the Takoyaki being a notable highlight), the overall experience left something to be desired.

This is purely a review of the karaoke lounge experience, not the food.We came on a Saturday night and paid a $10 cover that included all the songs. There's a free coat check, which is always a plus. There are options to rent private rooms or a table in the lounge, but the private rooms are quite expensive with a $300 food and drink minimum for the smallest room, so we just did the public karaoke lounge. The lounge is also quite small since it's right in front of the bar, but you ask the bartender for a song slip to give to the host. Fun experience for karaoke and cheaper than a private room, but it definitely can get overwhelming in the small space. We ordered drinks but when we got the bill, it wasn't an itemized receipt, so that threw us off. The receipt just had the total, but 5 green tea shots, two tequila sunrises, and 2 Angry Orchards came out to a little over $100 after tip.

Decided to drop in after they had a chalk board advertising late night specials. Unfortunately those were mainly late night happy hour specials on a Saturday from 10pm-12pm that catered to the college crowd. As it was 8:30 we were one of the last tables to wrap up eating by 9:15pm so they could clear house and make it a dance floor vibes. The food we ordered was good. It was far from anything we normally do and what I would consider a bevy of Japanese appetizers. We basically ordered one of everything. It was great but the pork buns stole the show. It was great to have a couple of NEIPAs on tap as well

A really fun place. I would skip the house sake, but definitely bring friends here for karaoke.

Decided to try this place during our visit for a bite before a show. This place was hard to find. The building was not labeled well. It was a lot smaller than I expected. We were quickly seated within a few minutes. We did have reservations.Waitress was the absolute best! She was super attentive and checked on us a lot. Each dish was brought pretty quick. We ordered:- The chicken wings which were fried crunchy and seasoned good. We enjoyed them.- We also ordered meatball kabobs which were ok.- About the steak and chicken kabobs - I typically like my meat cooked or grilled a little longer. The steak was ok but when I bit into the chicken, I had to remove it from my mouth and I asked them to take the chicken back to cook the chicken a little longer. She did. It was much better cooked a bit longer.- bacon wrapped quail eggs were like hard boiled eggs wrapped in bacon. Husband enjoyed them.-Spicy chicken noodle bowl my daughter ordered was flavorful with the veggies being more spicy but not unbearable. She liked her dish. - Chicken rice and broccoli was good.-The spring rolls come in 2s were small but tasty.-The fried dumplings were tasty. -The crème brûlée vanilla cake was good.Bar on the first floor. Street parking. We were a little disappointed that we did not have time in our schedule to to try the karaoke offered here upstairs.

The private karaoke room was just ok. The room for 8 people was too small, would be more comfortable for 5-6 people. Not sure if they let you control the temperature or they do it themselves but it was very cold in there. Rude staff, kicked us out exactly at 2am while other rooms and the bar still were full of people. My friend forgot her perfume, which was an expensive birthday gift for her that night, we called the very next morning and they claimed not to have found anything. Bathrooms definitely need more attention, 2 stalls in the ladies and both were out of toilet paper. Overall we had fun because we were in good company but for what they charge the staff should be better trained about customer service.

This review is specifically for the private karaoke rooms. The service / food / drinks were great. We rented a 12 person room out for a birthday party and for the price we were really disappointed with the karaoke system. Their song catalog was pretty lacking. I would say 90% of the songs we were looking for were not available. ( mind you these were some very popular older songs. I never experienced a karaoke bar catalog NOT having these songs. The sound system was terrible, half the songs you couldn't even hear the music in the background. The system froze up a few times as well. All and all, we enjoyed the staff and the service , but for the price for the room and not being able to sing any songs we were really looking for it wasn't worth it. I would have been willing to pay for no bottle service but a really great song catalogue and a better sound EQ. Would return for the bar and staff , but not for karaoke.
