Victory Restaurant and Lounge

After a Rockets game about a month ago we stopped here for dinner and drinks. Very cute and spacious set up. The decor is modern and it was very clean. The service was pretty good. The food was just okay. We were a party of 4 and all of our food didn't come out at the same time. When my food finally came out it was cold. They fixed it but still it was cold initially. The biggest drawback is the 20% SERVICE CHARGE that is added no matter the size of the party and you are expected to tip on top of this. The worse part is that the service charge isn't disclosed ahead of time you have to review your bill on the handheld or ask for a paper copy of your receipt but by that time you've already paid the fee. The steak egg rolls are delicious! The DJ played a good selection of music and according to my friend's the hookah was "fire". Would definitely recommend trying it but be aware of the undisclosed service charge!!

The Hubby and I visited Victory in Miami and this is an exact copy of it. The ambiance was very nice and it was a vibe. It is spacious for being downtown. The Waze directions were a little difficult to follow but we found it. You do need to find a parking garage for parking. The host made sure to let us know that there is a 2 hour max on the table. Which honestly would have been fine except our waitress was slow as molasses. I will say she must have just been having an off night the other waitresses were moving with a mission! There is gratuity charged no matter the table so be aware of that! The drinks were not strong I had 2 different D'Usse and strawberry drinks and i couldn't taste the alcohol. The hubby had the lamb chops and he said they are the best he has had. The crab cake was good, but was more stuffing than crab. The salmon was cooked well but needs more creole seasoning. The Asparagus was delicious! The DJ was jamming and the music wasn't too loud you could actually have a conversation. I would go back to try the brunch menu and to try the hookah!

The energy, food and service was great! It wasn't overly busy but it did seem as if they only had 2 or 3 people working the whole floor which caused longer wait times for refills/check ins/bills but the servers were all super kind and polite.

Cute atmosphere but, I would only recommend this place if you don't mind sitting down at a club and eating among hookahs with a restaurant style menu and prices. Music and DJ extremely loud but it could have been the time we went (9pm on a Friday). Server was not personable, and was not knowledgeable of the menu or at least didn't want to provide feedback. I ordered a mojito and the chicken pesto pasta. The mojito was not fresh and crisp like they standardly come, it came from a premix. The pasta tasted good, but about an hour later I was extremely sick. Lots of photo opportunities with the well decorated area. Location isn't ideal, the valet that's closest was extremely slow. I would say park on the street and walk or use a car service.

My experience was just okay. However, I would still return. I booked this spot for my birthday. Although I had a 6pm reservation with a 15 min grace period, members of my party arrived up to 30 min late and the hostess was still kind enough to allow us to be seated (thank you!). There were a few mishaps with our orders. But whenever we informed the waitress, things were immediately fixed with no issues. The crab cakes, wings, and shrimp were a few favorites from our table. The drinks were pretty good as well. Overall, the ambience of the establishment was really nice, the DJ played some good R&B music, and despite the mishaps, our waitress and all staff members were very friendly and fair. Decent spot for a small gathering or date night. Parking anywhere in downtown Houston can be a challenge.

It was a vibe in here Customer service was on point Good food it came fast . We all had a great time in this lounge !

okay i came here a couple weeks ago with my cousin thinking we were coming during DINNER hours. WRONG! Twas a club at exactly 9:00 PM SHARP, the ghettoooooooo! So anyway, we had a dinner reservation for 9p, were seated at 9:30p. Service was very slow. I ordered the lobster fried rice and it was so good, seasoned perfectly and enough lobster throughout, my cousin ordered the seafood alfredo, gave me some to try as well and we both loved it. For drinks we ordered panty dropper, voctory dance, and the victory rita. Our only negative was the wait at the start of dinner and us being uninformed it was more of a lounge/club after 9p. not sure if I'll come back but it was cute and fun.

Dined in a party of 2, on a Saturday night. It was fairly full, and server was very unfriendly and inattentive to our table. We ordered Crab Fries, Seafood Lasagna, & the Salmon. The food was decent in presentation and taste. We made inquiry into getting hookah- that was listed on the menu for $40. When the attendant came to tell us about the flavors, she informed us that the price was $50.00, b/c of taxes. Needless to say, we did not get it. Also my date's wine was flat & tasteless. At the time of bill, we were appalled to discover that the total was $174.00. As the server hurriedly handed us the card reader, we discovered that an automatic gratuity was already factored in our bill- for a party of 2! This is ridiculous.4 out of 10!

Salmon over the rice with the asparagus.. fire!! Don't even play yourself and go get some food from there. Also the jerk wings HIT. Might want to ask for them well done (my preference) but either way you'll be satisfied with your meal.
