Voghera Apericena

I went here last night. They had a delicious clams w spaghetti and burrata appetizer.They also ordered the wrong pasta for us at first, so we got to keep it and it was a seafood spicy red sauce (not cream). I was very impressed with the food, wine, service, everything really. Great spot and I look forward to coming back soon to try the other menu items!

Popped in for a girls night on a Monday night and the place was fairly empty. The restaurant is actually quite spacious and seems like it could accommodate larger parties as well. Service is curt which is just a cultural thing and we didn't mind it at all. We enjoyed all the dishes we got though we did request a few extras (e.g. salt, extra olives, etc) to enhance the flavors because some of it was bland. An okay experience and wouldn't be my first choice but definitely just worth a taste if you haven't been. Location is also fun with other bars and ice cream options.

Filled with excitement to try this new place down the street from my house so I made a reservation. The hostess very welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was a gentleman albeit a little aloof. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays. Lightning was a bit too dark for my liking and the booth we were in was covered in velvet making it hard to get in and out. I tried their tasting menu and I was most impressed with the flavor and texture of the cheeses and the way the salads were dressed. The dishes complemented each other nicely. I was hoping to get a better wine recommendation. The price was a bit high but that didn't stop people from coming in, the dining room was probably 2/3 full when I left. Couples kept coming in apparently for date night.

Went here for date night and it was such a great experience! Our waiter Mo was attentive and we never had to wait long for anything, including the food. My partner and I both got a glass of wine (red for him, rosé for me) and ordered a few plates to share. Calamari, gnocchi, and the melon arugula salad. I typically don't like seafood, but the calamari was cooked in a delicious garlic oil and the sauce paired so well with it, that I was able to ignore my preconceptions. Everything was great and we ended dinner with a delicious moist tiramisu.

From top to bottom, beginning to end....this place is top notch! Bolognese, Ravis, Gnocchi....fantastic!

Food was fantastic. Truly Italian authentic! Service was lovely. Ambience is dark and sexy and cozy. Would recommend for date nights. Luxurious selection of wine as well.

This is my third visit to @voghera_apericena, and I still can't get over how much I love this place as a romantic spot in town. The low lights, cozy atmosphere, and the overall ambience make it the perfect setting for a date night. It's definitely conducive to having a lovely conversation, and even the bar oozes love and intimacy. Everything here is top notch, and I can't wait to visit them again soon. In this part of town, they're a true gem! *Apericena is derived from the words APERITIVO (happy hour) and CENA (dinner). They opened their doors in 2021 and they are busy! Amazing!!! I love Voghera. I can't say enough wonderful things about my about the staff,owner, food and experiments I have had here. I have been to Voghera for two events and other times for happy hour. The events are a wonderful way to learn about the restaurant, history of the dishes. If you only one dish it had to be momma's risotto. The best risotto I have ever had and I am a risotto connoisseur. Also don't skip dessert and get the tiramisu. The only thing as good as the food is the wine pairing and aperol spritz.

Excellent service by Carletto and the rest of their staff.Happy Hour Bruschetta Clastica was very nice. $8The Mista salad was good. $10With menu for the Insalata Estiva said lemon and olive oil dressing however to me it tasted mainly like mostly vinegar plus a small amount of olive oil. Way too much vinegar for me. $10The basic Risotto Milanese was good. 20With the Risotto Al Nero Di Seppia I had hoped for more octopus. The basil pistachio pesto was a bit too dense for me. Overall a descent meal. $28What I especially liked about Voghera was their excellent service as well as the feel of being in Italy. The 4 different menus all with the exact same looking covers was a bit overwhelming.

My wife and I enjoyed another terrific meal here last night. The food, as always, was excellent. Sea bass and butternut squash ravioli. What also sets this place apart are the service and ambiance. Most of the servers have been there since day one and they are so friendly. The owners always seem to be there and smile and greet all the guests. The restaurant inside is beautiful. With many of the employees speaking Italian, you feel like you are dining on an outside table in an Italian city. Perfect spot.
