I paid 23 dollars for a platter that cost 12 I got a side of sweet potato pie when I ordered and paid for sweetpotato cheese pie

Food is always hot and fresh. We hot take out and ordered a family meal which saves money. Staff is pleasant and. It's not really the spot for ambiance, just grab food and go. No tables to sit, just 2 chairs in waiting area. Parking is bad also.

I gotta say, I really liked the food from this place. It was served at an event I attended, so I didn't actually visit their restaurant, also why there are no pictures to accompany this review. Victoria's provided pastries and (I believe?) the coffee in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. Had a piece of the chocolate muffin which was so yummy! I don't usually eat muffins but this was really tasty. The chocolate chips they used were some kind of milky smooth or something, idk, but definitely left an impression. An 8 on the yum factor. I had their fish for dinner and the batter they use, they way they cook, the meat was delicious-- no sauce needed-- and moist. A very enjoyable meal. I feel like theirs is the type of cooking that's delicious coz it's made with love, you know?Also learned that they are a local, small, woman-owned business, which made me super happy-- I''m proud to have been part of something that supports the community and helps women-owned businesses to be successful.

I am truly disappointed in the food that I purchased tonight. The yams were not cooked and had no flavor to them . The mac and cheese were extremely greasy and salty. The fish were horrible. The cabbage was prepared in the worst way ever. Shredded and not favorable. Why would anyone serve someone food like this. It was a waste of money. I will never return to this place. It needs to be closed down

Use to frequent here some years back. I had a taste for Buffalo shrimp so I went back here stove that's what I always ordered. Parking: street and very little spits as it is in a residential area. Atmosphere; bright and greenService: good. I phoned in my order.Food:Buffalo shrimp were small. They use to have much larger shrimp and they were butterflied back then. These shrimp werent cleaned good, so every time I ate one, a long piece of shell was left in my mouth. Big disappointment. Sautéed spinach had way too much garlic; I could not eat it. Seafood sald was just macaroni and tuna with a few very small shrimp; it had a good taste but they should not call it seafood salad. Overall my dinner wasn't great; a few disappointments. I'm not sure if I'll return.

I've been going here off and on. It is a hit or miss sometimes. What I've notice the most is the portions. In my opinion, they have gotten stingy with the amount of food they give. Everything was tasty, but for the price paid it was a let down. I ordered two chicken platters with whole legs. Mac and cheese with broccoli on one. Mashed potatoes and spinach on the other. Plus a 2 liter Pepsi. I placed my order over the phone. It was ready when I got there. Staff was cordial. When I got home, I was so disappointed that one of my chicken orders had a breast and wing instead of chicken legs. On top of that my sides were skimpy in both platters. It was very disappointing I didn't want to go back because it had been an exhausting day, so I just went ahead and ate it. The food was good. I just felt I didn't get my money's worth. Then they first started I remember them giving generous amounts on their sides. I would go there if I was really desperate for a home cooked meal I guess, or maybe I would try Jamal's Cafe who also has good food, but I've only gotten breakfast from them. Always good.

Order food Sunday evening from this place and it was the worst food I've ever had . What I ordered was the family meal which consisted of 8 pieces of chicken and two sides and I guess bread and I ordered a dessert well the did not have half the stuff on the menu and what they did send was some dry ass sweet potatoes that had no flavor dry ass rice no gravy dry ass broccoli and hard ass chicken and no dessert I will never ever eat there again this place was never like this before I will definitely tell my family and friends don't eat there anymore.
