The lomo saltado was delicious! Great food and great service. The salchipapas were a favorite for my kids as well.

I love authentic Peruvian food...I tried the Lomo Saltado and ceviche, and I can tell you, Wanka has the best Peruvian dishes in Houston! I really loved it.

Good food, made quick! Didn't have the chicken tonight though, but rest of what we ordered was great!

My apartment is starting to feature a different food truck every other Tuesday, which I think is fantastic because we rarely get an assortment in Spring. Wanka Peruvian was first on the block! The food truck guy was friendly, and the food came out in less than 5 minutes. I wanted to order a few dishes from them, but I restrained myself and went with the 1/4 rotisserie chicken with fries. The menu we got said it came with a salad, but there wasn't. In its place was rice. So, rice and fries. Carb on carb. Lol. Rotisserie chicken: Very tender. You can taste the rosemary seasoning on the skin. Otherwise, if you're just eating the meat, there's no flavor. I made my own dipping sauce with Hellman's mayo and spicy ketchup from Whataburger.Rice: I guess the rice made up for the lack of salt or flavor in the chicken meat because it was salted nicely and cooked to perfection. Hard to tell if this was a long grain or basmati rice. I enjoyed it with the chicken. Fries: The fries were cut steak style and sprinkled with salt and coarse black pepper. The taste was AMAZING. When I first took a bite, I thought it was cooked in peanut oil, or maybe it was cooked with the yucca fries cause it had the same flavor. The portions were small for the price. I'm used to food trucks giving bigger portions. If they adjust their portions and seasoning the chicken (not just the skin), they have the potential to be a great food truck. This food truck came to our apartment complex. We ordered the "Lomo Salteado" Sandwich. It was $13 for fries and the sandwich. When we got it, we saw that it only had about 10 pieces of meat and the rest was onions and red pepper. Considering other food trucks we've eaten at, this was pricier and it was less portions. For the price that we paid for the sandwich, we expected more. The seasoning of the meat wasn't that great neither. We also had the fried yucca for $7. It was really hard and stale.

Worst food truck I've lost money to by far! This food truck came to my apartment located in City Centre on a Tuesday evening. I had my wife go down stairs to pick up some food we decided on. My wife ordered the rotisserie chicken, I had the Lomo Saltada grass fed beef tenderloin with rice and fries. Let me keep it short, don't waist your money on this truck...my white rice was balled up, I can tell it was made since the morning or early afternoon. The sirloin needed some major seasoning as it was overcooked with no flavor. The french fries that came with it was mediocre. My wife's chicken was very old and tough with no flavor as well! To top it off the yucca side order was a joke...hard and stale. This place should be called Wacko Peruvian Fushion!!

The place itself is nice to go and eat outdoors. The man was really nice the lomo saltado was not bad but the ceviche was not what i expected it was plain. Overall the food didn't have the Peruvian flavor i was craving for

Their food truck came by for one of our apartment's Food Truck Friday's and it was amazing!! Awesome food and an even better chef! We had the sachipapas and lomo saltado and they were a dream!!
