Food is very good and authentic. Their spicy salsa is my fave! I've had there Tacos, Pollo Zapata and carne azada and with a little of that spicy salsa! Ugh soooo good! I've been happy with every dish. I am also very impressed with how clean this restaurant is everything is from utensils, plates, restrooms and even ceiling tiles are spotless! ( Yes I am an observer I even checked the ceiling tiles.. lol) The service is also very good. I've usually gone in lunch time and the waitress we've had always greeted my group and I with a kind smile and great attitude she's very attentive. The owner of the restaurant is very attentive as well I've seen him go table to table asking costumers if they're pleased with the food. I could tell he cares for his business and costumers. What I will add is that the restaurant seems not to have too much traffic. I don't understand why.. since food and service are good, I wonder if it's due to first impressions because at the beginning when we first found this place the restaurant looked closed. I would recommend the owner putting a possible open sign or some flag outside saying open for business since people like us who are not from the area got confused because at first glance we thought the restaurant was close. (Due to not much traffic no cars parked outside either) Parking is very tight as well you'll be better off parking in the street than there parking area unless you have a very small car. I will be going back to eat more delicious authentic Mexican food! I highly recommend

My sister and brother-in-law have been telling us about this place since we moved to the area and we finally made there for dinner tonight (actually take-out). We ordered from the menu on this site and weren't exactly sure of portions so we ended up with enough food for an army. And it was all delicious. The quesadillas were the best, the grilled jalapeños were amazing, the lumpy guacamole was incredibly flavorful, the burritos were stuffed full and covered with yummy cheese sauce...start to finish, it was all fantastic. We will definitely be back.

This is the best Mexican food I've had since I moved here from Charlotte. It is family owed (Husband, Wife and their Daughter). We always order take out, but the restaurant is clean and always packed (especially Fridays and weekends). Great atmosphere to bring your family. I always get the tacos, quesadillas and tamales. My husband loves the burritos and guacamole with chips.

Local Mexican place opened on Main Street in Coats in the former Captain H&S Seafood location. There has been a few restaurants in that building over the years. We visited today to help it's economy, and support local business. The place is clean, colorful, music not too loud, overall enjoyable ambience. The chips brought to the table upon arrival were fresh, warm. The salsa is served in a small carafe with small bowls per person for dipping. We both ordered fajitas. Chicken, steak, shrimp. The portions were the perfect ratio of meat to veggies. It was served with a large portion of refried beans, side guacamole salad and two warm tortillas. Pepsi products sold here. Word has it they are applying for liquor license. We'll see, since it's Coats. Unsweetened iced tea tasted freshly brewed. Anyway, great to have another restaurant close to home. Will try their "house special" dishes next visit.

This is a hidden gem! The food is great. Pollo Zapata if you like a little heat is really a spectacular dish. I've worked around hospitality for 32 years and this place while simple, is a good place to go. the service while friendly and good, is at times a little wonky. The bus people get your drink order then someone else gets food order. Upon delivery the busboy then asked if there was anything else we wanted? Then stood there. Not sure what he expected but it got a bit awkward. I like their salsa it's fresh of course, and the food in general is very good. The folks are very friendly. Use gps as it's off the beaten path even for coats!Prices are very reasonable and you will leave with enough for a second meal most likely. Better and more unusual dishes than you get in most typical Mexican menus. GO! You'll like the food.

This is hands down my all time favorite restaurant! Ricardo and his wife always make sure that your food is delicious and that you feel welcome. It does not serve alcohol, which is it's only downside, but I will still give it 5 stars and highly recommend!!
