Ward 8

Food was good.Service was not.It was late after a Bruins game, so I will give them a pass on the service aspect.But I am hesitant to return after my experience there.

My cousin and I stopped in recently for a bite to eat and a couple of cocktails before a show at the garden. If you're looking for a cute spot with craft cocktails that's within walking distance but offers a more intimate atmosphere then I would definitely recommend checking them out. We ordered the flat bread and duck wings for food. The flat bread was fine, a little dry and not exactly bursting with flavor. The duck wings on the other hand were excellent. Packed with flavor and the meat melted off the bone. Would highly recommend adding them to your order. We didn't explore the entrees but the menu in whole looked appetizing. The drinks were creative enough without being intimidating and were quite tasty. If you're an herbal lover like me then the Scarborough fair is a must try! Our servers were friendly and attentive offering great recommendations for drinks. Overall a really nice time in a really cute spot.

We came before a concert in August. I'm not sure if the ac wasn't working but they had the windows opened and fans on, it was so hot. We ordered a few drinks, the margarita tasted like tequila water.. made in a cute glass but wasn't fun to drink. Ordered the ward 8 bowl without sour cream and Mac and cheese. The bowl was pretty good, a lot more spinach than I expected, but carrots and broccolini were yummy.

Good Food and Cheap BeersI went here at the last minute with a friend before an AEW event and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was very nice and had a range of selections. We both ended up getting the burger and it was excellent and perfectly cooked. There was also a great selection of cocktails and reasonably priced oysters! It took a little longer than I would have expected for our food to arrive but not outrageously so. Service was friendly and I would definitely go back before my next visit to the Garden.Tip: Hamms Cans for 4 bucksThanks

Corned beef hash was amazing. Service was good, what you'd expect from a brunch place. Nice location

Came here for a Saturday brunch - $5 mimosas were a nice draw for our group! We were seated by the window and it was frigid, so we kept our coats on the whole time but hey it is winter in Boston. Per our waiters recommendation I tried the chicken sandwich and it was quite tasty and I loved the home fries. They were really well seasoned. The only knock on this place was we ordered 2 sodas and reminded the waiter 3 times and still never got them.

Came here with my co-worker after dinner because it was close to the hotel we were staying at. We enjoyed the drinks and since we are from the West Coast (it being my first time in the area) we asked the server of any recs and he did not disappoint! drinks are strong, snacks were just ok, but the inside is a nice open space. perfect for a large gathering. it was around 11pm when we arrived i think and the taylor swift concert just ended- we saw a lot of swifties! lol

Ward 8 came in super clutch on a cold night out in Boston. We had tried to grab a drink at 3 other spots in the North End but the lines were out the door and we didn't want to stand outside in the freezing cold. We looked up nearby cocktail bars and Ward 8 came up. It was only a 6 minute walk from where we were so we pressed our luck and there was no wait! We felt like we were defrosting just from standing at the hostess table. Warmth! Victory! :)We came for drinks and they were all great! My friend got the espresso martini and she seemed to really like that. Another friend tried the Jack Rose fruity drink and she also enjoyed sipping on it while we sat and talked.A cute vibe inside -- low lit and a young adult crowd (everyone there was about our age). Located right around the corner from the T and near the Garden!

Went to Ward 8 because we heard about the $5 mimosa deal (which is great)! However, was a bit disappointed in the rest of the meal.The quality of the food was fine, but I ordered the Ward 8 Bowl which said it had Hot Honey on it. It did not- it was more of like a ranch dressing. My friend I was with ordered the egg white and spinach omelette and he was given the bacon omelette instead.I probably wouldn't go again for brunch, but would possibly try dinner.

Thankfully we chose this open air (weather permitting) restaurant instead of the Yelp suggested ones, which aren't as fresh. You know food is freshly made when Crab (Cake Eggs) Benedict is on the brunch menu, perfectly done, and fruit salad has fresh pineapple as well as berries. Our salad was fresh and healthier ingredients, including quinoa, than most restaurants. and the roasted potatoes were hot and somewhat crisp on outside. Service was very good, which is not the case everywhere in the area. My only criticism was i thought coffee, while definitely freshly brewed, is more bitter than I prefer, whether bc they need to clean out the pot with vinegar and water, change brand, or is just my (expensive coffee) taste preference. We had a marvelous early brunch. They also have some appealing cocktails on the menu and what looks like a full bar of options, which I'd like to enjoy had it not been so early, and we gonna sightsee all afternoon.
