Good food, service and atmosphere. There was not waiting and the food did not take forever to prepare. Recommend.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here in a private dining room at the top of the stairs. First dinner out with our own dining room in 25 years. Our waiter took good care of us without being too attentive. Steaks were perfectly cooked. We both had filets Oscar. Downstairs was much homier, including crafts for sale. We will be back for a casual meal and enjoy more of the variety offered on the affordable menu. Pizza anyone?

At a birthday party of 6 one year ago (July 2022) things were less than perfect. One of our party's filet mignon was overcooked and sent back. My ribeye steak was tasty, but super salty. I did not complain and we were not upset, but I made a mental note to ask the kitchen to go light on salt next time. On a positive note, the salad bar was quite good. This year (July 2023) we had a birthday party of 8. It was an unmitigated disaster. We dined in the first small room to the right, as you enter the restaurant. Several tables were joined together to accommodate our group of 8 (6 adults and 2 children). First issue: The end table was cockeyed and wobbly. A stemmed wine glass would not have survived for long with all the erratic movement. Upon our request to fix it, the waitress shoved a pile of napkins under one leg to stabilize it. We know that this table has been like this for some time, because two of us ate there twice before, several months prior to this particular evening. We were seated at that same wobbly table. Second issue: One adult in our party was served first - a brisket - and no one else's food appeared for at least ten minutes. Out of politeness he did not feel comfortable eating when no else at the table had their food. Third issue: As time went on, with no one being served, the kids were growing fussy. Their simple order of corn dogs and fries could have, and should have, been sent out FIRST in order to keep them happy and quiet. That is standard procedure. Everyone knows this, we assumed. Fourth issue: The adult celebrating her birthday ordered crab cakes. They came out burnt, as in coal black, on the bottom. They were served burnt side down, as if she would not notice. Neat trick, there, chef. Since they were inedible, she returned them and re-ordered, but by the time they came out of the kitchen, everyone was finished and ready to go. She wrapped them as take out and ate them at home later.Fifth issue: One person in the party ordered green beans as a side dish and they came out uncooked and cold - as in refrigerator cold!Sixth issue: another adult order a side dish of asparagus and it did not come out with the meal. She had to request it again from the waitress who eventually brought it out - long after her entrée was eaten. Seventh issue: Two of us ordered the 8 oz ribeye steak. We have no complaints about the steaks. They were fine, but the menu price was $25.95. We were charged $29.95 at check out. When we mentioned this discrepancy, the staff was unapologetic and simply said, "oh, that's an old menu." So why were we given old menus? Interestingly, we read another review from a year prior which mentioned the same problem with "menu vs. cashier price" inconsistencies. Clearly, the Village Steakhouse has had at least a year to fix their menu, but they have chosen not to do so. Is it really that difficult? There is no excuse for this. We could have a raised big stink, and maybe we should have, after all the errors we put up with for this special birthday meal. And to have had a 20% mandatory gratuity (for what?) added to it all was the final insult.None of us are picky eaters or demanding people, but this evening was more than we could bear. We will never return. The Village Steakhouse has permanently lost 3 adult couples.

Ok ok hear me out..... it might be the age or it might be the fact that my coworker says I should be a food critic The is a decent place don't get me wrong but I just don't feel like the food is worth all the "rave" but it is decent.Having said this, I'm much younger so to speak than most of regulars here.Happy Eating!!!!!

Excellent food, a bit pricey and busy. But it is worth going and enjoying if you have time. It had nice ambiance with a mash of different themes and made the place feel very welcoming. Food is excellent and has a unique steak rub.

One of my favorite places for dinner and drinks. Great food in a casual environment. Nice salad bar! Excellent Steaks and the Fajita Wrap, two of my favorites when dining in, and Peperroni and Jalapeno Pizza, is my favorite to go item.

They recently took a lot of things off their menu. They don't have a lot of choices. The food has gone downhill. It use to be our favorite restaurant to go to. I did give two stars because the salad bar is always good.
