The service was lacking. Took forever to get our drinks. This place would THRIVE with proper management and not a dishwasher in the kitchen trying to make food. The fries were old and stale, the salad station was the first thing I saw walking in and already I wanted to leave. If you have an iron stomach this is the place for you. If not and you care about quality of food I would go elsewhere.

Stopped by here on a Saturday and saw it was packed so my husband and I thought that was a good sign. Um, wrong. It's very easy to tell when a restaurant owner has thrown in the towel, has no more zest left for their craft, is just done and this place reeks of this. We had the buffet and a few beers and got outta as fast as we could. The best way to describe it, it's just nasty inside. The floors are slick with grease. The bathrooms are disgusting. When you leave you will smell! There was a leak from the ceiling and I nearly busted my ass and it was the attitude that you just work your way around it. It was gross. I pray someone there wakes up and sees the establishment for what it is. Upgrade, update, renew, and clean!

Not super busy, but service was rough. First, their tap was broken. Okay, bottles will be fine. My husband ordered a steak with veggies & mashed potatoes. I got potato skins. After multiple times telling us that our food was "almost ready", the waitress came to the table to inform my husband they were out of mashed potatoes, could they substitute something else? Uh, fine. Whatever. We were getting hangry by this point. No sooner did she walk away, his plate was brought out with grilled potatoes & onions, neither what he ordered or asked to replace their mashed potatoes. His steak was luke warm at best. My potato skins were also barely warm. Request for 2nd drinks given twice and never received. The salad bar was iffy looking, that's what I had really wanted. Most items no longer had ice bath under. We don't eat out often, it gets pricey. Definitely disappointed and will not likely revisit without hearing improvements from others first.

Horrible service, ran out of chicken, and half their menu has chicken items! only 1 or two appetizers to choose from. ...and it's only a wed night. Only one server, no cashier, nor bar tender. Dirty dirty dirty. Had to ask for the table to be cleaned from the last people that were long gone. Menus stickyAll other tables not bussed No limes for my drink...so drank water, a shiner and left..after an hour since it was such horrible service! Very sis soo yes and still very hungry!

Stopped in here after our Shiner Brewery Tour for dinner... I must say it was a BIG mistake.The waitress was not friendly but thankfully the hostess took care of us. On that note the food was worse than eating at Golden Coral! Yet with their prices you would have thought you were dining at a 5 star restaurant. When in this part of Texas my advice is to not try this place unless everything else is closed and you have no other choice.In my opinion.

I stopped eating at Werner's a long time ago but decided to give them another chance. The last time I ordered a hamburger it was so greasy that the bread was soggy all the way around and they douse the burger in whatever sauce you pick. I had ketchup and mayo. So this time I told them if they could not do that I would appreciate it. Because they are good hamburgers just not like this. Yet they still decided to serve me with this. Totally unacceptable

Greasy, dirty, poor service and possibly the worst cooks in Texas. Really bad and we tried multiple times before giving up. The fire was a blessing for some local tummies and I hope they have decide to clear out and let a real restaurant operator give Shiner and those who visit a truly great experience and not just slop after you wait as no one greets you and you sit yourself just to wait until the poorly trained and understaffed waitstaff gets to ya. I knew it's was a dump when you walk in and the entire drive way/ pick up lane, is sloshed out grease running down the way and smells like hell. Dirtiest bathrooms in Shiner.
