One of the more underrated and skipped restaurants of Chinatown considering it is on the outskirts. This restaurant specializes in dishes native to Xi'an, a city/capital of Shaanxi Province in Central China. Famous dishes from this region include biangbiang noodles, Chinese meat burgers, Liangpi noodles. Came in late Friday night around 9 pm to an empty restaurant. I've here a few times so ordering was quick and painless. Went with the Chef's recommended number 5 Sautéed Spicy Chicken Noodle and the Vegetable number 5 Roasted eggplant with garlic sauce. There were two of us and we weren't too hungry and ended up taking some to go home. Both dishes tasted fine. I just wished the chicken noodle dish was spicier as advertised. I can't speak on authenticity of the dishes, but I have been here with some friends from China and they approved.

Best food for a great price! Authentic Chinese food! The service might be a little difficult sometimes because of the language barrier but it is worth it! If you pay cash, sometimes they give a discount.

Going to Xian Sizzling Wok you gotta order the Xi'an liang pi, biang biang noodles and the Chinese hamburger. It's what they are good for. The restaurant is a good addition to Chinatown. Brings about another cuisine from yet another part of China. I don't have to go to China or New York City for a good Xi'an Liang Pi. It's probably the only place in Philly where you can get Xi'an food.

Disappointed with some items a cumen beef hamburger was thin on the meat, spicy beef noodles, was a lot of heat, but lacked in flavor, pita bread soaked in lamb soup not a flavor hit either. The Dan Dan noodles that we ordered were good, as were the dry sautéed string beans. Cold chili oils noodles left me cold.

There will be many disappointments you will encounter in life for me ordering take out from Xi'an Sizzling Woks was one of them.BBQ Lamb Skewers - first time in my life I literally ran the skewers under water to get rid of the seasoning. The menu does not state this being a spicy item however this is so spicy you will be spitting like a camel after you take a bite no joke.Sour and Spice Tofu - This did not sit well with me literally. Really messed up my stomach and again there was no denotation next to the item on the menu showing this would be spicy.Wonton Soup - We have all experienced Wonton Soup that has broth that taste like dish water right? Well if you haven't order the Wonton Soup here. The Wontons themselves were not awful but the broth unedible for me.I do want to mention it may just be my taste bud preference on the BBQ Lamb as when I ran it over water the Lamb itself did taste very good when I went back to it the next day, I just couldn't eat it with the seasoning.

Xi'an Sizzling Woks is an unexpected love of mine. I came here after my friend told me that they have the best spicy beef noodles in Philly Chinatown.Their noodles are really great!!! The noodles taste and look like they're made in-house or at the very least, locally. They have a great chewy, smooth, and yummy texture and taste. The soup broth was teeming with flavor. I loved the little bits of vegetables, meat, and other ingredients. It was like a bowl of delicious, homemade noodle soup. The portion was enormous! My friend and I shared it with two appetizers and it was more than enough. We also ordered the Xi'an Liang Pi and the Tea Smoked Duck. The Liang Pi was not something we were familiar with and when it came, it wasn't what we expected at all. However, it was quite good once we passed the initial impression. The duck was delicious and smokey. It had a great deal of meat, unlike many of the other tea smoked ducks we've tried. Definitely going back for more one day! The staff was nice and more than willing to answer any questions we had. However, we did not appreciate that they began to mop the floor while we were still eating. The smell itself overpowered our food and we quickly left after that. All and all, the food is really good and worth trying if you're in the area.

Fast, inexpensive and delicious. Better than it looks from appearances. The special steamed noodles is the much better version of pork li main you didn't know you needed.

The noodle beef soup was a bit disappointing. The beef didn't taste fresh and the soup had a strange taste. The meat hamburger was also a bit disappointing because there was not a lot of meat and it was mostly bread.
