Looks can definitely be deceiving and that is definitely the case with the exterior of WooJung. This sushi restaurant is in an old shopping plaza with limited parking however when you walk in you feel like you're being transported to Japan. I arrived for a late night weekday dinner on a rainy evening and there was only one other party seated at a table. My friend and I were immediately greeted handed menus and offered cold water. It is a fairly large space with many tables and beautiful art on the walls. The food was very fresh and beautifully presented. I had the shrimp tempura appetizer $11.95 that was perfectly fried and served with a few tempura vegetables. It was a difficulty decision selecting a roll, everything sounded so good and pretty interesting. With assistance from our waitress I decided to order a jalapeno business roll $19 (love the name!). It was very filling and contained very fresh fish. I wanted to order a Japanese beer but learned the restaurant is BYOB. There is a bar next door selling beer and spirits but I decided to just enjoy my meal with water. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely return.

I am in the mood for sushi tonight. We first went to Bluefin but they were "reservations only", so we came here, Woojung Sushi. My first impression of Woojung is pretty decent. It's a small restaurant but the vibe is cozy and intimate; interior design is tasteful. Although the restaurant was mostly empty, we could only sit at the sushi bar. The hostess said all tables have been reserved, but when we left, half of the tables were still empty, which bothers me a bit. I had the "crowd favorite"--Kiss of Fire. It's fun to watch them light a small fire on the tin wrap. I also ordered the simple $5 avocado roll, as I'm afraid that the kiss of fire alone may not be fulfilling. My husband had chicken and shrimp teriyaki--it comes with either salad or soup. The presentation of his dish is really good; I tried it and like the flavor too. Overall, I'm quite happy about the dining experience and would definitely come back again soon!

Just had lunch at Woojung yesterday and it was delightful! Sue, the owner, was very welcoming and attentive and their lunch specials were great. I had a sushi 2 roll lunch that came with miso and salad for $15. Rolls were fresh and very generous with ingredients. Hubby had Chef choice sushi lunch which he said was also really good. Then we shared the green tea ice cream dessert that was probably one of the nicest presentations I've seen in a long time and it was delish. Hope you make it there. We are definitely big fans.

Woojung is a really nice hidden gem! I have lived in this area for 3 years and didn't realize it was in the most unsuspecting of strip malls. The staff was very welcoming when I entered the restaurant. The space is on the smaller side, but there was ample parking in the lot.The menu is distinct, and there are so many elevated options other than your typical rolls.I thoroughly enjoyed my sushi and felt the offerings were inventive. I will absolutely return!

Sushi from WOOJUNG was a last-minute decision but it was a GREAT decision. This was my first time "experimenting" with different sushi since I'm very plain when it comes to sushi. I'm so happy that I decided to broaden my tastebuds. Everything was so fresh and the portions were plentiful! I honestly cannot remember all the rolls we ordered, but the Shrimp Tempura Rolls live rent-free in my head! So scrumptious.

WOW WOW WOW. What a great experience we had at Woojung. Snagged a reservation for a Friday evening and we were seated upon arrival. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Very impressed with their professionalism and care they have for their patrons. What we snagged--Veggie dumplings (so fresh and HOT) -Edamame (because duh. Would have loved sea salt instead of regular) -Spicy crunchy tuna -Salamon Avocado-Shrimp Tempura-Jalapeño IN YOU Business-Chicken and Broccoli Tempura All was delish and very tasty. Rolls were fresh as if the fish had been delivered that day. Will 100% be back and we just may have found our sushi place in the neighborhood. Also, they're BYOB!

Great food! The service was very good. They were attentive and helpful. The ambiance was casual, small dining area plus a sushi bar. I definitely recommend WooJung Sushi.

Went to Woojung for the first time since COVID this past week, second time eating there but the first time for dinner. My friend and I both ordered the sushi dinner. It was absolutely delicious! The tuna roll that it came with was excellent as well. The service was prompt and friendly. It doesn't look like much from the outside since it's in an odd strip mall, but the inside is clean and pleasant. Definitely check it out!

Fresh sushi, creative rolls, and decent specials. Those are my key takeaways from my vairous experiences at WOOJUNG.COVID has made me forget my experiences dining in (not that I had any particularlly good or bad experiences in house). However, service for pick up in the days of COVID has been smooth. They'll have the food ready when they say and always have suggestions if you aren't sure.I usually go with the Sashimi meal with a roll to split. I don't feel stuffed afterwards but I won't have to eat again anytime soon. I also got the Tuna Tartare on my last trip and was really happy with that app.Overall, a good sushi experience even in the times of COVID. Enjoy them while you can...
