Warique Peruvian Food

The food is GREAT here! The menu is authentic and tastier than I expected. The meat was really juicy and their ají sauce is the bomb. I highly recommend the chicharrón sandwich.

The lomo saltado and chicha morada were excellent. The sirloin was cooked perfectly. Just seared and tender. I like how the cook separated the fried potato, stir fry, rice, and two salsas. Allows you to get a perfect balance when taking bites.

This place has amazing food and the people running it are so gracious and nice. I had the beef tenderloin which was better than most steakhouses in the area, and the ceviche was delicious! Highly recommend you sit outside on a nice day and enjoy the incredible food!

The shack is located right next to the gas station facing the street. It can be missed if you're not looking for it. The exterior looks nice and clean and I love the patio deck where you can sit and eat. The place has only been open for 8 month. The lady taking our order was very nice and service is good. The food took a little while but that's because they make it fresh to order. The food came out hot. Now on to the food reviewThe lomo saltado - portion is on par with pricing. I wish they gave a bit more rice as it wasn't enough. The sauce that came with the meat is a tad too salty for my taste. They gave a good amount of meat and they were very tender. The flavor is decent but didn't have the oompf that made me go wow. Nonetheless it wasn't bad.Pan con chicharron - the sandwich was bigger than I thought. They gave plenty of meat which was great! However my bf prefer it to be served on sourdough bread. The sweet potatoes were fries instead of fresh slices of fried sweet potatoes. The sandwich needed a bit more onion. The rocoto sauce and aji amarillo sauce were good but it wasn't spicy at all. I personally liked my bf sandwich and the lime taste. Mango drink - for $3 this was amazing! Taste fresh and not artificial. Very refreshing.Overall the food was decent coming from a shack. The pricing is food truck pricing and not a bad deal. However my bf is from Peru and think the food is mediocre and didn't satisfy his craving.

I was working in this neighborhood a couple of weeks ago and saw this place, what I thought was a taco truck, lol. It is not...I was starving, looking for food, hot as hell out, it's the Covid era, everything sucks right now (exaggerating but y'all know what I'm talking about) as far as food quality goes except this place I'm telling you if you read this review especially elite yelp members, y'all have got to pop in here and check this place out in Katy. Met the owners, hearts and minds are in this food I assure you it's ridiculously obvious when you try it and that's not any exaggeration check it out, unbelievable.I was in Katy working again today and popped back in to try something new, which didn't disappoint. I had a chicken sandwich the first time and beef tenderloin this time. Very impressive. When someone loves there job you can tell, and that's what this is, everyone knows how hard that is to get in a bigger restaurant.
