Came here for a late lunch/ early dinner an about 4:15 on a week night. There were a few tables already seated but not busy. A girl at the bar asked if I was dining in or take out...no greeting, but at least I didn't have to stand there long. The first table I sat at wasn't clean so I chose a second one. I got my water quickly and decided on the chicken piccata. By the time I got my hands washed I had 2 garlic knots on the table. Very nicely done, warm and lots of real garlic and butter. Between the take out orders and the two previous tables it took awhile to get my food but it came hot and a good sized portion. Lots of good sauce and a few lemons on top. The chicken was very thin....but the sauce was so good it didn't matter. Had some zucchini and yellow squash and broccoli on the side which was nice. I noticed everyone else got pizza. Seems even the takeout was all pizza....I wish we could give.5 ratings as this was really a 3.5 due to the service, but decided on the4 because the sauce and presentation was so good.

"Good Italian in Raleigh"Came here with my son on a Saturday evening around 6pm-- didn't need a reservation and was immediately seated. There's a large bar right inside the door but two large open dining spaces inside. We were seated near the piano, which was lovely-- the player was great and played popular songs very well (e.g., Sinatra- Theme from New York New York, Stevie Wonder- I Just Called to Say I Love You). Between the music and talking, it was a little loud inside, but not uncomfortably so. And my son was happy they were showing the NCSU basketball game (quietly) on the TV in the background. The menu has standard American Italian favorites, but is much more upscale than divey Italian places-- even having choices like lobster ravioli. I opted for chicken parmigiana and my son got a custom calzone. We split a cannoli for dessert.Food came out relatively quickly-- maybe 10-15 minutes. My chicken parm was excellent-- one of the best I've had- nice thinly sliced chicken, tasty breading, flavorful sauce. My son's calzone was HUGE. Calzones are often big and hollow, but his was PACKED with cheese and toppings (see pic). He could only eat half of his, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The cannoli (vanilla) was also excellent though a bit pricey. All the dishes cost a bit more than at divey Italian places-- the chicken parm was $21 before tax and tip. That said, for a nice settings and excellent quality, I think this was fair. And the service was good too-- they cleared empty plates quickly and got us water as needed.Overall, I'd happily come back, especially if wanting a small splurge.

Came here and pigged out.I came on a random weekday during lunch and it was pretty quiet, which i preferred.I ordered the lasagna, chicken parmesan, garlic knots, and side of meatball.I enjoyed everything and had plenty of leftovers. I was craving everything so I ordered it all and just ate the leftovers over a couple meals.

Highly disappointed dinner. This was on my list to visit since it was recommended by a friend. My chicken parmigian dish was inedible. I was unsure if it was overcooked or it was bad chicken but was unable to chew it. Trimed off the edges, ate my pasta side, and called it a night. Service was fast, garlic knots were good.

Vic's is a nice Italian restaurant. Price point is a little on the high end. Service is great, they have a great Selection of wine and full bar. The pizza was my first encounter. My first pie was perfection. Great flavor, portion was spot on, and it was cooked well. The bottom was the pizza had a crispy bottom and was delicious. A few orders in between were take out and my last take out pizza was not consistent with the first. I ended up tossing the pizza. The bottom was soggy and inedible. Not a great feeling especially for the price. Overall 6/10 for your local pizzeria.

Very solid place for Italian in Raleigh. Amazing atmosphere, the pianist played lovely tunes and the decoration is on point as well as the lighting. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food selection was great, the portions were very good too. It was a bit on the pricier side but it's okay since everything was so good. I will definitely come back, the calzone at the next table looked divine and I can't wait to try it!

The only reason I'm giving it 1 star is because the customer service was excellent . The meatballs taste like they came from canned wieners --you know, the wieners that come in a can--that's what the meatballs taste like . The calzone had no ricotta and little mozzarella , mostly just bread . There are a lot better choices out there. I'm not affiliated with this company, but you should check out Bella Monica instead .

Well, got this pie about 30 minutes ago and had a few slices. I've been really excited to try this place, and was unfortunately pretty dissatisfied. The pie was more or less a gloopy mush. Bottom falling apart, ton of grease. Not worth it.Edit: i did end up calling and receiving a refund quite unfortunate

The prices on the menu do NOT include a 3% "Conv Fee". Therefore the listed prices are misleading. The "Conv Fee" is added on the check and grouped with "Sales Tax" and included in "Total Taxes". Our server said it was a fee for using a credit card. It is therefore not a tax and shouldn't be called such. It should also be disclosed up front.Neither our server nor the bartenders knew what beers they offered. Specifically, they had a tap handle from Ponysaurus Brewing company, a craft brewery that makes many different beers. They did not know which Ponysaurus beer they were serving. They kept saying "Ponysaurus". They couldn't understand when I tried to explain that Ponysaurus is a brewery, not a specific beer. The only reason this isn't rated 1 star is the food is very good. I won't be back until they change their dishonest menu practices.
