Xi’an Gourmet House

Writing this review from my couch right now because I can't stop thinking about Xi'an Gourmet House. I haven't eaten there in 2 weeks, and I miss them. I always order the spicy cumin lamb noodles. They always take my breath away. See you soon, Xi'an Gourmet House

I have heard wonderful things about this place but I was underwhelmed.This location is in the middle of Mid-town. It is hard to find street parking but there is a public parking garage you can use. They validate parking.The inside is quite small but I doubt they get so busy that you cannot find a seat. I ordered the Spicy Beef Dry Noodle with scallion pancakes. The Scallion pancakes came first. The scallion pancakes taste freshly made but they are extremely plain. The spicy beef dry noodle tasted fresh but was room temperature. The wide flat noodles are unique but not that special. I can see why others like this place but it isn't for me.

Main highlights: fast service; friendly staff; delicious noodles. Ordering is easy and fun on the kiosk. Pictures were very helpful. Dishes ranged $15-25. I enjoyed smoked duck(only comes with white rice) and pulled apart noodles with beef. Pork "burger" 肉夹馍 was good as well. Also note this restaurant inside the shopping center. Parking is plentiful.

Note: This review is for take-out / delivery only.Simple, no-frills, authentic Xi'an food at a super affordable price point. You really can't go wrong with a single item on their menu! I ordered their vegetable soup noodles, shrimp dumplings, and cucumber salad, and I was super impressed by every single item, including the portion sizes -- that was plenty of food for two people / meals and cost under $30 (including the delivery fees but not tip)! The noodles were phenomenal -- they were super wide, thick, and chewy, and they were the perfect vessel for the flavor-packed soup. I was honestly surprised by how flavorful the soup was, as I've found many Chinese restaurants struggle with vegetarian options (or maybe that's just my parents...), but the broth had a great balance of umami and spicy, and the soup was loaded up with chunks of soft tofu and a variety of veggies. I also loved their shrimp dumplings! The skin was a touch thicker than I expected, but the filling was juicy and tender, and had a bit of the shrimp's natural sweetness. The dumplings were especially tasty when dipped into the veggie broth or spicy dressing for the cucumber salad. The cucumbers were super crispy and fresh, and the dressing was a great balance of salty, savory, acidic, sweet, and spicy (both the traditional hot spicy and a sprinkling of numbing spicy). Truly can't recommend Xi'an Gourmet House enough! I adored every single thing on their menu, and it was the perfect comfort meal.

My usual is the Spicy Cumin Lamb dry noodles mild. The spice is very real. I consider myself pretty good with spice. It is one of the most delicious plates of food in Atlanta. The street parking is tough, but you can get validated for parking in the underground lot. The space is pretty small, but there are some outdoor tables you can also eat at. But anytime we go to the Fox or the Alliance, this is our go to meal.

Delicious food and great atmosphere! Loved all the cute art on the walls. Plenty of seating even though it is a small space it seemed like people rotated out quickly and were served fast. The hand pulled noodles are so delicious and the bowls come with many incredible toppings. I couldn't get enough of the noodles! But luckily the bowls are enormous, don't think I could ever finish one in a sitting by myself. Great for sharing or takeout definitely.

It was our first time here and we were greeted with such a nice server! I got the dry lamb noodles and the noodle texture was perfect. It was really filling though so I would suggest sharing a plate and ordering a side. We also got the beef scallion pancake and this was a must!!! Definitely dip the pancake in your noodle plate sauce. The restaurant is a little small though so prepare to wait if there aren't seats available or togo and enjoy at a near by park!

Fantastic biang biang noodles! Don't expect anything fancy from this spot - it's simply good food that's efficient and worthy. We came at lunchtime and there were barely any tables available. There isn't too much seating inside, but they do have space. You can order on the kiosk, or with a cashier.I got the spicy beef noodles, which was absolutely amazing. The beef was tender, flavorful, and so good with the sauce. They were also super generous with the portion size. For the biang biang noodles themselves, the texture was absolutely spot on - thick and wide and chewy, which held onto the spicy savory sauce so well. I also loved how there was a good amount of vegetables inside too.I would definitely recommend this spot, and am so glad I got the chance to try it! Might be some of my favorite biang biang noodles ever.

My favorite dish here is the spicy cumin lamb in the dry version, though all noodles are also available in a soup version. Xi'an provides parking validation for up to one hour. Note that you must initially enter your payment information through the texting interface, but you will not be charged. The staff, particularly the gentleman at the counter, is extremely friendly and helpful with any questions you might have.They also have a Duluth location inside the Jusgo supermarket food court.

Ugh love me some Xi'an Gourmet House! It always hits! Xi'an has free parking validation for 1 hour. Beware the location is rather small with only a few tables so when there is a rush or prime dinner time, be prepared to take your food to go.I ordered the spicy cumin lab dry noodle - regular spicy and it's always so good and spicy! By far my favorite item on the menu and delish! The food is always brought out hot and fresh even if it takes a bit of time when it's busy!
