YESSSSS!!!! Fav taiwanese place in town. But please please please try their za jiang mian! I have not seen it done the true taiwanese way anywhere else- it tastes so homey and unique and yummy. The fermented tofu was also very delicious. Personally, I would stay away from the popcorn chicken and chicken nuggets and also the beef noodle soup, but to each their own!The owner is the sweetest lady in the world. Google says they close at 9, but apparently they close at 7 pm every day fyi! My group of friends came at 8 pm one night and wasnt aware of the closure time, but the owner lady still made us 5 bowls of za jiang mian and added extra noodles just for us!! All her chefs had already left too. I love this place, truely a sugar land gem tucked inside welfresh supermarket.

I'm very upset with myself for not checking this place out earlier. While Highway 6 is surprisingly packed with Asian grocery stores, this hidden gem inside Welfresh Market has a lot of great Taiwanese food for relatively cheap. No need to shop on an empty stomach when you have this convenient spot! The Taiwanese popcorn chicken rice bowl I ate in the small section of the grocery store was misleading, but in a good way! I thought it would just be chicken and rice in a small bowl, but this bento-like presentation was really nice and full of good sides. Not the biggest fan of bittermelon usually, but they made it taste pretty good, all things considered. The other veggies completed the meal, and I'm excited to come back and try more!I also got a regular mango green tea to drink with my meal and it was some of the best I've had along the highway.

Come here to satisfy your noodles and rice bowls, milk tea, boba and tea cravings! Wintermelon milk tea is delicious. You can adjust ice and sugar. At 30%, it was less sweet than I thought it would be and was perfect! They use non-dairy creamer in their milk teas. Sesame milk tea was ok. It separates and tastes like a milk tea mixed with some sesame instead of a well combined drink. I would pick a different one to get next time. Their boba is perfectly soft, chewy and colorful.Pork Chop and Fish fillet Rice bowls - sooo good. We loved it. Even eating it 1-2 hours later, it was delicious. Comes with plenty of meat, rice, and veggies. The only lackluster part was the egg, which had not much flavor. Great prices, and delicious food and drinks.

The first time I came here, I had no idea what to order. Also, we did not intend to dine-in, so I grabbed a few ready-to-go food to try: pork and century egg congee soup, braised pork belly by the pound, and mixed meat and veggies vermicelli. In general, all tasted homemade. It's not overly salty or enhanced with MSG. The royal milk tea was also good. Everything was fairly priced. The staff were nice and super helpful. The cashier saw my pregnant belly and offered to carry a box of items I bought to my cart. I really appreciated such good attention to service! I would love to come back to eat at the restaurant. I saw people were refilling their iced tea and water. I guess it is complimentary.

Pros: quick and speedy service. HUGE variety of food choices. The food is also relatively inexpensive. Cons: I found all of the food I ordered to be greasy and very salty. The Taiwanese popcorn chicken and the fried pork chop tasted good but were absolutely dripping with oil. The broth that my pork chop noodle soup was served with was also swimming with grease. I'm not sure I will return even though it's so conveniently located inside of Wel-Fresh. They also had gua bao, but I didn't get any this time.

I always come here for lunch with my family every time we shop at Welfresh supermarket. The staff is very nice and attentive. Food is superb. I usually order the Taiwanese style beef noodle soup and popcorn chicken. My go-to place when we go to Sugar Land.

Located inside of Welfresh Taiwanese Market. It's in the leftmost interior front corner of the store. Decent selection on teas and smoothies, no slushes/ice based fruit or tea drinks. Had a class milk tea with boba. Yea was great, the boba was a little undercooked. I was fine with sweetness but it was a little less sweet than other boba places. Guy at the counter was helpful and fast.

TLDR: Wel-Meh. Visit: Lunch Order:Pork Chop Rice Bowl6.8/10While everything was fresh, it was rather basic. The chop had decent flavor and was a bit oily, and overall, I wouldn't say it would be anything to come back for. Not much to say, and that says it all.

I purchased the 6.99 3 item lunch special. Sat down with my 2 year old daughter to enjoy the lunch. After a couple of bites my daughter told me that she wanted some water. They have a self service area water and tea area. As I approached the table, the male server was quick to deny me water saying "water is for people who order from the menu NOT FOR LUNCH SPECIAL people." There is NO SIGN that says lunch special does not come with water. I quickly packed up to go get water for my daughter in the car. I was shocked that they couldn't spare a Styrofoam cup and some water for a PAYING CUSTOMER. I definitely will NOT be coming back. BTW the food is also a little on the salty side, that's why my daughter wanted some water.
