The donut was okay, but for me it was not worth the hype - at least not on this visit. We went in the late afternoon, so maybe it was the wrong time of day, because the donut tasted day-old. I tried taking them home and warming it slightly which helped, but not much. The doughnuts are larger than at most shops around town, and there are some interesting toppings/flavors. IF I return, I'll try something different, and I'll update my review if necessary.

We got the banana cream, maple, Oreo, grape, maple bacon, and maple cream. They were just okay. I thought they were a bit dry, and the ones that were supposed to have filling barely had anything in them. They do have a large variety of donut toppings to choose from, and service was fast. There were a couple of small tables to sit at.

I'd never heard of them before, but when I was driving by I had to make a quick turn to try it out. I'm guessing they get pretty busy because of the corrals. I do wish their displays were a bit easier to scan through. I can imagine in a full shop that it's hard to see what's available without getting out of line. The options were really varied and exciting. I wanted to try a ton of different things, but picked one and asked the person checking me out to recommend something. They were very nice and I felt welcome. The buttermilk bar is great. While the one they recommended was good, it wasn't quite as good as the buttermilk. The LGBTQ+ banner in the hallway to the bathrooms made me that much happier and comfortable. If I'm ever in Houston again, I'll be back.

I wished I lived in Houston so I could experience this donuts frequently. There are so many different flavor options including several vegan ones. There is something for everyone from the old fashioned glaze to the guava colada. We went the raised glazed, blueberry cake, maple old fashioned, apple fritter and sprinkle cake. I personally loved the blueberry cake and maple old fashioned. The apple fritter is huge! We ate the donuts to fast I forgot to get a picture. The donut flavors are on a menu on the outside and then you place your order inside. They have a few different dozen options but you can mix them. If you aren't at dozen but close, I'd recommend ringing the donuts up separately and doing a price comparison to see if makes sense or get the dozen. The cashier was helpful in guiding our decision since we weren't right at a dozen. The inside was cute. I really loved the decor and all of the small touches that really leaned into the theme. They also have a few beverage options like coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc if you want to pair your donut with something. I'm definitely coming back here next time I'm in Houston.

Every once in awhile, my sweet tooth kicks in and one of my favorite comfort sweet treats is a good ole donut. Voodoo is my late night option when the cravings hit. Bonus is that they are open 24 hours. When Voodoo decided to come to Houston, they started at this location. Now there are two other locations as well. The lot is small here, but they do have a drive thru. I always go in so I can see all the creations in person. Customer service is hit or miss depending on when you come in. This is an in and out kinda place in my opinion so it's whatever. As far as variety, this place has the craziest donut creations. You can get a voodoo doll donut, a maple blazer blunt or even a cock n' balls. Not sure what that taste likes. You also have vegan options here as well. I don't like anything overly sweet with lots of jellies or creams so I always stick to my favorite apple fritter or a buttermilk bar. Don't sleep on them old fashioned donuts either. All these go great with a good cup or coffee or a cold glass of milk.I don't come here often, but it is one of my go to places when the sweet tooth kicks in late at night. I will be back.

Voodoo Doughnut for dessert. Yes, definitely. Lots for parking available and yes it's free. So the service here is walk in look at the menu pick out the doughnut you want, pay and then eat!!The ambiance here is simple. They have a few tables to sit and eat. The doughnuts are delicious and have cool names and great personalities. The pink boxes for the doughnuts are the most.

This was our first time at Voodoo Donut. The hype is not misplaced, this wonderful establishment is glorious! The donuts were enormous and very tasty. I wish we had one in Kansas City, where I live, because there are no good donuts here. Y'all in Houston are lucky. Go get you eat on at this place.

When I used to live in Austin, there was a newly built Voodoo Donut location just 10 minutes from me, now that I'm back in Houston, all of the locations are pretty much far out so that means that I am not able to frequent it as much as I would like. I prefer this location because of the accessible drive-through. The other locations in Houston are walk-in. However, the drive-through speaker sucks. They either can hear you or they can't. You can scream and they still will say that they can't hear you. They should get that thing fixed. Now, I come here because of the vegan donut options. It is not easy to find vegan donuts in Houston. It is pretty hard because not a lot of places serve vegans as well as non-vegans. My favorite donuts to get are maple bar and maple creme. They are so sweet and hit the spot every time. The donut bread is light, airy, and fluffy. The creme is subtly sweet, but not overpowering. The maple glaze is the best part.

Apple fritter was great. A bit pricey though at 4.50. I really enjoyed the simple cinnamon and sugar donut for 1.50 too. Inside is no frills.
